    I bought this Carli 2.5" leveling kit for my 2017 Ford Super Duty from CJC's online store. This kit is hands down the most robust and best handling kit I have seen. Yes, this isn't the cheapest kit out, but you do get what you pay for! Also, CJC was awesome when I needed some after installation support. Its nice when a shop will spend a few minutes with you even if they didn't do the installation.

    • @CJCOffRoad

    • @CJCOffRoad

    Have been looking at this kit for my f250, thanks for the info. Do you guys have any experience with king's coil overs? If so, why didn't you decide to go with the coil overs if price wasn't an issue?

    • @CJCOffRoad
      @CJCOffRoad  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      The issue with bolt in OEM replacement coil overs is two fold. For one, they are off the shelf shocks, so they don't have the custom tuning for your individual truck that these Carli shocks do, and as a result the ride quality suffers. Second, the bolt in OEM replacement coil overs result in a reduction in travel compared to stock, and far less than a system like this that utilizes the factory spring perch and suspension design to maximize travel.

    My 2020 F350 Platinum Tremor is coming in next month. I've looked at all of the Carli kits and I'm trying to decide how much of an improvement just the basic Carli leveling kit is over stock, Carli backcountry vs. stock, and then backcountry vs. pintop, etc. I dont pull massive traillers very often, and I dont 'live' offroad--both are less common occurances for me. • @ballacii

      Yes but it wouldn't fix the issue with these stock cheap track bars that do not last. The track bar is the most overlooked part on trucks. Plus CJC says the Carli track bar is a lot more tough and quality built. I had to get my track bar replaced at 60k miles because the joints warn out and it was moving a lot. luckily I have warranty. But id definitely do the track bar when the day comes for that lol

      Even the carli commuter system will out ride the Tremor from the factory! You’re fine doing a 35/12.5 or even a 37/13.5. Those fords have a ton of tire clearance in the fenders. As for which system is best, it all depends on how you’ll be using the truck. Just give us a call if you have any questions!

    Would a fifth wheel with a 2500 lb pin weight squat the rear? Would airbags be required to maintain a level stance? Thx

    • @CJCOffRoad
      @CJCOffRoad  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      2500 pounds will be enough to squat a stock suspension truck so if you want to remain level at that weight, bags will be your best bet. Keep in mind you can still retain the factory rear leaf springs with this level if you choose, so your truck will keep the factory towing ability. One of our shop trucks is a 2018 Ford F-250 with the full replacement Carli pack,, and we have zero issues towing a large 5th wheel trailer with it. Despite the improved off-road ability, these trucks with the add a packs or even full rear packs still tow just fine!

    • @CJCOffRoad
      @CJCOffRoad  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's ultimately up to the customer depending on their needs. If regular, heavy towing is part of the plan, then re-gearing is recommended. For most people pulling under 10k though it isn't a huge deal. It also depends on the starting gears of the truck. For example, someone with a 3:42 rear end will notice a far more dramatic change with 37's than someone that starts with factory 4:10 gears.

    Looks like a quality kit . But I don’t understand why people want leveling kits . Trucks come from the factory slightly higher in the back for a reason . With the truck level .. now when you have a load on or a trailer your squatted in the rear.. and at night blinding everyone with your skyward headlights . If you want to lift the truck a couple inches . It should be the same lift in the front as the rear .

    Stuff is so overpriced anymore. it's disgusting. Just bc of a name . Not just this company, either . it's a lot of businesses that jack the price up bc of a name . What does $4500 get you ? I looked at the package, and i didn't have some of the stuff that's listed in the video. Plus, you want to charge anothe 1800 for leaf springs and such . Prices just keep going up as you add things you want .
    I'd think for 4500, you would get everything it takes to do the job . That should be the high-end even . Looks like you get very little .
    Plus, i agree with a few of these comments with the helper springs and such. Why take them or it out ? It doesn't travel that far just by hitting a dip or a pot hole if you are empty...
