I think one of the more impressive things about James Earl Jones's voicing of Vader is just how well he can punctuate each and every syllable like with 0:29, despite how JEJ normally has a sort of drawl to his voice and has admitted to having trouble with stuttering. Being able to switch from naturally using longer sounds in your normal voice to all of these pointed, sharp sounds in Vader's lines is impressive.

Well said, the fact that vader is so imposing even when not speaking is testament to David Prowse.
I agree completely. His acting in the way he moved was brilliant. Only one man could be the voice of Vader, and only one man could be the body. It took two great performances to create this character. That shows what a masterful character Vader is.

Darth Vader showed that fighting him required much more than light saber skills (but he also was better in that area) -> when Darth Vader proceeded to throw object after object against him and simply look at Luke struggle.
The Admiral Ozzle killing and Piett promotion is the best scene in all of star wars, maybe in cinema history. I laugh every time Piett side eyes Ozzle as he's passing out.
It's one of my favorite scenes with Vader. He chokes dude out, gives orders and a field promotion all at the same time. Cold-blooded.
He was very careful not to be too surprised by his promotion...
