Yea, i had the hots 🥵 for Helen Hunt. She was the biggest babe back in the 1990’s movies 🎥 That movie was up there with Tremors, almost. It was like a Tremors 2.0 , when all other movies lost that sense of nostalgia...Indiana Jones has it, Back to the Future, Star Wars of course...& Terminator, Rocky, Rambo. After Twister around 1999-2000, i cant think of another Nostalgia legend classic movie...its like the directors of these movies just stopped making them. Oh “Independence Day” with Will Smith was definitely a newer one that is legendary that never gets talked about.
I have never understood the hate for early 3rd gens. I think they look 10x better then the "facelift" they got. Also 2nd gens are awesome and sid the sloth is the best ice age character.
the “facelift” looks awful. the headlights remind me of someone holding their eyes open as wide as they can. everything else they updated was fine, but changing the headlights was stupid
I grew up in a second gen. Which my dad STILL daily drives which is why they will always be my favorite even though I own a 3rd gen. BTW Twister is a great movie.
Second gen is the best because there great towing rigs show builds don’t like too old like a ford at that time or a Chevy at that time and sound so good!
To me the. 4th gen has just aged well. Especially the 13-18’s with the interior refresh. I really like the 5th gens, I want to trade my 17 1500 on 20 or newer 2500 Cummins.
I feel like now that the 5th gen has been out for a few years, the 4th gen has started to look better and better. That truck looked tough, the lines of the side profile on the crew cab is just very rugged looking.
@@200130769 once you remove the emissions the emissions the 6.7 is solid. Also daily driving a 4 speed is ass. And the nv5600 is a slow shifting transmission. You aren't racing with it. The G56 is a little better but a built 68 is the best all round transmission. You aren't making 1000 whp daily driving the truck.
I'm a huge Ford guy but I'll like some things on other brands. I've always had a soft spot for that big red truck from Twister since I was young. I've really had a love for red trucks. I like the 2nd gen for that reason, but the 4th gens look good as well
I love my 2012 4th gen! It’s still got DODGE branding, limited Laramie longhorn. Interior is so clean/modern that it’s def on par with newer 4th/5th gens
I grew up on bein around 2nd gens with my grandpa n uncle's owning em on the farms so that's my reason, n they sound like a actual diesel truck unlike the new ones that are stock, didn't grew up with 1st gens but I grew to love em as my 2nd favorite of the generations
Headlights and interior were some of the first things I fixed on my 3rd gen. Not a fan of those stock headlights.😐 But other than that I love my 3rd gene Dodge.
My dad has a 03 dodge 3500 (not dually) and has never had a single problem beside the ac and it has 169,000 miles on it and still going so if I had to decide it would prop be a A for me
Ive got a '72 d100 stepside, '93 w250 (best of all), and a 2021 3500 dually that i picked up last week for a daily. When i was test driving for a daily chevy, GM or ford didnt come close to dodge for the interior.
First off, Twister is a classic !!! I like the later fourth gen the best, Like the Rebel or Warlock with leather and all available options, they cant be had with the 12" screen but they still have decent touch screen head units. Also keep in mind the 09-18 style is still being made brand new in 2021, so enough people must still want them or Ram would not waste time and money building them. 5th gens are killer and have nicer interiors but like all other trucks today are crazy highly priced.
Well considering Ford had an entire gen of garbage I'd say it's not worth it. Both tritons were junk, the 6.0 was junk, the 6.4 was junk, the 6.7 sends metal shavings through your motor. The frames were weak since the 70s. If you drive over a stump your frame can twist to the point that it pops a dent in your tailgate and then you wont be able to open it. ecoboosts are horrible because of the GDI. The only good motors are the 300, 5.0, and the 6.2 is pretty decent. 3 good motors in decades
How about tanking them on how they run and how reliable they are instead of how they look and personally the 02-05 rams interior you knocked actually has the most comfortable seats their soft and thick while the 06 and newer as have cheap uncomfortable seats that are thin as hell then has plastic after like an inch of cushioning while the older one you guys showed had those comfy seats that were really thick and comfy
Love it. I just got a 2020 ram 2500 Laramie night edition Cummins all black. Next week my Thurin level suspension gets put on along with 35 ridge grapplers and hostile Vulcans . Can wait to post on the gallery. Keep up the good work fellas.
Fun fact i seen somewhere when twister came out that’s when Dodge came out an was experimenting with the v10 an they wanted them to abuse them to test them and some of the trucks were 1500’s an the 2500’s had dubbed in v8 sounds
They've done some mid-gen refreshes on the 4th gen that are pretty tasteful. Not a huge fan of the design of the headlights for 5th gen but still decent especially considering they are LEDs rather than the crappy dim halogen ones. All of the rams 4th gen and up are sexy looking trucks imo.
3rd gen is my personal favorite all time on top of sentimental value they’re just sick trucks. look at justin fios you can’t tell me that’s an E class.
My list from best to worst on looks and reliability would be 2nd gen 3rd gen 1st gen 4th gen 5th gen The bodies on the 1st gens were just more difficult to maintain. But i loved the looks of them.
@@SpeakEazygonebrazyNo, I think he hit the nail on the head. 2nd gens are pretty reliable but there’s a lot of stuff that’s easier to work on in the 3rd gen. 3rd gen is my favorite gen and they’re extremely reliable too don’t get me wrong but 2nd gens seem to do a bit better 250K+ miles. Seems like after about 300K on a 3rd gen you just start dealing with little stupid problems more than a 2nd gen.
I know it’s two years old but I couldn’t agree with your comment more. Had my first 3rd gen, ‘06 3500 dually, for 7 years and put 235K miles on it. Bought jt at 80K and totaled it at 315K. You name a state and that trucks been in it. Anywhere from crossing the George Washington in NYC to running 110 on I15 through Downtown Las Vegas racing an Infiniti, and it never left me stranded. After I wrecked it last December I decided to go to a 4th gen and bought one last this past January. It’s November 1st and my 4th gen is sitting out for sale and I’ve already got another ‘06 3500 Big Horn 6 spd sitting in the driveway to replace it. I’ll never go back to a 4th gen.
Honestly all generations of the dodge ram were dope especially with the Cummins diesel engine. Except the second gen, I have to agree with Junior here. The lights look weird, it's as if they forgot to put the lights and decided to put it there just because it needs lights... There are a lot of clean second gens with a 12 valve and they're super dope. The third gens were dope, I checked just diesels 3rd gen with a facelift. Super clean solid front axle. Good truck.

