I think the S24+ is the best model overall. Coming from the S23 128gb, Samsung's trade in program and their pre order promotions were too good to pass up on. I got the S24+ with the 12 gb ram, 512gb option. I'll miss the S23's compact design however.
As far as value goes, it's definitely the best model. But I just returned mine due to weight and size, and chose to import a Snapdragon S24 from the US at the same price, losing a lot of value overall. Coming from an S10e and the S24+ simply feels huge and heavy.
@@dennisjames9091 Yeah I hear you. I went from the S10e to S23 and I've never used big phones beyond 6.1 inches. The base S24 is what I originally wanted it's still a beast so I'm sure you'll be happy with it. There's always pros and cons but long-term a smaller phone is better for everyday activities. I feel bad for them. If internet went down for good, I’d survive and adapt quite easy.
S24 is actually cheaper if you buy it now. In my country, There's so many deals and bundling. And s23 price is stagnant..maybe because it has SD processor, so sellers think it's valid excuse to sell a year old phones at the same price with current model :(.
Any thoughts on Vivid mode not working? Settings-->Display-->Screen Mode-->Vivid isn't doing anything. It's just Natural (even when vivid is selected), and most people switch from Natural when they get their Samsung phone.
As an S23 owner since preorder last year, I don't see any reason to upgrade to S24. Even if there was 8 gen 3 in eu, the changes are so small that it doesn't make sense. Trade-in program is not nearly as appealing as in other countries, I would have to pay 400 dollars for S24. And I really don't want exynos. Even 8 gen 3 seems a bit more power-hungry than 8 gen 2. The battery life of S23 is amazing.
Serious issues on Samsung S24 with internet connection. No matter if you use wifi, 5G or 4G. After every 5-50 minutes connection is lost. Flight mode on and off will return the connection for a while but this is not how a new phone should work. Also the AI features were draining the battery very rapidly. After switching off all the unnecessary assisting features the battery life got 2-3 times longer.
What this battery test does not test is the browsing over 4/5G. It's tested over wifi, which exynos handles good. The problem is the inefficient Exynos modem over 4/5G, despite a larger battery in the S24 the battery lasts 11% worse than S23! In this test you already get a good indication of this in the "calls" area of the battery test which is measured over 4G, S24=23:26h S23=30:52h. If you don't connect to wifi a lot that's a serious problem.

I used to always get the newest phones when they came out but the contracts got ridiculous so I switched to prepaid and started with a galaxy a53 and honestly for what I use the phone for the galaxy a53 was no different than any of the flagship phones. The flagship phones have more options but those options are really ones I dont use. The a53 has fast charging, battery life is great, it has an excellent camera, it's fairly fast and the best thing about it Is I got the phone for $100 and unlimited talk, text amd data for $50 a month through boost mobile. This year I got the galaxy a54 and the phone is good but I actually liked the a53 a little better. I've been using the lower end phones for a couple years now and have been very happy with them but I just found a Great deal for $60 a month and that includes a new galaxy s24 and and an unlimited plan so I really couldn't pass that up. When I get that phone and use it for a little while I'll really be able to see if I really need a flagship phone. I really hope the speakers are loud because every phone I've had it always seems like the speakers kinda sucked whether it was the cheap phone or the expensive ones. Great review
My dad has either the a53 or 73 and he loves it. Plus since the processor isn't as advanced (which is completely fine for his use) the battery life is better.
Are you kidding me? The iPhone 13 maxes out at 12MP photos, while the S24 does 50MP. Also, the iPhone 13 always makes blue skies look artificially blue (I know, I have one), while the S24 doesn't do this. Finally, the iPhone 13 does not show vivid colors accurately in photos (like the reds in roses), but the S24 looks like it may be among the first smartphones to do reds properly. What exactly are you talking about when you say the S24's camera is disappointing you? I'm planning to buy one unless there's some hidden flaw I'm unaware of.
Everybody likes what they like > I too prefer the cameras on some I phone models in certain situations. Overall I think Samsung gives you the most bang for your buck over any I phone. But it comes down to what users like.
Great review! Would you be willing to do an S24 (regular) vs. iPhone 15 Pro (non-max) camera comparison video? I am going to buy one of these two phones and I would appreciate it so much!
