As a 20 year windows user, setting up emulation on the steamdeck is the worst thing I have ever attempted to do on any piece of tech ever. decades of hacking consoles, building emulation frontends up and I cant get anywhere with this thing, it's horrible.
Question. I’m assuming when it downloads the emulators for you. They are in your downloads folder on your desktop? Just like they would be on your pc. And also downloading games, then extracting them to wherever you want?
Great question Rich! All the emulators EmuDeck downloads go into the EmuDeck folder wherever you choose to install them I think the folder is called Launchers - these can be accessed in desktop if needed to tweak configurations etc. Yes you’re right about games - when you download them, extract them and simply paste into the ROMs folder into the correct console folder eg Super Nintendo into snes folder etc as shown in the vid 👍 Hope this helps!
@@PeteTalksTech Hi Pete :) Appreciate the reply. Yeah I’ve already emulated my pc to the max. So no stranger to emulation. But a stranger to emulation on the steam deck lol Is it more or less exactly the same really?

Hey Pete, I followed your guide and when I launched for the first time and did the BIOS check, all of my BIOS were missing - is that expected and I need to download them all? It looks like in your process they were all there apart from 1?
