That blend of Anakin and Vaders voice at the end is amazing and deeply chilling. Vader works so well as a terrifying antagonist simply because you don't see much of him, it's mainly the threat of him that's portrayed.

Anakin was always in there deep down. It's been a point through all off the trilogies. Plus this is not too long after his and Kenobi's first duel that left him mangled in the grand scheme of things.

He didn't voice Vader this time. Rather, they used the software Respeecher to reconstruct his voice. Personally, I think it's for the best considering James Earl Jones is already in his 90s
Hayden Christianson’s voice and James Eral Jones voice combined to make one bone chilling voice. That’s going to leave you with nightmares every night.
I think that the scene when he lands on the planet and starts torturing and killing people with the force does a perfect job of creating the image that he is known for. I used to always wonder why everyone was so scared of him in A New Hope and think that the comic books and tbis scene do a good job of illustrating that. He is brutal and like a monster showing up and causing people to cower because of his sheer power.
Vader is so intimidating and fierce in this series. He can literally takedown a whole star ship using the force. No wonder he says the qoute-"You don't know the power of the darkside."
remembering anakin from clone wars and even the prequels, and how he seem like such a caring, loyal, and even loving person and then seeing what he turned into just makes vader so much more heartbreaking
When padme died he had nothing left to lose so he stopped caring. The only purpose for Vader was to serve his master. Which he did for 20 + years but also he had his own personal agendas, specifically his serious obsession with slaughtering jedi or Hunting down his former master for revenge, Vader had deep hatred for the jedi, the order that took everything from him
The way he’s messing with the inquisitor when she tries to kill him is just so amazing, really shows how powerful he actually is. He’s not making any effort for a while, just dodging her attacks elegantly, not even drawing his lightsaber, trying to give her the vague impression she could actually win, which we all know is total bull. Such great stuff in this show.
To me, this version of Vader is a lot more reflective of how he's portrayed in the comics. He's violent, ruthless, and dark. He's the sh*t and he knows he's the sh*t. He barely has any lines but he makes an unbelievable impact on the audience. He is so much darker, and I think everyone prefers it that way.
Seeing Vader unleashed was the only thing about his show I truly enjoyed. As a kid in 77 I was afraid of Vader when he first appeared on the screen. He remains my favorite Star Wars character to this day. 🍻
‘YOU WERE WARNED… WHAT DEFEAT… WOULD BRING!’ I know it wasn’t James Earl Jones, but the thought of him actually performing that in a studio with raw passion and anger gives me chills just as much as the scene itself.
Just now realized, if you listen to kenobi screaming in pain while being burned by vader, sounds exactly like anakin after obi wan cut of his limbs and getting burned on mustafar, the cycle is complete
It would be even more intimidating if Lord Vader grabbed all three Inquisitors as punishment for letting Obi-Wan escape easily even though there were three of them in the Inquisitorious
Except only Sister failed here - Sister was the one who called the other Inquisitors off and allowed Obi-Wan to infiltrate the base and THEN got distracted with an insignificant little pilot
Obi Wan may be upset on how Anakin became Vader, but Kenobi is also full of guilt not just because he felt he failed to train Anakin but he believed he let his old master Qui Gonn down. He promised his master he would train Anakin and he felt he disappointed him as well as thinking Yoda was right about being against the idea of Anakin being a Jedi in TPM.
I wish they made a Vader movie or series showing how Vader trained with Sidious in his suit. We see him create his light saber and build his castle on Mustafar
I forgot how menacing Darth Vader really was. They did a damn good job on these series making him as intimidating and dark and as he can be. I got to admit this is way better than I thought it was going to be. Not to mention so was Obi-Wan!!!
The emperor actually wanted anakin to take over him and respected the rule of two, only until sidious realized vader will not live up to his potential did he give up on the rule of two so he wasn’t actually afraid
@@davidortiz3094 he wasn’t afraid, doctor cylo made the suit and it was made with the best resources at hand and sidious allowed vader to replace parts of the suit to his liking so it’s not weak at all, vader has survived lightning many times before he died, he only died to sidious lightning because he 1. Sacrificed himself with the intention of dying, 2. Stopped using the darkside to fuel his durability so he was just a regular Jedi in a failing life support system

