  • Making 3D-printed signs with Fusion 360 is pretty easy to do, but I think most people can make a few small changes to drastically improve the way their signs turn out. In this video, I take you step-by-step through my approach to making high-quality, professional signs.

I realize this is an older video, but just a tip… please expand the tree on the left from the beginning so it is possible to see when the sketch becomes fully constrained. :-) I ran into issues and had to rewatch a number of times trying to figure out where I made a mistake, as my sketch did not become fully constrained / locked.

Very nice tutorial, have my like, subscription, and comment for all the youtube shenanigans ;)
The takeaway for me was the dimension cross reference - that will come in handy.
One thing I would add is a sacrificial layer to avoid printing in mid air for the screwholes. Just a small 0.2 mm extrude between the smaller and larger screw hole. It prints nicer and is easy to poke through with a screw :)

Thank you! Haha yeah I agree the sacrificial layer would work - my point was that I think a lot of people are afraid to print face down with overhangs without supports so I just wanted to demonstrate that it turns out better than you might expect. On that note, you’ll definitely be interested in the next video! Thanks for the sub!

you could use construction lines on each side of the text to get your measurement..

Nice tutorial. BTW How did you create the short cut signage on you work space in Fusion?

He's talking about the display of the shorcut keys on your Fusion workspace so you can remember them. Cheers.

I'd prefer if it's all flat, how can this be done? Using bodies for the different elements
