Thank you for being here for a rare sick day video! The goal of these drinks was to serve a few different functions: The wellness drink, the mocktail, the everyday. Drop your suggested names in the comments and I’ll pick my favorites and credit you when I get these uploaded on my site for longevity!
Can I just say how much I appreciate that you featured herbal, caffeine-free beverages? I've missed tea ever since becoming caffeine intolerant back in 2017 and I expected all of these to feature black and green tea, but I was so pleasantly surprised to see two lovely herbals with flavor profiles right up my alley. I feel seen! And I'm thrilled to be introduced to a new tea brand.
There are some good fruit based tea from Korea that taste great with no caffeine. One is a green plum honey tea and one is 유자차 which is a citrus tea with honey. You can have them with cold or hot water. Or mix them with other drinks too.
My name ideas are: 1.) The Cure 2.) Earthly Ties (or Earthy Thais if you like puns 😂) 3.) Kyoto Cottage Core lol I’ve been making pistachio milk matcha lattes lately. So good 🤤 Definitely a nice pair to combine nut milks and the nuttier profiled matchas 💚
@@unknownentity222 Pretty sure it's aliens. She's been abducted to teach them how to make decent coffee in person. The AI they left behind to cover their tracks has glitched and thinks it can talk about _tea_ (!) and not get rumbled!! ;)
I love tea because with coffee, I have to buy the beans but for my tea I actually grow everything myself. It gives it an extra special feeling and it just extends my hobby to even more hours of the day 😃
@@sebitealeaf5207 it depends a lot on your region. I live in Germany (zone 8, I believe) and it works pretty well. I insulate it in the winter and make sure it had plenty of shade. I have a variety that has less flowers and more foliage and it is really easy to care for, just make sure it stands near a wall and is shielded from sun and wind. Also don't use too hard of a water for it. Don't keep it wet during winter and try to not move it too often, it doesn't like change.
Speaking as a chemist, please transfer your other liquid (solvent) ingredients to the shaker via the honey (viscous ingredient) beaker, to dissolve and be able to transfer the remainder so you get an accurate recipe! I could almost hear you thinking, "There has to be a better way to do this..." while trying to shovel all the honey in with a spoon. 😄
Omg, yes! If I had to chose between tea or coffee, I'd definitely chose tea. But I still watch your videos, because learning about coffee is interesting and your videos have a feel-good effect on me. So a tea episode is just perfect, especially now that the weather gets colder again!
I grew up in the South in the 80s and 90s, and a popular homemade gift was a tea drink mix called Russian Tea. It’s a mix of instant black tea powder, Tang orange drink mix, lemonade powder, ground cinnamon, ground clove, and sugar if the lemonade mix doesn’t have sugar. This drink was a must when you were under the weather. As I got older and got more into tea and cut back on sugar I started making it with brewed black tea, orange juice, lemon juice, cinnamon, and clove. It’s so warming and delicious. Then I became allergic to oranges but not lemons or limes. So now I make it with more lemon juice and also add pineapple juice for more tang and vitamin C. It’s different but still very good. You can also use the sweetener of your choice and use other teas like green tea. Sometimes I use Vahdam black tea with cinnamon because powdered cinnamon doesn’t want to mix into liquids well.
Last week I had a tea based old fashioned: Instead of Whisky I had a Lapsong Souchong, that is a smoked black tea, I brewed it Gong fu style and used later infusions, so that it has very little caffeine. Instead of Sugar I used a coffee flower honey, which is delicious. And obviously cocktail bitters. It was delicious.
I’m one of those viewers that doesn’t like coffee but still enjoys this channel, so I’m very glad to see some tea recipes! There’s just something nice about spending time to make a nice drink for yourself, and I find making tea such a cozy process.
I call my version of the Medicine ball a Mando's Delight since its delightful hot or iced (because "I can bring you in warm or I can bring you in cold")--mando was my comfort show when I first started making a dupe😂 Cant wait to try your version
Names, for fun: 1) Morgan's Prescription Tea 😂 2) Lemongrass Partea 🎉 3) Konpeito Tea 🍵 Fancy name suggestions: 1) Soothing Fall's Embrace 🍂 2) Sunny Garden Refresher ☀ 3) Candy Blossom Matcha Latte 🌸 Get well soon!! Those drinks are making me so thirsty now...
1) "Mint Todd" (because you compared it to a hot toddy) 2) "Garden Party" or "Summer's End" 3) "Matcha Made in Heaven" (because the matcha and orgeat are a "match made in heaven") :P
My late night herbal tea has been camomile and rooibos with honey recently. So comforting. I've found yerba mate with lime and brown sugar is a good afternoon pick-me-up. It has a surprising peach note, so I've been considering trying to juice some peaches to see if that would take it to the next level.
