@@InnerFire6213 it depend on where you live since many countries have the Exynos chip which is really bad (compared to the snapdragon version in the us) in thermals, battery life. The performance is similar (debatable). The previous s23 has the same snapdragon chip throughout the world.
@InnerFire6213 It has been proven by many reliable reviewers and testers that the exynos version is quite a bit worse. Even though the difference might not seem a lot initially, in the long run the phone is just going to be frustrating. I was excited when I heard Samsung made the chip better and made the vapor cooling chamber bigger, but the truth is Samsung still sucks at making chips. Now even Google has decided to get chips from tsmc instead of Samsung for their future phone (I think pixel 10). I would not get a Samsung phone with an exynos chip for a premium price. The chipset is not justifying the price even when it is not compared to the snapdragon variant.

The performance may remain the same in "normal tasks" but you may experience throttling in high performance tasks. I would get the previous s23 as it has a good chip throughout the world and it has been regarded as the one of the best phone released last year. There is no major difference except in the chipset, software update and slight design changes. I recommend u to research a bit more and hey, it is your choice 😉
1:40 Bixby actually doesn't have that problem. If you have multiple samsung devices signed into the same account and use voice wake-up, it will only work on the nearest device even if they are like centimeters apart. It's smart

I find it funny how all the issues your wife had with the ZFlip are basically fixed now with the ZFlip6 (better battery, same camera hardware as S24)
I can't go back to iOS anymore. It's just the small productivity features that the Pixel offers add up and I use it a lot: - screen text copy in a swipe - screen translate in a swipe - text selection always gets the full word right (in iOS it's always missing the last characters and i have to fumble with the selection) - share text to chatgpt (iOS app doesn't support this) - hold for me, call screening - the keyboard omg - notification management in one press - etc etc
The keyboard isn't that big of a deal because u can get that third party Microsoft keyboard or just get use to it. And I'm gonna switch to the iPhone 16 pro because it looks good and ios 18 seems nice
@@FranzotmSwiftKey is not better than Gboard tho. And on Pixels you have features with Gboard that you don't have on other phones that can also use Gboard too. So maybe SwiftKey is better than the original keyboard on the iPhone but still SK is nowhere near Gboard.

Awesome video. I've been on iPhone since 2011, currently use 13 mini. I'm trying very hard to switch to Android for many reasons. I just purchased the S24 on Amazon prime day. Got the S24, 250 GB, Snapdragon version for $659. If I wanted the iPhone equivalent, 15 pro, that would cost me $1,099. It's really a shame what Apple did with the iPhone 15. In the States, the iPhone 15 unlocked version is $829. For that you get 60 hz, no AOD, USB 2.0 and the previous years chip and not enough RAM for Apple intelligence. Samsung doesn't do that to its customers. Not a hater, I love both OS's.
Completely agree It has never been worth it to get the base model iPhones. It's almost always better to get the previous year's pro model or just not to get an iphone. Getting the s24 instead is definitely better.
Samsung sells their flagship phones with lesser processor outside the US so I'm sticking to my iphone 11 from 2020 until it insists to retire 😅 (I also love both OS and was an android fan for years back when their phones had removable batteries)

I think calling the phone boring is actually a good way to put it(as long as it's not in a bad way), but because it's boring is what makes me love the phone. Its such an amazing all-rounder, and compact aswell. I love how you give actual real world scenarios not the random stuff that TH-camrs say to get views and interactions because some of the stuff that TH-camrs actually complain about isn't actually a problem, its more like the stuff that you'd notice on the first week of use on a new if you're coming from an older phone or from another brand.

I agree with your wife. If Instagram were to be much better optimised, a bunch of people would instantly buy a Galaxy. Thing is, unless Samsung makes a partnership with Meta, it’s going to be very expensive to maintain in the long run. Sure, Apple has that “problem”, too, but Meta gets enough revenue from iPhones to justify it. I do love the S24, though. good news is that Samsung has began collaboration with Meta to optimize certain aspects of Instagram for their foldable phones. I believe it'll become more optimized as time goes on
On Android it's best you take the picture using the native camera app then uploaded it to instagram. The instagram camera app stinks on Android because it serves everyone from the low to the high end.
I didn’t feel like watching the video because I no longer enjoy Samsung like I used to. I use an iPhone as my main phone and prefer using a pixel or Oneplus as a secondary device but I know Samuel’s videos are fun so I still clicked to watch😂

