awesome wheel and tire set up, I was looking to pair this set up and searched to see if someone had them on youtube and BOOM you came up! really like the way it looks and practical for work purposes. great vid!
I never thought I'd like that "look," but you really did a good job here. When you said "baja" i totally got it and you converted me, LOL! It looks good! Congrats!
Great video. I'm gonna have to do a video on my truck on my other channel. I just wanted to throw something by you. A while back I did a bunch of research on the front locking hubs. From what I discovered from tons of forums and talking to superduty mechanics, the front manual lock on the hub is only for when the vacuum system fails for the automatic locking hubs. So, as long as your auto system works, you'll never need the manual hubs. There is a vacuum line on the top of the axle that sends a pulse when you use the auto lock system. I had found this out from when I did the install on my leveling kit and the vacuum line got disconnected.
moostang09 I was on a work site one day and needed 4wd after the install. Auto would not work. I could not figure out why I had to get out and manually lock my hubs. A few very adult language and hair pulling moments later, I found some insight from a ford mechanic on a forum and gave me some information. After inspection I found that disconnected vacuum line, re installed it and auto lock hubs from inside worked again.
Factory fender flares, kick back mudflaps, get rid of the chrome(just a personal thing) and she'll be super amazing looking. Definitely a good upgrade to start with.
I agree Carl, after having the chrome ones on for a while now I have decided to stick with them. Well that and Discount Tire never called me back on the black ones. Lol!! But I do like these better now.
WOW, you did good brother. Looks fantastic, I love those tires,............imo, I would keep the silver lug nuts, they compliment the silver "rivets" in the rim. Next is to get some real shocks, like Fox 2.0. I did my leveling kit today along with the Fox's, night and day difference in ride quality.
Thanks Jim! Where did you pick up your Fox’s? Also weren’t you the one saying you would not use the shock extension? If so it doesn’t put too much strain on them for the added length?
Hi Jim, I'm doing the ready lift 2.5" leveling kit w/ track bar. I heard its best to replace my stock F250 shocks with Bilstein part #24-274951. You went with Fox - where did you pick them up? Thanks in advance!
Hi Rico, I bought them from Stage Three Motorsports, on sale for $479. Fox are better (imo) because they are rebuild able and you can tune them for the way you want
moostang09 I want to do something similar. I do want to stay with the 20" wheels.... just not sure if I want to do wheels as well. Pretty happy with the way the stock wheel looks.... we'll see
Looks great! I love the Method wheels and Nitto tire combo. I was thinking similar but with Toyo open country for my ‘17 F250. I don’t think you can go wrong either way! Sweet ride!
I agree man. I did reach out to a few guys that run the Toyo’s and heard about half way through you get more road noise. Just from a third party so FYI.. That helped my decision to go with the Nitto’s.
Sweet look! Classic and restrained. Got my 17 Super Duty (Lariat + on 20s) about the same time and been dying to see this video. Those are about the best looking wheels I've seen after looking at what seems like billions of them. Just wish I could find some without the faux bead lock.... still these are the best I've seen, and my stock Michelins suck. Thanks for the info and updates.
I am with you on the faux bead locks.. it’s impossible! I appreciated the compliments man and congrats on your truck. I appreciate you watching the channel!
Regarding the comment in the video about removing the wheel to initiate the 4 wheel drive feature, I meant to say that is just for the manual locker. I have a knob inside the truck that I can switch between 2wd, 4Lo and 4Hi. -Sean
Why. It just leave them locked in? That automatic vacuum operated deal will leave you in a bad spot when it failed to engage like it has on many. Your aren’t really going to lose anything by leaving them in the locked position. Ran my last SD at almost 800hp with big tires 170k with them locked in and abused the truck. Never had a ujoint issue or any front end issue besides the automatic vacuum deal not working.
Moose, you only need access to the Manual Hubs if your Automatic 4X4 Button doesn't do anything. It's a failsafe if the vacuum actuator doesn't engage the front diff. I always keep my front caps on and have the key in the truck if I need to get to the hubs.
I think you should stay with the chrome lug nuts. They fit right in with the chrome or polished aluminum accent on the outer edge of the rim. It really looks sharp.
I love this setup and I am looking at setting up my white 2022 F250 with black rims and 18" x 37" tires. What are the original wheel offset? My tire shop said I need a wheel with a -15mm offset. This doesn't seem right to me. If I go with the -15mm offset doesn't that mean that my tire will stick out past the body more?
Hell yeah man!! Love it! I just ordered a EZ LYNK and 4” flo pro exhaust. Debating on starting to make videos.. but I also live in Texas and we should link up! I’ll show ya the delete and you could show me the level and tires!
Yeah I would say so. I think I have had it make contact maybe two times in my normal everyday driving. When I go up a steep driveway from the street at speed it will rub but other than that no issues with it.
Hey a year later how does the level feel? Are the tires wearing good and did you feel you had to put the stabilizer bars on? Also how does the power feel? I’m looking at doing this thing my 2020.
I will be making an update video on ride quality and mpg’s soon. Stay tuned man, just want to get some real miles on the truck so I can give a true opinion.
good info so if one gets 20x9 with dame offset it will work on 37s on just a leveling kit crazy these chevy guys have to do a 8inch lift to put 37s lol
I could be wrong, but I don't think you need to access the front hubs as long as they are on "Auto". I think the "Lock" setting is in case the hubs auto feature fail, the you could manually lock them.
Awesome look. This is the exact setup I’m thinking of running with the Titanium Methods since I have the Magnetic paint, and I’m going with the Carli level. Now that you’ve been running it for a while, has the rubbing given you any trouble? Carli makes an upgraded radius arm for their kit that will clear an extra half inch but it’s $1400. Hate to do it if it’s not necessary. Love the rig!
Thank you for the video.. A little off topic for this video but can you share why you did not install wheel well liners on your truck.. Just looks or another reason.. Thanks!
I really just haven’t gotten around to it. I do want them but it hasn’t been a high priority of mine. I will install them one day just not sure when. Thanks for watching the videos Steve!
Just bought this exact same truck two weeks ago. Where in Texas are you? I'm on the fence on which tires to run (with only 28K miles, mine already need replaced). GREAT look on this tire/wheel combo. I like how they DO NOT protrude outside of the body, aka, that baja look is the jam. Cheers man!
Great channel. I have a 2020 250. Installing leveling kit and method 20x9 -12 offset. Pretty sure I’m going to go with 37” tires. Did you have any major rubbing or trimming. Also did the 37s screw up any of your functions inside. Been seeing on some or three a bunch of codes for hill descent, traction control, lane assist etc. thanks in advance. Keep the vids coming.
How tall is the truck with all of the modifications? I’d like to do a similar set up and would like to know if it would fit in the garage. Thanks and great lookin truck.
Ian I have not measured that yet but I will in the next video about the truck. I am making one soon regarding the ins and outs of owning a 2017-2018 F250-350 with 37’s. Mpg’s, how it drives and so on.
Looks Good! I like the black lugs. I do have a question if you could answer would be greatly appreciated. I imagine you’ve driven quite a few miles since you posted the video. Have you had any issues with “death wobble”. I have a 2017 F250 and had issues with death wobble at about 40,000 miles, it seems that nearly everyone with the 2017 - 19 experience this problem. Ford did finally redesign some of the front end parts including the steering dampener and I have net issues since the installed those (about 2k miles ago) do you think the death wobble might come back if I install the same lift as you? If I go with 37 x 12.5‘s like your set up.. you think we can eliminate the rubbing issue by simply going with the offset that pushes the tires further outside? Thanks so much for your reply to this
Hey man I haven’t had any issues with death wobble. I have installed a dual steering stabilizer from PMF but even before that I never had death wobble.
Could you measure the overall height of the cab after the modification , am on the fence on buying one and doing the same leveling kit and tires , just wondering if it really fits in my garage
i have an older super duty (2007) from what i am reading online it should be the same to do for that. my question is where did you get accurate info on which tires should fit with which wheels? i currently have the 20" king ranch 5 spoke rims, but am about to buy the 18" 2017/2018 super duty rims to have a thicker tire on my truck similar to yours. I really like the stock rims over aftermarket so i would prefer to keep the rims i plan to buy over buying aftermarket. I was initially planning on putting 35's on, but if 37's would fit i would do that in a heartbeat. unrelated note, i also live in dfw, used to live in arlington, but now live in carrollton.
She is a beauty. I've got an 08 6.4. Hoping to get a 6.7 in the near future, doubt it'll be brand new. My pockets aren't that deep..lol. I like the silver on the rims. But I like black and chrome. Are you gonna tint the front windows, that'll look really good. Gotta get some amp steps, it'll make the truck look higher..👍👍
Yes, Yes and more yes! I agree with everything you are saying. Front windows will be done soon, it’s getting stupid HOT in Texas already. Amp steps would be move but that price tag is insane so that’s put off for now.
moostang09 yeah I hear ya they're expensive. I got the brow done across the windshield and love it, don't even need sunglasses most of the time. I'm up here in Massachusetts where starting to get some hot weather. Thinking of moving down to Texas next yr. I love the south cant stand it up here anymore.
Can you run tire chains with that setup without hitting the lower wheel wells or the bumper? It's hard to see the clearance when you have the wheel turned.
@@moostang09. Yeah, I should l have realized that. lol. How close does tire get to the bottom corner of wheel well, when you turn the wheel. I would like to have at least an inch and a quarter.

