In this video, I take a look at the most broken setup in the game that can practically make dying impossible if setup correctly. This involves collecting 4 different early to late harmode accessories that increase dodge chance an immunity frame duration... you should give it a try!

Don't forget that cross necklace can be upgraded to star veil and black belt can be upgraded to master ninja gear

@@Ahmed-uw2po the necklace and veil do not stack, neither does belt and ninja gear, but ninja gear and veil or necklace/veil do stack.

lol that was gonna be my comment but I saw yours also this is a little embarrassing but the only accessory I'm missing is the climbing claws I found them on my first world then accidentally sold and exited the npc shop and I've gone to around 50 more worlds and still haven't found another I wonder if the code in the game literally just won't let me get all the items same thing with sandstorm in a bottle lol sorry this turned into a giant ramble ^_^_^_^ but if you read it thank you for your time.

Hallowed armour is really busted, even if you only plan on using it for the dodge effect. I’ve used hallowed armour in mmftw journey to gain its set vinous effect which lasts for 30 seconds, then switch back to full damage armour. It helps a lot with super hard hitting bosses and it’s a great way to start out a boss fight, as for 30 seconds max you can get hit and not take damage
Thats gonna be even easier to do in the next update. I thought to use it to tank but the feature would be much more useful with the dodge from hallowed armour

Many mmftw players have agreed, this is the only armor you'll need to finish vanilla terraria, just combine it with master ninja gear and brain of confusion
As someone who has beat mmftw, i completely agree, crimson is much more useful than corruption in this instance
as some who beat ftwmm daytime empress of light pre-golem, I can agree this was the set up I used, along with fishron wings, soaring insignia (from nightime), terraspark boots, and damage accesories

With the new load out options in 1.4.4, it will be easy to switch from tanky style to the invincibility setup for boss fights
ya I can't wait especially for fishing it'll help a lot I wonder if they'll add a feature to put weapons with the set so you basically could just switch classes mid play through ^_^ ooo imagine they added a workbench to mix potions together so that you could make certain batches of 1 potion with all the effects for what ever cause whether it be fishing fighting grinding for drops mining or just plain fun ^_^ that's a fun Idea
there's high possibility that devs after seeing this video will nerf Hallowed armor, I use it personaly on one of my endgame characters and yeah it is really good even in For The Worthy worlds this makes everything super easy, Hallowed armor ability would be much better for later armors or maybe even be obtainable after killing the Moonlord because it's even better than Solar if you sacrifice some damage for being even more tanky

Be VERY careful when using weaker enemies to get I-frames when fighting Moon Lord. His attacks WILL override almost any other enemy’s attacks. AKA, you’ll take his damage over another enemy’s.
Thats why lava is Better for getting imunity frames
Empress of lights attacks also override

Something I discovered watching some guy's video (i dont remember unfortunately) that the Moonlord's eye hand contact damage doesnt scale with difficulty (aka its always going to do 80 damage) so, in master mode, you can use a invencibility set that has 80 defense or higher and just stick to moonlord's hand, this way, he will never hit you.

I’ve been waiting for builds like these to get more attention, they’re super good and not too impactful on your dps. I almost always use dodge accessories as they’re just super good especially on master mode and ftw playthroughs.
After 3 playthroughs in Master Mode I've actually realized how much you start leaning into the dodge chance there, as opposed to defense or damage reduction. Since damage in the late game can get so wacky your big numbers (aside from damage) become mostly meaningless, you start to invest more heavily into movement and dodge chance, since you'll be dead in like 3 hits from a boss anyways.
Definitely trying this setup next playthrough, I normally go for a more tankier build so this will be interesting

I managed to get a setup which served as the perfect combination of regen, defense, damage reduction, dodge chance, healing optimization, and immunity frame duration. I’m not exaggerating when I tell you I managed to tank maximum difficulty-journey mode Moon Lord. Haven’t tested on a for the worthy world, but I’m fairly optimistic it’d stand up to that too.
Edit:
1) A very thick box with honey, heart statues on a timer, a bed (sleeping boosts your health regen considerably), a campfire, a heart lantern, and a bast statue.
2) Solar leggings, squire’s great helm, and Valhalla knight breastplate.
3) Celestial shell, shiny stone, frozen shield, charm of myths, brain of confusion, star veil, and master ninja gear (all set to warding).
4) Brand of the inferno, stardust dragon staff, and rainbow crystal staff.
5) Sharpening station (Even though you won’t be able to actually attack with the BotI, its armor pen actually applies to summons if you have a melee weapon out), bewitching table, wrath potions, summoming potions, inferno potions, any exquisitely stuffed buff, lifeforce potions, endurance potions, iron skin potions, and heartreach potions.

I tried the thing with heart statues but for some reason after a while they stopped spawning hearts even though i was losing health. seemed bugged , tried to face tank Moon Lord on master difficulty, and i could until his second phase then i died!