@@petermikus2363 Because of feature parity. The S24 Regular has the same hardware features (120Hz screen, 3X zoom lens, 8GB RAM, etc.) as the iPhone 15 Pro, not the regular iPhone 15, and for a much cheaper price.
It's not. After a while your eyes get used to and it's not enough. That's my only grip with my S23. But well, considering it's not worth to change of phone only for this, I will wait a bit - I don't use IA features at all.
How to get results in the 3DMark WildLife (non-Extreme)? Wherever i run the test on Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 or smth more powerful, I just get «Maxed Out» message🤔🤔
Go into 'my device' on the bottom, scroll to 'performance range' and here you can choose which benchmark score to display (eg Your best score, XXXXX, is better than XX% of results for this model)
LTPO technology allows high refresh rates with better efficiency. However, the differences are not very high but it probably translates in better battery life which is always welcome.
Nah it is. S22 snapdragon or exynos, is very shitty when it comes to battery. for heavy user, s22 battery is just terrible. S23 and s24 are very battery efficient. Battery alone is a big deal of an upgrade

7 years for updates seems great. I do like that they have an option for 256 gigs of storage,as opposed to the S21 having only 128 gigs on hand. I have the s23 and s24. If you have the s23, the s24 isn't worth the upgrade. The only reason i have the s24 is i had another phone to trade in. Here are the areas the s24 is better - brighter more efficient display, louder speakers, better battery life ( 30 minutes to an hour more sot on average ) I'm getting 7 hours sot on cellular data. Flat sides are more comfortable to hold imo. I haven't really tested out the cameras yet. S24 is worse - the display doesn't look as sharp despite ppi being almost the same. I'm seeing a slight purple hue on certain screens. It's hard to replicate the issue. They took the swipe from bottom gestures away 😭
@@masquerade_phantomx9270 yeah that's a good way to still have it. It actually forced me to try the regular gestures and I think I prefer them even more.
@@masquerade_phantomx9270 it took about a week to get in the habit of doing the gestures but I'll like it better because before with the three buttons gestures I would accidentally hit the bottom of the screen.
I've had the s24 for 3 months and I've really had some bad experiences with it. The phone heats up with minimal use and there was a problem with the sound so we went to get it fixed and they said the motherboard was faulty and they had to replace it
I Switched from Samsung A32 to Galaxy S24 (Base variant, Exynoss) for a better phone. Well it is a way better phone but to my shock I am so disappointed by the screen/display of S24. Other than its washed out colors the main thing that's bother me the most is the blurred, unfocused text of the phone. I have changed fonts available in the phone settings but the result is same every time. The text of the phone is not sharp, focused and feels blurry. I still use my Samsung A32 and its text is laser sharp. When i use my S24 after A32 (I still use A32 as my work phone) I feel dizziness. I don't know why no one is discussing this issue? or its just me?? Do let me know if you are facing the same issue.
I'm thinking about buying this phone since my current phone is finally giving out and one of the first things that went out awhile ago was my main mic I use for private calls and I do think it's from me recording concerts so I'm wondering if anyone knows any good and small type of mic equipment I can plug into a phone to use at a show so my new phone mic doesn't break so soon this time around
@@Gurenn83 what about the exynos chipset? I heard it does poorly with performance and battery life. How true is that? Because exynos processor with QHD doesn't cut it. And to make matters worse, there are reviews that show that the exynos variant of S24 plus laggs terribly. That is why I am so indecisive. Because I feel the reason for the battery bump is because exynos needs it more than the S23 plus with the Snapdragon chipset.
Was seriously considering this. But after my previous green line problems on the LED screen on my s10e and s22 after just 2 yrs, I just had enough and switched to an iphone instead
Almost 900€ for an Exynos "flagship" phone... No thank you. My theory is, 7 years of OS support needed to be downed down with a crapy processor. There's now way you'll get a smooth working phone after 3 years of major os updates on an exynos chip.

How did it compare?
My dad has either the a53 or 73 and he loves it. Plus since the processor isn't as advanced (which is completely fine for his use) the battery life is better.