5:32 That's so frikkin cool! Just grabs a whole damn ship and brings it back down. Shows how strong he is when Yoda struggled with a mere X-Wing Fighter.
1:42 I remember watching this for the first time and going “HOLY SHIT”. Dude snapped a kid’s neck with 0 hesitation. THIS is the Vader I wanted to see. Ruthless and pure anger, as he’s shown here
The fact that vader can even keep up with obi wan is a testament to how powerful his connection with the force is despite losing so much of his body and medachlorians, imagine how powerful he would be if he hadnt lost his limbs! I feel like it would have been a complete washout if he hadnt
I think Anakin was always the most powerful, but like most angsty teens, he cannot focus that power. Most of Anakin's thoughts were concerned with random BS with training Ashoka, war, getting promotions, love, respect, other crap, instead of focused on 1 target. Sidious never planned on ruling the galaxy forever, he was just happy that he won the fight and became emperor. He was hoping that Vader will become the most powerful Sith in history. When Sidious saw how badly injured Vader was, it's like a rich man watching his new Bugatti get wrecked on the 1st day. Sidious became more interested in cementing his own legacy since it was clear Vader wasn't going to go down as the most powerful Sith of all time, therefore he had to be remembered for something big like the Death Star and not for something insignificant like temporarily overthrowing the galactic senate. All things considered, few people knew that the Emperor was even a Sith lord, or a force wielder during his time as an emperor. People thought the force was a myth at that point. Vitiate was more legendrary Sith lord than Sidious in history due to the length of his reign over a couple centuries. After Sidious died, he only reigned a paltry couple of decades all things considered. That's like a blip in the history of a 25,000+ year galactic republic... Not even 1% of its history lmao. Sidious greatest feat is basically ending the Jedi order, but now that Mary Sue is here, who knows if he succeeded.
People don’t realise he’s still fairly young in that suit in the OT he’s older and older he’s doesn’t live old like other species so it makes perfect sense how he is in this series. Killing people in the town that would be nothing to him he killed kids before the suit and once in the suit he’s fully transformed to evil think some peasants would faze him. Also obi wan people don’t really understand how strong powerful and important to the whole of Star Wars he is he definitely doesn’t get the recognition he deserves.
In the second fight against Kenobi, we can see that Vader becomes somewhat desperate and starts to use both of his hands and he uses more traditional style compared to his more signature style of lightsaber dueling.
I love how the blue light illuminates on Vader's face symbolizing the pain, suffering and tragedy that he had went through putting him in a sad light and how the red light illuminating on Vader's face symbolizes the wrath, vengeance and hate that he has accepted putting him in quite the terrifying light
1:30 let’s be honest in this scene Vader knows exactly where kenobi is he makes a direct path towards him without glancing down at possible paths/hiding spots, all the kills was just to mess with kenobi before they started fighting

I seen time and time again why Darth Vader is called "the Angle of Death" by so many people in the rebellion It's not just the sound of his breathing that makes him scary it's also his voice and red lightsaber that makes him really scary
It's kind of funny how this is the most aggressive and violent we've seen Vader, being how he's still in his early years pre-character development into the Cold, Calculating Sith lord we see later, but it's hard to take him fully serious because they had to put him in the old, clunkier, goofier version of the suit used in the first movie.