Sweet ride! I subscribed after seeing a couple of your vids - thanks for the work! After 13 years I traded my F150 for an silver 18' F250 XLT, 6.7L, 3.55. I'm planning to do the ready lift w/ track bar kit and grey/gun metal rims. I'm torn between 20" rims / 35's or 18" rims / 37s. I know its personal preference but was wondering why you went w/ 18's / 37s? Also, in one of your vids you recommended shopping online to see if your dealership can price match - do you have a couple go to sites for parts? Thanks in advance.
Hey Rico! Thanks for checking out the channel and watching some vids. I went with 18/37’s because I like the look of a smaller diameter wheel with a larger tire. I would recommend 37’s no matter what size wheel you go with. In my opinion these trucks are so large the bigger tire really helps the look. For websites typically search TascaParts.com or just the Ford Parts website and have my dealership price match.
moostang09 I will be towing a toy hauler from time to time so the tire guys are telling me to stick with 12ply, which doesn’t come in 37”; 37” only in 10ply. I guess that’s my biggest hold up. Trying to avoid rubbing too. Thanks for the advice! Btw - I like the silver lug nuts setting off the rims bc of the outer silver bolts.
Benny I will make a video discussing this. The wheels and tires have only been on for a few hundred miles so I plan on resetting the mpg’s and seeing what it’s really at.
Thanks for keeping the wheels small!!! 🙌🏻
awesome wheel and tire set up, I was looking to pair this set up and searched to see if someone had them on youtube and BOOM you came up! really like the way it looks and practical for work purposes. great vid!

