    I just watched you having trouble getting the the upper 14mm wrench bolt off. the simpler way was to take the 2 Allen bolts out first and remove the plastic housing before using flat end wrench to remove the 14mm wrench bolt, second thing: you can get the special 12point tool, but you don't have to. I used the 7mm Allen wrench and it worked great. Thanks for the video I was able to get my brakes in 2 hours thanks to you. I never done the electric brakes so that was helpful.

    There is a brake service mode built into the car. It retracts the motor for you so you don't need to waste you time.

    I wouldn't remove the Piston EPB motor. There is a gasket that once the motor is being removed the gasket needs to be replaced.

    • @RBTheMechanic
      @RBTheMechanic  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Nope if u do it correct it will be fine

    • @MultiInKIEto

      @@RBTheMechanic wrong read Toyota Manufacturer and clear it states that gasket needs to be replaced if motor is malfunctioning.
      Also any DYI do not proceed doing this method may or may not work correctly. There is a chance to have a warning brake malfunction on the dashboard after doing this method.

    How do you know which pad is the inner pad and which is the outer?

    • @RBTheMechanic
      @RBTheMechanic  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If u follow the video u will know inner pad has brake wear sensor also u can match it with old pads

      @johnishk ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@RBTheMechanic The brakes I ordered don’t have the wear sensor, they’re just bare brakes. I can see if the old ones are marked when I do the change but someone recently told me the purple ones are the inboard pads.