It's gonna be a dark day when both of those legends are no longer with us.
Hayden Christianson’s voice and James Eral Jones voice combined to make one bone chilling voice. That’s going to leave you with nightmares every night.
It actually breaks my heart, man... You can tell Anakin's still there, trapped inside, angry with everyone and himself for what he lost...
What I especially love is how Hayden's vocal inflection also kinda sounds like Sebastian Shaw from the end of ROTJ, too
I think that the scene when he lands on the planet and starts torturing and killing people with the force does a perfect job of creating the image that he is known for. I used to always wonder why everyone was so scared of him in A New Hope and think that the comic books and tbis scene do a good job of illustrating that. He is brutal and like a monster showing up and causing people to cower because of his sheer power.
I know that wa sthe first time since I was 6 watching star wars and being scared of vader.
Vader is so intimidating and fierce in this series. He can literally takedown a whole star ship using the force. No wonder he says the qoute-"You don't know the power of the darkside."
A Jedi can do the same thing .... If they're at least half as strong as:
Anakin/ Vader.
[See Starkiller, as a Jedi. ]
remembering anakin from clone wars and even the prequels, and how he seem like such a caring, loyal, and even loving person and then seeing what he turned into just makes vader so much more heartbreaking
I love Vader getting angry at idiots and seeing him choke them out will never get old
Rest in peace James earl jones, You have done so much in creating such a fallen hero character, yet the most fearsome in qll of the galaxy.
RIP James Earl Jones. You will forever be missed. 😭🙏🏻
This show and Rogue One made me love Vader even more.
James Earl Jones will be missed we were truly lucky for an iconic voice.
Only 3 more years and JEJ would've been around for the 50th of the release.
7:11 ballsy! I think Vader respected that and didn’t “punish” him right there for questioning him.
"At once, Lord Vader!"
Man….Darth Vader will always scare the shit out of me; he’s so powerful and ruthless
Only 10min? Darth Vader deserves his own show
Bruh he has a whole saga
@@elliotthayes6235 This show was supposed to be Revenge of The Sith 2 with Vader and Obi-Wan as the majority of screen time
I think a little bit of vader goes a long way. Too much of him lessens his impact to me tbh
@@TFSZinx fr
There is a whole series of great Darth Vader comics you could read. Just a suggestion.
Hearing Vader voice and Anakin voice at the same time is chilling "Anakins gone im what remains"
Rip Lord Vader and may the force be with you, thank you James
Seeing Vader unleashed was the only thing about his show I truly enjoyed. As a kid in 77 I was afraid of Vader when he first appeared on the screen. He remains my favorite Star Wars character to this day. 🍻
Check out all the SW universe sith
Idk if this makes sense, but sometimes its hard to think that its Anakin in the suit but in this show it really feels like its Anakin
I agree 100%
‘YOU WERE WARNED… WHAT DEFEAT… WOULD BRING!’ I know it wasn’t James Earl Jones, but the thought of him actually performing that in a studio with raw passion and anger gives me chills just as much as the scene itself.
Two things we can take away from us: Hayden Christensen is awesome, and James, Earl Jones, has still got that voice! It’s just awesome all around!
It was AI tech for Vader, something they used too make Luke sound so young
You’re with the force now James ❤💔
Just now realized, if you listen to kenobi screaming in pain while being burned by vader, sounds exactly like anakin after obi wan cut of his limbs and getting burned on mustafar, the cycle is complete
I like how he slowly pecks the fuel he knocked over with his lightsaber while looking at him like: "Oh yeah. Now burn like I did."
LMAOOOO, it was kinda dank 💀
Vader got his lick back
Dude yesss , I heard that when I first watched that scene I swear I thought I was trippin
It would be even more intimidating if Lord Vader grabbed all three Inquisitors as punishment for letting Obi-Wan escape easily even though there were three of them in the Inquisitorious
That’s what he would have done in the comics.
Except only Sister failed here - Sister was the one who called the other Inquisitors off and allowed Obi-Wan to infiltrate the base and THEN got distracted with an insignificant little pilot
Last time I checked, in the comic he maimed them all
@@2Scribble wouldn't be the first time vader punished extra people.
He is one with the Force.
The way Vader stops Reva's lightsaber at the start of the fight and turns with a "Are you f**king serious?" look is absolutely hilarious.
I wish they made a Vader movie or series showing how Vader trained with Sidious in his suit. We see him create his light saber and build his castle on Mustafar
There's comics for that.
@@Elvisbackpack I know but it should be a movie/show because not everybody reads comics
Rest in peace James Earl Jones. :'-(
fun fact: vader had only 44 minutes of screen time in the whole original trilogy
Kenobi should have been so much better, it's so sad when you see how good it is in places and so disappointing in others
That is true, though Most people can agree that Vader was truly one of the best things about this show!
This is the best of the entire show in 8 minutes.
This is so much better than the latest Star Wars series we gotten lately.
I forgot how menacing Darth Vader really was. They did a damn good job on these series making him as intimidating and dark and as he can be. I got to admit this is way better than I thought it was going to be. Not to mention so was Obi-Wan!!!
The part where Vader pulls the ship back down to the ground then rips it clean open using the force was very cool
5:24 "i will bring him myself"...give chills everytime
The one thing Disney succeeded in doing was making Darth Vader the absolute biggest gigachad in the entire franchise.
What I wouldn’t give to see Christopher Nolan or someone like that direct Hayden / Darth Vader / Anakin in a movie all about him.
The emperor was afraid that if Anakin killed Obi-Wan he'd be like fuck it got my jedi master time for my sith master
The emperor actually wanted anakin to take over him and respected the rule of two, only until sidious realized vader will not live up to his potential did he give up on the rule of two so he wasn’t actually afraid
@@Capybara2240 He was afraid. Hence why making Vader suit so vulnerable
@@Capybara2240 no sidious literally made it so his suit was vulnerable to lightning, that’s canon
@@nickmiller9910 it’s not canon lmao, the suit was made by doctor cylo with the best equipment and materials on hand. That’s just headcanon, Vaders suit in canon isn’t weak to anything and he’s survived lightning multiple times before
I have no idea how amy times i rewatched the scene where he crushed the ship... Pure goosebumps!!
Viewers: man TH-cam recommendations are being boring lately-
Kenobi Clips: *Hello There!*
Absolutely insane that people still find a reason to complain about this. Every bit of this is just as good as the best of the prequels and the OT, hands down, no question
1:50 That rapid head turn when he hears Kenobi is terrifying
I like Vaders little shin kick 6:31.
😂😂😂
He learn kung fu 🤣🤣
That would hurt like hell with his cybernetic legs banging you