I have a 12 Ram 1500 in that gold color (Tequila Sunrise) and love the truck and especially the color. No joke, I get at least a compliment every week from complete strangers about the color. It's amazing. And Twister? Oh yeah, that's no "B" movie. The late Bill Paxton and Helen Hunt did a great job...
3rd GEN, the CP3 common rail 5.9 has just enough electronics to bring it to the modern era, but not enough to make it unreliable. The cab is updated enough with modern amenities. The poverty pump 12v trucks are super reliable, the problem is the 2nd GEN truck around the engine.
dont forget chuck norris drove a second gen in walker texas ranger. my cousin has a lifted 1 gen that was his first truck and it looks sick, now im 15 and got a 3rd gen cummins. my dad has a 4th gen flatbed dually. I love dodge lol :)
I custom ordered my 2019 Ram 3500 Laramie Cummins, through the dealership straight from the factory in Feb 2019. That 1000FT/LB torque is just amazing.

Twister second gen they did have 2500 models during the point when she when crazy after the power line fell onto the bed. And the last scene when they had 2 dorothy's on the back when the Tree log gets wedged between the axle. I love that move and I have my 24 value Cummins best Model.🤗
Drove a couple of Chevy trucks, currently driving a 2021 Ram 1500 Big Horn. Trying to get a Ford 150, along with Tundra and Titan just to see who makes the all around truck. But I’m starting to realize nobody could wrong with any pick up truck at this point.
I love second gen dodge ram trucks my favorite version is actually the 95-97 dodge ram sport off road club cab truck but almost all of them are short bed and I want a long bed, so I got a 2000 dodge ram Laramie slt quad cab long bed 5.2 litre 318 magnum v8 46RE AT 4X4 and it has the premium infinity 6 speaker amplifier filters and tweeters on the windshield pillars, and the infinity Chrysler cassette tape player CD am/FM stereo receiver mine is gloss black and white pinstripe might have been silver pinstripe originally not sure.. and the mist grey interior and mine still has the headliner.
I own a 2012 ram 2500 had original 6,7 Cummins in it. I blew up my engine and traded it off for some boot and received a 2014 6.7 to install. After investigation I found the the '14 will mechanically fit into my truck but it will not plug in. the plugs on the '14 engine I now have don't fit the wire harness plugs in my '12 truck. Unable to go back on the trade, long story, but im looking into finding another engine to purchase to get back into my truck. Overall, my main question that I'm needing experienced professional help with is, what year, model ram can I pull a compatible engine out of that will fit and plug into my 2012 2500. I have heard "10-"13 2500 engines will work. I have heard only '11-'12 2500 engines will work. I have heard '11-'12 3500 engines will work but nothing 4500 or bigger. I need some professional help here. I've already made a mistake once, I have to get this truck back on the road and I don't want to dig any deeper without correct direction. Thank you for what you all do, and any help, advice, or referrals in the right direction is greatly appreciated.
Third gen facelift was the best looking truck of that time. Don't like the fourth or fifth gens much, but I'd take them over first and second gen (but I also think the first gen Dodges are F tier). I've got a white '07, with the Sport package, so it doesn't have that ugly front bumper. If I were to get a current gen truck, it'd be an F-150 or a Tacoma. Best looking current trucks, hands down. Got my wife a 4Runner last year, with the blackout package. Looks so nice.

I really like them all. Though honestly for me the 4th gen is the best looking 😊
Personal for the money I'd say 3rd gen. I got a 06 3500 mega cab srw with a manual. Best truck all around.
Can you guys make a video on best gen chevy silverado. Plz
Twister is a GREAT movie.
The interior in my 17 Sport beautiful. Apparently they’ve only seen crappier/cheaper models when it comes to 4th gens
Yes I have a 2012 limited Laramie longhorn and man it’s def up to par with any newer one. Black on black (chrome wheels) 👌🏽
I’m new to Diesel engines is the 3rd gen any good I’m not looking for looks i need a reliable one?
Im 18 and I’ve seen twister so many times iconic movie😂
Correction the drop shop "mean green" is actually a 2012 with a 2019 1500 front end clip. amazing truck but not a 5th gen.
I love my 2017 1500 R/T Sport ❤️
First or early second gen for the 12 value, but I like the second 3rd gen with the 5.9 still
The 5.9 Cummins was a beast.