I just upgraded from iphone 13 to s24. The camera is disappointing compared to iphone. Do software updates further improve camera quality?
Why compare the pro with the normal S24
@@petermikus2363 Because of feature parity. The S24 Regular has the same hardware features (120Hz screen, 3X zoom lens, 8GB RAM, etc.) as the iPhone 15 Pro, not the regular iPhone 15, and for a much cheaper price.
EVERYBODY mentions the brighter screens on the s24, but i never heard a SINGLE complaint about the S23 range NOT being bright enough 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
It's not. After a while your eyes get used to and it's not enough. That's my only grip with my S23. But well, considering it's not worth to change of phone only for this, I will wait a bit - I don't use IA features at all.
It's not bright enough. There ya go
What do you mean by range?
@@MegaLoquendo2000 I guess it means the S23 line up - S23, S23+ S23U.
1000 nits under direct sunlight is good enough, and we get those since the S22
How to get results in the 3DMark WildLife (non-Extreme)? Wherever i run the test on Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 or smth more powerful, I just get «Maxed Out» message🤔🤔
That's the same as the new exynos 2400 I can't get a result
Go into 'my device' on the bottom, scroll to 'performance range' and here you can choose which benchmark score to display (eg Your best score, XXXXX, is better than XX% of results
for this model)
Ppl say its not a big jump from the S23.... but im coming from an S20FE 🤓... so you can imagine ! (I wrote this comment with the beautiful S24 🤓)
I'll be coming from the cricket DREAM so this will be mind blowing I'm assuming
@@montanamaxx3824 yes. The screen alone will be magnificent for you
Watching this on my Galaxy S24 ❤
Ditto.
Same here
Review plz. Am planning to buy S24
He is the best ai i have ever seen great job GSMArena
What do you mean ai 🤔
my S23 also adjusts the refresh rate between 24-120hz. what's the improvement here?
23hz. S24 goes down to 1hz
@@thedizzyyak not what it says in the review
@@felipecardel I didn't catch that. Heard 1hz in another review. 🤷♂️
@@thedizzyyak Looks like it's just marketing spec.
LTPO technology allows high refresh rates with better efficiency. However, the differences are not very high but it probably translates in better battery life which is always welcome.
3:43 counter strike map pool lol, i love this map!
You won't regret buying S24 ❤
Especially AI in it makes things more easy and love this Yellow Amber color ✨️
Looks like not a big upgrade from the S22 and I heard the S25 will still use the same cameras :(
True, i upgraded from S22 Ultra to the S24Ultra. I seriously don't feel that different 😶
Nah it is. S22 snapdragon or exynos, is very shitty when it comes to battery. for heavy user, s22 battery is just terrible. S23 and s24 are very battery efficient. Battery alone is a big deal of an upgrade
@@nilskiemle9556 even s23 and s24 has a difference of 7 hours when it comes to video playing. I think it is worth the price if you are hanging out on social media a lot.
What’s more worth it? The 128gb or 256gb?
Is it a fair trade bwt 21 ultra and 24 plus?
yup
Does it support Samsung Dex
Hmmm... The Exynos chipset. Why do i get the feeling that international market option is a shortchange.
What do you think of the more muted display colors in vivid mode?
trash. looks so washed out
Trash. But sammyboy gladly accept it
I baught this phone the base model s24 outright and I absolutely love it
Great analytical video! I thank you very much and I wait on the S24+ video…
Does it heat up while playing games? My S22 heat up like crazy while playing game.
Is it a big upgrade from s9
Definitely yes
It's actually a downgrade. No Micro SD card, no notification LED, no charger included, no headphone jack.
Is it a big upgrade from my samsung Galaxy A71?
Is it better than Oneplus 12?
No.
well what about listinging my music through my headphones. You didn't say anything about that function. How does it sound? and I can connect with Bluetooth right? I need to know about that before I purchase one.
