Easy way to get the rotor off without beating it with hammer, use a 14mm bolt and put it in the hole near the 5 lug bolts and tighten with (cordless drill /socket) or use a ratchet…..it’ll come right off💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
Hey quick question, I just did my front brakes on my NX300, but noticed, did you maybe forget the upper spring/retaining clip on the upper side of the brake pads? I initially installed mine in backwards on the driver's because when I was prying the pads off, they fell and hit the floor and the spings flew off of them so I could not see and compare how they were meant to be installed, and naturally the spring clips on my new pads also differed in appearance as well. Not nitpicking, just curious.
There’s a way to do it without the scan tool, all you need is a 2 inch wire. Look up the video on how to do it, it’s super easy. Just got done doing all brakes and rotors on my NX
You can use the old brake pad, and a “C”clamp to retract the caliper piston too……if you don’t have a special tool.
Thanks! I needed a refresher course.
No problem! Glad to help!

This stripped my caliper 14 mm bolt and I had to go buy a new bolt. Don't do this.
@ don’t use the one that goes on your caliper….use an extra bolt🥵
@@Michael-ot7tz I wish that was added in the comment lol

How did you decide which rotor/pad kit to buy from Rock Auto. Why did you pick the Powerstop vs. some of the other brands?
I chose the kits with the heart because they are most often bought. For brakes I tend to stay with Powerstop or Ray Bestos
Do you have to open the break fluid cap to squeeze the break to install the new ones?
No you do not
When you speed-up the video I slowed it down, looks like you didn't put the wear indicator clip onto the new brake pad !!
Take the power brake fluid cap off before you compress the brake caliper when you are almost done…….👍🏻
Did you use any anti-seize on the bolts?
Nice video. Thank you
where did you get the too for the caliper pistons to retract them?
You can buy them at any parts store, but i prefer the lisle one that you can buy off amazon
Did you replace the rubber boots on the sliding pins?
The kit we ordered did not come with new boots. However we did grease the sliding pins and inspected the boots for any catastrophic damage.
Is it the same process for rear brakes?
rear brakes have an electronic parking brake which will need to be reset with a bidirectional scan tool

@@carlosa2540 Can you pls share the video?
Where did u buy the parts from?
rock auto
perfect🌸🌸
dont u have to bleed the brake
Only if you open up the system. In this method you do not have to
