I agree. This Toyota V6, for what it is, is awesome. Simple yet gets the job done and does it exceptionally well. I don't have the special exhaust but I find myself easily going 80-85 on the highway without skipping a beat. I love passing other cars or merging onto an on-ramp. I actually out-accelerated an FR-S at a light once (wasn't intentional. I was just moving along. Haha.) I too hated the 4 cylinder. Sounded and felt like the engine was laboring. I mean, it was adequate I guess but come on. V6 all the way for me. The V6 and the transmission are so smooth. I bought an XSE V6 at the beginning of this year. It's too bad Toyota decided to cease making the RAV-4 with the V6. As you stated, this is not a sports sedan. I didn't buy it because of that either. But the comfort and touch points make driving comfortable, not to mention the sound of the V6 when accelerating is so sweet. My last car was a Camry (2004 SE with the 3.3L V6) but this XSE obviously makes that car chum. There will be always be Honda, Hyundai, Mazda, Ford, and Nissan enthusiasts. Each car has their own strength/advantage and that's totally fine. I just wish people would really give the Camry a second glance/chance before they immediately criticize/flame it.
Proper I love them both! I really love mine lol with the borla. The new V6 is amazing but the new trans they put behind it is awfully geared:/ it’s got 8 gears but they geared it like a 4 speed so you can’t take good advantage of the new engines superior performance:(
$34k for a 2017 Camry XSE V6 could be missing an Option Package such as Driver's Assist, Cold Weather, and Navigation Upgrade. I've noticed no Panoramic Sunroof. Interestingly, an online search for the 2017 Camry XSE V6 shows the MSRP is $31,370 and the same price for XLE V6. Toyota in 6 years boosts the MSRP to $36,645 which is up $5,275 or $879 more each year from 2017 to 2023. In 2023, a Fully Loaded Camry XSE V6 is nearly $41K with the 2-Tone Supersonic Red/Midnight Black which cost an extra $500 since Supersonic Red is considered a Special Color, then we have the extra expense of a Panoramic Roof. At $34K you could easily afford to get the TRD here in 2023. The cost of new gadgets installed into the 8th Generation Camry just inflated. Toyota could have increased the cost margin to $400 each year keeping the Camry on an affordable scale. Instead, they inflated it for more profit. Personally, as I own a 2023 Camry XSE V6 fully loaded, I feel Toyota cheated me and everyone else as the real worth of a fully loaded XSE V6 should be $37k. It does not drive or perform like a $40K mid-size sedan. The former Avalon and the renewed named Crown are both terrible vehicles in which to be avoided at all costs. The changes to the RAV4 have made it worst in 2023. Just saying, Toyota's engineering, design, and quality have significantly dwindled. Honda has taken the same path as Toyota all downhill. The most dangerous and unsafe vehicles in the world are made by KIA other words, Killed In Action, your death trap autos. Think about FORD gets you an F'd Over Rebuilt Dodge. I suppose the way to go is with an Audi or Mazda.
Agreed, I have the 2020 Toyota Camry xse silver with black roof and red interior and to me I feel the older Toyotas we’re better quality in some aspects my sister owned three Toyota Camrys and every 5 years she would get another Camry which is what made me buy one and her 2017 had better quality even the rugs are better . My rugs are like not even real rugs it’s like some lint ball material almost reminds me of the material that they wrap a speaker with like very poor quality and I’m not a fan of the 8 speed transmission either . I love the look of the Camry but overall I do think they cut many corners.
Nice, but I have seen other reviews on same car but exhaust did not seem like Borla are those factory or did you have those installed? Which Borla exhaust is it?
KingGene I had these installed. It’s just the axle back but I’m thinking about making it the full cat back. The current set up is borla part number 11916
Newyork90 yeah man you can't go wrong with either or. Both great cars and acceleration is super similar. Just about grip both suffer from available traction. Let me know what you end up getting!
The 2.0L (4 cyl) Turbocharged Honda Accord Touring 2018 is quicker than this (2017 Camry XSE V6), the 2017 Honda Accord Touring 3.5L V6, and the 2018 Camry XSE V6 with 301hp. It is lighter, has more torque, turbocharged, and better gas mileage. The design is subjective and I'm not really impressed by its new design, though.
µshot_singer I haven’t seen any objective data that it’s quicker than the 2017 or 2018 Camry. The 2017 Camry V6 is a sub 6 second 0-60. I did see it run better than the V6 accord however the V6 accord is about 200-300 ibs heavier than the 2017 Camry. The 2018 Camry will definitely out run it with 50 more hp
µshot_singer Also compared to the 2018 Camry it’s got a measly 5 ibs-ft more torque and a 50 hp deficit. The new Camry should be able to out run it no problem.
The 2018 Accord is HIDEOUS.. I'm an EX ACCORD Driver and can say that.. Honda makes ugly cars now. the 2018 Camry XSE V6 is SEXY!!!!! Those Blood RED leather seats Close the deal! Plus Toyota is MMORE RELIABLE than a hissing turbo i4 Accord. PERIOD!

