Except every OBS in the world has a raggidy ass plastic interior that is ALWAYS cracked. Cracked dash, cracked broken door cards, rattling handles, broken radios, etc.. Let’s not forget the anemic TBI fueling, exploding transmissions, shitty plastic grills…
My '07 nbs vortec max z71... it'll be on your site soon... its red... 550hp... plastic wood trim and tan interior... just purchased 10k of upgrades... my favorite style... 38yo with mid life crisis here...
I love my GM fleet I have a 1981 single cab C-30 dually, a 2000 K2500 Crew cab Chevy, a 2006 2500 lbz, a 2006 3500 lbz dually and a 2007 3500 LBZ utility truck!! GM all the way!!
You guys should do one for gmc sierras.
If you had to go up driving that 3rd gen. You would not have the same feelings. Love the video
I have a 2005 Chevy Avalanche (“cateye”). Love this truck and it’s been very reliable. Only had to replace heater core. I call it a tie between you two.
Hahah I’m also confused with the 2020s front ends. The HD’s have that hood scoop area that looks frican badass tho and pulls it all together. The k2xx with the square wheel wells is my favorite part. My late 14 has been my favorite to drive. The 2020s round wheel wells aren’t aggressive enough for me. Gen 3 is god followed by the cat eye.
I'm out in Florida I have a 99sierra 5.3l with 301k and it's all original in great shape 1owner truck 2 tone paint
Hell yeah!
I’m beginning to think In about 30 years we are all gonna say wow look at that cateye. Kinda like how we feel about squarebodys. Seems like the cateye are just timeless trucks
I love my 14' GMC best of both worlds
S - 67-72
A - 73-87 Square Body & 03-06 Cat-Eye
B - 88-98 Obs & 14-18 Third Gen Silverado
C - 07-13 Second Gen Silverado
D - 19+
F - 99-02 Silverado
Forgot 60-66: Slap it in B
Obs and cateye are my favorite, also love the 80s style
needed this video!! love my cateye its my first chevy !
Don’t forget the 6.2 is also in certain 11-13 trucks, mine has it
14-15 Silverado for A and cateye for S
88-98 are indestructible though. Most trucks get by with no to minimal rust
As an owner of one I agree
I rode in a '76 C10 with 350, 5/8 ton, drove it. Rode and drove an 84. Rode in a 93, then owned a 03 Sierra and 07 Classic Bowtie.
I got an 03 1500 cateye with 238000 miles and still runs like a champ
I've got a 95 suburban k1500. Runs strong & reliable with basic maintenance. The only thing I don't like about it is the 4 speed transmission has such a large gap between the 3rd & 4th gear it has to slow down to 25mph before it kicks down in gear when towing up hill. If it had something in between there I'd prob drive it till it had nothing left.
2015 4x4 HD 2500. With the 6.0 gas engine. I sold it at 300k. Basic maintenance. Still drives and runs like a top.
IM a ford guy but dang give me an 3rd ben ANY day.
I feel the nostalgia, my earliest memories are being a baby in my parents OBS Fords, now I have on as y first car. Nostalgia gets ya lol
The one he calls f is the best haha. Best headlights hands down.
Also I’m 32 lol 2007-2013 best.
Got an 03 Cat Eye 1500 with 208k miles. The truck still runs like a champ and is like 97% still stock.
Also got an 85 Chevy Silverado Squarebody Stepside. Has a 305 small block. Miles? No clue. A new 350 is going to be dropped in it. Upgrading the cam and rebuilding the transmission. Then all she'll need is a new interior and a paint job
I'm in with Dustin S-F 👌🏽 Cat eye Chevys is cherrrrry
My dad has a almost bone stock fully restored 68 GMC.
I got a 2000 chevy 1500 step side singlecab
Cateye is easily the best
No square body
The worst
I have the 8.1 cat eye
Square body by far is the best, current style is by far the worst for me
the 2022 facelift is like the mix of the 16-18 and the 19 refresh.. Its the sexiest truck of all time imo. i have a 22 rst 5.3 modded up.
All I know is I had an 07 duramax for work when it was new. Never spent so much time on the side of a freeway in my life. Never ran more than 2 days after it was at the dealer. The 02 duramax "beater" back up truck with 300k was solid.