I have found that using Vampire knives and this set up is good because when you do take damage you just heal right up.
If you also add in the shiny stone, standing still will make it so that even if you get damaged, you'll regen almost instantly.
Yes. I still wish it could be crafted with the Regen Band into something even better.

This is for real the most useful terraria video I have ever seen.
When I first played 1.4 in mobile, and realized that the Hallowed Armor have a dodge set bonus, I instantly build said set-up as I remember in the old days of Terraria Mobile where Master Ninja Gear and Cross Necklace and Titanium Armor was something. I thought myself I found a really weird but broken build and when I search in TH-cam it was already a thing and it was even better with the honey+statue
These methods don't work for empress of light, moon lord or the Martian saucer as they're attacks override invincibility frames. The weak enemy statue set up is quite good however its not very reliable especially when using a weapon.
Using a fall damage set up is much better. Make a hoik loop that gives one damage constantly within the invincibility frames.
This is also better as it can be made pre-boss if you increase the fall damage to 2 and use a lot of regeneration stuff
they don't override imunity frames,their attacks just get priority over the weak enemies, if you put lava instead of the slimes they can't touch you because lava has priority over all projectiles

It's weird, I started watching your channel a bit about a month or 2 ago, started playing a new master mode playthrough because of it, and just last night I used this setup minus the cross necklace to cheese day empress lol, we have come full circle.
you also cant ignore that black belt upgrades to the best dodge accessory in the game, the master ninja gear, so thats great too
cross necklace can also be upgraded but ehhhh the stars dont do too much
otherwise, i imagine this would have good synergy with the vampire knives (lifesteal + melee helmet gives the most defense) and generally any other DR or defense boosting accessories like the frozen shield, hero shield, worm scarf, etc
i would use star veil for extra damage everytime ur hit, and master ninja gear for dash and climbing capabilities plus frozen shield for no knock back and damage reduction
I imagine adding the Shiny Stone and other regen stuff would do quite a lot. Using this type of build, but with Beetle Armour, I (using only flails) and my friend (using only sentries) beat Expert Empress of Light with me just tanking without moving at all.
I was really happy when I crafted beetle armor. I easily took down night EoL during sandstorm in hallowed desert, and I love this armor, more than even post moon lord armor.

Could you talk about the vahalla knight armor set, I use a lot and I don't really ser people talking about it. It makes events pretty easy, even the celestial pillars.

I remember farming the Empress of Light as a mage. Used spectral armor (with a mask) periodically changing the holy armor to get a buff. Seriously, don't throw away that armor, buff is very useful
I wish there were more tinkers for the Cross Necklace. The Star Veil is nice and all, but I think it would be cool if the Cross Necklace could be combined with the Panic Necklace, Paladin's Shield, or Ankh Shield.
Thematically speaking, it would make most sense if it could combine with the Paladin’s Shield, since they both are “holy” accessories.
Okay, but cross necklace/panic necklace would be one of the most broken accessories in the game, and ngl, I am all for it
Panic necklace? Nah, how about Sweetheart Necklace.
@@yungmuney5903 hmm, maybe . . . the cross necklace is already pretty powerful (essentially 50% damage reduction) and I think sweetheart + cross might be a little much. But, there’s no real way to tell unless it gets added to the game.

In my Mastermode Ftw ranged playthrough, I used dodge build as soon as I got Hallowed armor. It's just so busted I even managed to beat empress of light with it on daytime after 2 tries, because getting hit with that setup is a complete myth

I recommend you do a video on maxing out crit chance. maybe split it up into prehardmode, hardmode, expert mode, and endgame. You would be surprised but the lucky modifier can be way better than the menacing modifier.
Edit: Also fun fact: because breaker blade does extra damage to undamaged enemies, getting the lucky modifier on all accessories and getting high crit chance with armor can make it do over 200 dmg CONSISTENTLY and even sometimes over 400 dmg in ONE HIT! It is most useful against normal enemies but during a boss fight you will want to switch to a weapon with more range.
I have switched to a build like this instead of one with defense.

Unrelated to this but crystal assasin armor is quite underrated as an equivalent to ore armors, even comparing to chlorophyte armor in stats, and its dash allows the shield of cthulu to be replaced by a helpful accessory such as the charm of myths or star veil
Btw, the next update 1.4.4 will include armor loudout feature with hotkeys. Which will be OVERPOWERED because you can use the dodge once and switch armor in the middle of the fight without autopause!