I like the chrome lugs. They match the chrome bolt heads on the outside ring of the wheel
There you go Sean!! One of the baddest looking truck ever!! I’m all for crime delete black out everything even in matte finish I would much prefer!

I just wanted to throw something by you.
A while back I did a bunch of research on the front locking hubs. From what I discovered from tons of forums and talking to superduty mechanics, the front manual lock on the hub is only for when the vacuum system fails for the automatic locking hubs. I run the center caps up front. I just drill out the center with a hole saw to get to locker on hubs. Looks clean
Did you calibrate your speedometer
Can you fit a 37" spare underneath?
No chance if you plan on putting in a hitch.

Thanks Alex, I was looking at those as well but changed my mind last minute. It’s amazing how wheels and tires personalizes a vehicle so much.
Well dang I'm 30 min from you I'm in yalls area everyday im from granbury

Think the 18s ride smoother than a 20 would?
Sure. Looks good, of course. Any rubbing is a problem. That trumps anything related to how it looks

Great choice with the rims, can’t stand when people put ghetto 22s on an off road vehicle. Defeats the entire purpose, truck looks like a boss
Great channel. I have a 2020 250. Installing leveling kit and method 20x9 -12 offset. Pretty sure I’m going to go with 37” tires. Did you have any major rubbing or trimming. Did you lift the rear?
No sir just the front.
Looks awesome. Very curious as well did you lose ride quality and do you have an idea of what the mpg are at with the added tire size? Thanks
I will be making a video dedicated to ride quality and fuel mpg change! Coming soon. I want to put some actual miles on it and give honest feedback.
Why did you buy a 4wd with chrome on it if you didn’t want either?
Whats the mpg with those tires ???
Benny I will make a video discussing this. The wheels and tires have only been on for a few hundred miles so I plan on resetting the mpg’s and seeing what it’s really at.
moostang09 alright bro thats a badass truck btw
Do spike lug nuts it look sick
Very Nice!
Lets see a video of you trying to put the 37 in the factory spare location. Please