268hp is beastly for that beautiful xse woow..
Frs are retarded and over rated, slower than fuck, only 200 hp
Dominic Farace brz/frs/86 just for looks and modifications. other than that it comes stock with a 4 cylinder engine
I love the V6 in this car!! Its much better than the new one

@@nateonfireball :( such a wasted potential, I get it try saying gas money but what's the point of saving gas if you can't enjoy the v6
0-60 time?
The newer 3.5L V6 "2GR-FKS" engine from 2021 to 2023 has fewer engine problems and no more worries about the Water Pump failure.

Did yours ever have any issues with creaking or any noises in the roof area more specifically near the moon roof?
I had the same problem especially when going over uneven surfaces. Check your warranty and take it to the dealer to get fixed
Yes on the freeway is rattles non stop
Great review!
Thanks I appreciate it. Been working on balancing video duration with thoroughness.
Nice car ! How hold up ? The borla came from factory ? Sound good ! I thinking buy Camry TRD

Yo brother for some reason my remote won’t start my Camry and I dont even know it had that feature until I saw your video... any guesses why?
Currently in the process of buying one and that thing moves, I think this and the 17 Accord by is about the same when it comes to accelration
Newyork90 yeah man you can't go wrong with either or. Both great cars and acceleration is super similar. Just about grip both suffer from available traction. Let me know what you end up getting!
Nathan Wilson will do
What about the 2015 xse v6 dose it have the remote start or not
Othman noor it should yes
I mean it comes with it form the factory or not
Is a 2017 Toyota Camry 6 speed with 75,000 miles for 13,000 worth buying?
thats not too bad. see what the blue book value is.
Is the exhaust stock or aftermarket?
The exhaust is Aftermarket. Made by Borla
Nice and awesome video. I have the same car. Want to get your tires as well.
Wait that exhaust is stock?
Raafid K my exhaust isn’t stock. It’s got borla axle backs
Car Authority Ohh ok lol, I was like why does it sound so good? 😂
Raafid K haha yeah I like how it sounds too! The car is dead silent stock. Even with the exhaust just idling is very quiet!
Car Authority Is yours louder at lower rpms when you rev and quieter on the higher rpms? Thats what my Avalon does
Lmao this dude says "Ummm" and "Uhhh" about 1000 times..What a terrible habit lol.
Lol
It comes direct injection just fyi
efjiongco the new one yes
The 2018 does but not 17’
2018 has 301hp!
info good but video could be better..
Glenn Davis I agree:/ I need to get a hero 7 when my channel picks up

There is videos demonstrating these two cars. The 2.0t wins ogf the line every time. From a 20mph roll gets smoked every single time lol
good luck keeping up with the maitance on thise honda turbos. be prepared for alotta carbon buildup