just have a 2nd set of armor and maybe even accs in your inventory or vanity slots and swap them in when needed

that farm brought great pain to my eyes. Try to avoid using spike ball traps in event farms as they (similar to the stardust cell staff) can mess with enemy immunity frames and eat up damage that could be dealt by higher damage spear traps and summons.
If you stack this with the worm scarf and reforge everything to warding then you can add extra layers of invincibility
You could probably combine this with some regen accessories and furniture items to make yourself practically invincible even on the chance that you do get hit with something bad.
That's why he's standing in honey in the video, for the regen bonus from doing that.
I usually use that mana flower cape and a star veil with the specter armor that heals you with magic damage now that is a mage tank if you run out of mana just get hurt if your health is to low just do magic damage
just a little thing that could be helpful to add you can have the master ninja gear and black belt on at the same time
note: i don't know if it stacks with black belt because it's crafted with it

I only use this setup when playing true melee as that makes the class far more viable and fun. Especially when paired with the overhaul mod where melee is considerably changed to be more like melee should be.
Shiny stone and charm of myths can also be equiped to boost your life regen in case the boss damage is too much
Unfortunately shiny atone only goes into affect when your standing still and doing absolutely nothing. Meaning if you want to use it, you can't even attack or use consumables or anything
I've been tanking for a few years and I use Star Veil, BoC (Brain of Confusion) and MNG (Master Ninja Gear) as parts of my tank build. Paired with Shiny Stone, Beetle/Solar armor, Worm Scarf and Frozen Turtle Shell/Frozen Shield, you can tank most bosses without statues (even in Master Mode). It's also nice to bring a Brand of the Inferno; it can parry if you block at the right time, which will completely nullify the damage of the parried attack. This isn't even considering the use of potions, which would make the build even stronger.

Gungnir did a video on the regeneration aspect of tankiness, in which he tanks moon lord with a specific setup like this, creating opportunity for afk farming the final boss. I don't remember what the video was called, but if you want another way to go about "tanky" then that's the video to watch.
I think philosopher's stone + hp Regency band accessory would be pushing this build over the top for sure, as that small damage that does get through just gets regened back faster, and can use hp potions faster. Just a thought

Only problem I found is that after a the armor’s invincibility frame is used it takes a while for another one to activate and there’s only a mild chance to dodge attacks even with the brain and black belt so you’ll be exposed to damage
You can actually stack both the cross neckless and black belt to make it literary no window for enemies to attack

and remember, have most if not all of these items (minus the armor obviously) have a buff that gives armor for when the doge is on cooldown
If you equip the black belt and the master ninja gear as well, you can get even more dodge chance
i remember when brain of confusion was a useless item, it just had the confusion thingy when enemies hit you, now it has a dodge chance, which also increases the crit when you dodge.
gonn use this idea soon, does kinda wonder if i can still use the master ninja gear or star veil cuz their both upgraded versions of the ones mentioned
I remember when there was a glitch with titaniun armour (when it had the shadow dodge set bonus) where if you had it as the last buff in the buff slots it would stay on permanently

Now, this is kind of a different story in multiplayer due to having accessories like the frozen shield because it helps your friends stay alive too. (Great video for solo play)
The dodge set works on Empress of light and is recommended to use if you are doing a summoner run [Hallowed armor set+Brain of confusion+Cross necklace+Master ninja gear and a Ankh shield/Cobalt shield]

This was the same set I used to beat day time empress of light,trust me it's op
but it does still leave open a couple accessory slots for dmg reduction, defence boosting and/or regen increase so that when you inevitably DO take damage, you can brush it off more easily

Ur content is so underrated
budget version of this, which could probably be the extra jar of cherries on top of this build, is abusing the i-frames you get from bouncing off an enemy, or training dummy, with the slime mount. if you used bat statues to hit you while you rapidly bounced off a training dummy while bumping your head against a low ceiling, you could abuse both builds simultaneously.

absolutely essential armor for mftw, not having armor progression for the latter parts of the game is a little sad, but it's just such a fun difficulty it's still a blast
idk man im playing mftw with a friend and even thoe im using chlorophyte armore and hes using the hallowed armor he still dies ALOT more then me xD were prepping to fight plantera so maybe soon ill need but so far i don't see the necessity

Yes, but you can still cheese moonlord with i-frames with high enough armor count, The eye socket in moonlords hand after destroying on of his eyes deal constant damage which can be (ab)used for i-frames. WaffleTime have made a video about this
wings, + jet boots, + panicked necklace + sargent unite sheild + sheild of Kuthlu has got to be the best pre hardmode set up in my opinon
Hallowed armor set buf rework might be made for empress of light fight
I would say the most busted setup would be the slimemount + target dummies, which is also compatible with the armour and accessory recommendations

I would honestly put them all on 4% damage increase since you won't be taking hits either way and assuming one is good at dodging then more damage would the best option IMO.

You Can Equip Worm Scarf Too...To Make While You Recharge Your Dodge/Confused/Holy Meter It Reduce Damage

I actually love how they buffed daytime EoL by making all dodge buffs not work, it makes you focus on damage and makes the fight way more intentes and fun.

I wonder how it works with the Cthulhu shield? It also gives invincible frames when colliding with an enemy.