Shows how strong he is when Yoda struggled with a mere X-Wing Fighter.
His suit up was badass
May the Force be with you, James Earl Jones❤
*Obi-Wan:* What have you become?
*Darth Vader:* I am what you made me.
What did he mean I am what you made me
Obi-Wan cut off Anakin's last arm and legs and left him to burn on Mustafar, forcing Vader to live in life support armor until the end.
I always like the way Vader says: “WEAKness…”👍
1:42 I remember watching this for the first time and going “HOLY SHIT”. Dude snapped a kid’s neck with 0 hesitation. THIS is the Vader I wanted to see. Ruthless and pure anger, as he’s shown here
The fact that vader can even keep up with obi wan is a testament to how powerful his connection with the force is despite losing so much of his body and medachlorians, imagine how powerful he would be if he hadnt lost his limbs! I feel like it would have been a complete washout if he hadnt
Not only that but obi at this stage is his one true weakness the memories still haunt him
I think Anakin was always the most powerful, but like most angsty teens, he cannot focus that power.
Rip James Earl Jones
His voice here sounded the best it has since Empire Strikes Back
Big facts. Hope they keep this tone for him

Darth Vader: Obi-Wan!!
Darth Maul:Kenobi!!
That sequence with the damaged helmet was cool.
Mainly for the mixing of Jones and Hayden's voices.
I love how the blue light illuminates on Vader's face symbolizing the pain, suffering and tragedy that he had went through putting him in a sad light and how the red light illuminating on Vader's face symbolizes the wrath, vengeance and hate that he has accepted putting him in quite the terrifying light
Vader fighting the 3rd sister just by using his force tells how powerful He had become.
1:30 let’s be honest in this scene Vader knows exactly where kenobi is he makes a direct path towards him without glancing down at possible paths/hiding spots, all the kills was just to mess with kenobi before they started fighting
What life is this? No happiness, no limbs, barely breathe by himself - nothing but head and heart full of lust in power, hatred and killing.
Love Darth Vader's throne, very fitting for him as a sith lord
One of the only things Disney has done well with Star Wars is Vader. Every time we’ve seen him, it’s captured the character perfectly.
Said no one ever
@@Jackferrett6781 yes because the nobody said Vader was good in the series, or rogue one, or any other time he’s shown up in Star Wars. Stop watching and shut the fuck up if you don’t like it.
When Vader got his mask cut open and talked to Obi Wan in his normal voice and then yelled his name as he walked away for a 2nd time was probably more emotional than anything in Star Wars history.

It's not just the sound of his breathing that makes him scary it's also his voice and red lightsaber that makes him really scary
R rated Vader movie please. That's the only thing I ask for. That's the only movie i actually want to see.
Same but Disney’s too soft
The mercy he showed towards Reva was so unbecoming of Vader.
I don't see how it's hard to take him serious at all. He's super intimidating and terrifying.