13 mini was discontinued months before S24 launch - you didn’t mean 13 standard (not the mini) did you? I’m 14 and yesterday my parents upgraded our phones from the Pixel 6a. I chose the S24 and he chose an iPhone 15
I can vouch for myself. I went for iPhone because my friends had it but the second reason was due to the gap in performance that Samsung had with iPhone (wayyy back when they used to lag badd). I’m planning to go back to Samsung since they’re closing that gap and priorities changed now. Budget budget budget 😂😂😂
I went to a mall earlier and wanted to check out the new Fold 6. It was nice to hold and much better feel than the Fold 5. I asked the store if they have the Flip 6 and boi it was so shocking! It was just beside the Fold 6. I didn't notice that it was a Flip because the crease wasn't really noticeable. I really am impressed with Samsung. Just like what you said, if android in general fixes app support, I think more people will switch to android.
This is the review I was waiting for! Yeah I think people sleep on the S24 for real. When they say "small phones are dead" I guess it depends on your size preference, but the base and pro iPhones, base Galaxy S and base (soon to be pro on 9) Pixels are all solid phones at a smaller size. I honestly almost forget about the flip as a "small" alternative but you can definitely see it that way. Boring is boring yes, but in this case boring is also good!

I had the s24+ and traded it in for the zflip6 I have no regrets. They made so many improvements. It feels better, the speaker and mic sound much better too. Such a fun and practical phone.

I'm rocking the s23+ for the past year. Honestly prefer the size to the ultra. But Honestly I might even go down smaller. Most my usage is podcasts, audio books, capturing voice memos, quick task list capturing, or quick notes. I don't use social media.
The S24 is great but as someone who can only afford budget phones I'm planning to move back to iPhone after 4 years on android because I want great cameras. The only caveat is that I'll have to get a used iPhone 12 or 13 because even that will be a financial stretch
Someone in my family recently got the new CMF phone one and as an iPhone user I am a bit in love about how fluid the screen looks because of the 120Hz. Though the software experience is a hell to me. I don't think I'd switch, but I'd like to see a phone that actually has the same UX quality and consistency (arguably, of course) as iPhone. Back when I went from the Nexus 6 to iPhone SE (yeah, the size difference is funny), I noticed how much better the iPhone felt during use. Having tired out the CMF phone one, I can definitely tell I prefer iPhone. I'd be interested to see how your wife, or you maybe, would feel when using an actually cheap phone like the CMF phone one. Even in comparison to iPhone. It's just insane what package Nothing delivered with the phone.
The camera comparison was actually very smart, it removes the brand bias for sure and it was fun, iphone comeback was unexpected hahaah but consecutive s24 pick was also funny 😂. Iwould also like to do that and see if i too have bias on the brand. Im rocking an S23 btw.
nice! I have both the mini13 and the s24... the s24 is collecting dust. I thought I might be able to make the switch but even after a day I was wanting my sleek mini13 back in my pocket. Now with IOS 18(beta) it feels more like an android with the customizable home screen and other things. It would be so nice to get a mini with a 90hz screen and a usb c .
This video really helped a lot in my decision of choosing this S24 phone. I actually want the flip 6 at first, but I am not very confident that I can take a good care of it and break it sooner than my other phones. But S24 satisfied most of my needs already and it costs less than flip 6.

I've owned almost all of the flagships this year. I daily drive the Galaxy S24 by choice. It's such a good all rounder.

I'm rocking the s23+ for the past year. Honestly prefer the size to the ultra. But Honestly I might even go down smaller. Most my usage is podcasts, audio books, capturing voice memos, quick task list capturing, or quick notes. I don't use social media.

The S24 is great but as someone who can only afford budget phones I'm planning to move back to iPhone after 4 years on android because I want great cameras.
The only caveat is that I'll have to get a used iPhone 12 or 13 because even that will be a financial stretch

Someone in my family recently got the new CMF phone one and as an iPhone user I am a bit in love about how fluid the screen looks because of the 120Hz. Though the software experience is a hell to me. I don't think I'd switch, but I'd like to see a phone that actually has the same UX quality and consistency (arguably, of course) as iPhone. Back when I went from the Nexus 6 to iPhone SE (yeah, the size difference is funny), I noticed how much better the iPhone felt during use. Having tired out the CMF phone one, I can definitely tell I prefer iPhone. I'd be interested to see how your wife, or you maybe, would feel when using an actually cheap phone like the CMF phone one. Even in comparison to iPhone. It's just insane what package Nothing delivered with the phone.

nice! I have both the mini13 and the s24... the s24 is collecting dust. I thought I might be able to make the switch but even after a day I was wanting my sleek mini13 back in my pocket. Now with IOS 18(beta) it feels more like an android with the customizable home screen and other things. It would be so nice to get a mini with a 90hz screen and a usb c .

This video really helped a lot in my decision of choosing this S24 phone. I actually want the flip 6 at first, but I am not very confident that I can take a good care of it and break it sooner than my other phones. But S24 satisfied most of my needs already and it costs less than flip 6.