Hello there! (General Morgan) Lemongrass and Thai basil and grapefruit are three of my favourite ingredients! May I submit the name Bangkok Breeze for cheeky consideration? 😅
I have been looking into building myself a tea corner. like how people are really into coffee, I want to do the same for tea. I am lucky to have tea shops near my home, and they always smell so good and tempting! thank you for this video!
Naming the last one is simple! The Orgeatcha :) The nice thing about matcha is that it doesn't need to steep, so when you're looking for a cold one you can just chuck it with water and syrup in the blender and Bob's your uncle. Works best in one of those $15 small blenders unless you're serving multiple.
I am obsessed with all things almond and recently decided to use almond in my matcha latte instead of vanilla and omg. So good! Love seeing someone else do it also!
My totally made up story is that Morgan was working on this video, got sick (feel better soon!) and had to reach back out to the company last min 'so, I know that I had tea for the video... but I drank it all already..." I'm not much for naming things, but that Matcha looks amazing! :O
I don't know why but the Almond Matcha reminded me of something I saw at a coffee shop today called Banana Bread Matcha latte. I have no idea how they make it but I saw a sign for it lol.
Drink Idea Names: 1. The Sweater Weather 2. The Tea Thai-m (pronounced like Tea Time) 3. the Silver Lake (seems like a drink that cool LA around me would drink)
I have an idea for the 2nd tea, "Overgrown Lemongrass Lawn": I have an image in my head of a grass lawn (because it's a lemonGRASS) that hasn't been mowed for some time and patches of basil started growing on it too.
There's something going around the Portland area, this past week. My whole family has been coughing and sniffling, too. I'm not really a tea person, but I may actually give these teas a try and see if it helps.
I’m in the opposite camp from your intended audience today- I drink coffee often and don’t usually tea aside from genmai. I do like ginger drinks though so I might keep that first one in the back pocket for a cold day
I’d love to know more about making tea concentrates. I feel like when I make them at home, they are never as robust and deeply flavored as, for example, the Starbucks iced teas.
maybe try adding more tea and increasing steeping time? Usually herbal teas (like ginger, lemongrass, mint, etc) takes longer to steep. Also black teas take longer to steep vs. green teas :)
Hope you feel better soon. I discovered... well in coffee shop they were offering blue matcha and I looked it up and it really makes interesting drink, usually. mixed with other teas or drinks, by itself it is nothing special tbh. but it gives really interesting color
@@radzbites Yes, they mix that with other stuff but this is what gives it signature blue color. I make it with matcha and have to add honey to improve taste. But it looks really crazy.
I have no doubt that these taste great but also when I clicked on a video titled "three tea drinks" I wasn't expecting two of the three drinks to not have any tea in them...
Hi! Thanks for this comforting video, and others! ❤️ I’m a Sherlock Holmes fan and as soon as you said “basil” my brain answered “Rathbone” (as in the actor Basil Rathbone), so my name suggestion for the second drink is therefore “Rathbone” or maybe “The Rathbone” 🤓😎 I looked up (one of) the (supposed) origins of the name and thought it was suiting. For example: “the name Rathbone could suggest someone who provides wise counsel or advice […] It may also have connotations of protection or support.” And Sherlock is a man of tea. And I want to add a hundred other different associations to the drink but I think that’s enough AuDHD for now. 🥳
Quote (in its entirety) from random site: Rathbone The surname Rathbone is of English origin and is derived from a place name. It comes from the Old English words "raeth" meaning counsel, advice, and "ban" meaning bone. Put together, Rathbone is believed to refer to a dwelling near a place of council or assembly. In terms of meaning, the name Rathbone could suggest someone who provides wise counsel or advice, or perhaps someone associated with leadership or decision-making. It may also have connotations of protection or support, as bones are often symbolic of strength and structure.)

first one. Dr. first one; Todd; second: Lemon ¨spirit¨ (if you want to spike it) bomb for the second one) can you make Matcha in your magic bullet? Matcha bullet! (iḿ struggling with the last one)

The existence of the MorganSpillsCoffee and now MorganDrinksTea channel variants implies that somewhere out there is a MorganSpillsTea

+1 for all of these
I love "When Life Gives You Lemongrass" 😂👍
@MissSnuffles117 the best part is that the end of the quote is also just the name again.
I love tea because with coffee, I have to buy the beans but for my tea I actually grow everything myself. It gives it an extra special feeling and it just extends my hobby to even more hours of the day 😃
How do you care for a tea plant? I'd love to try having one someday but it seems intimidating