Every phone has Bluetooth, even low budget phones
Love the intro music 🌿🌾
The camera is the main selling point for me. I'm not a professional but I do like documenting my adventures and I've a feeling this is going to make it a lot more enjoyable! Will update when it arrives (and I've been on some adventures)
Make a video comparison between iPhone 15 vs Samsung galaxy S24
7 years for updates seems great. I do like that they have an option for 256 gigs of storage,as opposed to the S21 having only 128 gigs on hand. This is one of the phones that I am looking at purchasing soon. Photos and videos from my S21 are pretty good, but the photos and videos you take using the S24 look pretty good too. The S23 would be a good option too I think.
S24 or Google Pixel 8 Pro or One Plus12? Which one better
OnePlus 12
How about Samsung Dex? Is this S24 compatible with?
ofc
is there s24 basic model with 12gb of ram? Please someone reply
Is that amber yellow?
3:01 could u explain this?
So the 128gb how does it perform against say 256gb S23??
"Exynos might rub some people the wrong way" is putting it mildly. Its like taking sandpaper to your iris.... Thats how much people hate Exynos.Myself included... from personal experience....
For camera I still prefer to Pixel's.
I upgraded from the S20. A significant upgrade in all areas.
really a i want buy too camera battery displej ? i love s20 but..: )
im using an iphone 13 for 3years now and the battery life is horrible, thought of switching to iphone 15, but im skeptical about the battery life, thinking of choosing this, is this a good switch? 🤔
it's a good upgrade for me. I was using iphone 13 before, and sell it to buy the samsung galaxy s24
You can also have your phone's battery replaced
Upgrading from my S8 to this one S24, compact size is everything, I hope images will be as perfect as was on S8, S24+ and S24 U were too big for me, I do not want a brick in my hand, really no. Fingers crossed for this baby, tomorrow it will arrive to me.
I just got this phone. I wonder how good it is??? Is everyone else who hss this phone satisfied?
Im not satisfied especially with the video recording quality. Sometimes it lags and is not smooth even though it has been set to the highest 😢
this will be a great upgrade for my galaxy note 10! gonna get this phone today! 😁❤️
Swipe from bottom can still be used in s24 using goodlock's navstar
@@masquerade_phantomx9270 yeah that's a good way to still have it. It actually forced me to try the regular gestures and I think I prefer them even more.
@@ChadH2023 Ohh is that so i still resist to change from those those old gestures
Should I upgrade??? Still rocking my 4.5 year old Oneplus 7 Pro, and im wondering if its time to let my baby go
Very disappointed by the heat generated by the 256GB model. Uncomfortably warm with regular usage.
Is this Snapdragon or Exynos variant??
he reviewed exynos
S24 or the Pixel 8 Pro?
im using s21 fe now. would want to upgrade to s23 or s24 soon ❤
Same! I just ordered the 24 today! I'm looking forward to it!
Between S23plus and S24 plus, which one is better? Please i need an answer. I need to make a decision.
S24 Plus. You get 200mAH more battery at 4900mAh. It now supports QHD+ resolution. And you get 7 years of OS and security updates.
And 12gb ram
@@Gurenn83 what about the exynos chipset? I heard it does poorly with performance and battery life. How true is that? Because exynos processor with QHD doesn't cut it. And to make matters worse, there are reviews that show that the exynos variant of S24 plus laggs terribly. That is why I am so indecisive. Because I feel the reason for the battery bump is because exynos needs it more than the S23 plus with the Snapdragon chipset.
Ah that video, the rendering app caused that issue.@@wethepeoplegh
Smartphones should always and I mean ALWAYS be matte not glossy, makes so much easier to hold.
Amazing Android....and great smartphone
Thanks for the review❤
Was seriously considering this. But after my previous green line problems on the LED screen on my s10e and s22 after just 2 yrs, I just had enough and switched to an iphone instead
I suppose, Good phone for a camera but how do you make a phone call.
Excellent review. I don't think I should upgrade from my S21. Too many similarities.
bro nice photos in Bulgaria!
Excellent review! 🙌
I have been waiting for this
The plus please
whats that color marble grey or yellow?
Yellow
what about the washed out colors? this is a huge pain point for me and thousands of other people
My S24 screen is similar to the S20.
Almost 900€ for an Exynos "flagship" phone... No thank you. My theory is, 7 years of OS support needed to be downed down with a crapy processor. There's now way you'll get a smooth working phone after 3 years of major os updates on an exynos chip.
