So I have a question, when you go to a brand new WiFi area/house do you need to connect the PS4 with an HDMI to a TV first and connect to the WiFi or if you have the remote play downloaded can you connect to the WiFi using the laptop?

I got the remote play to work perfectly yesterday and now every time i try to connect my controller close itself off. I can see the ps4 menu in remote play but when i press the ps button to turn on my controller, i get logged off auto. So i log in again then i get a lost connection message. I tried everything in the ps4 options like making sure that: auto log on is turned on, that remote play is activated. I even uninstalled and erase the remote app and the saved date in appdata folder but still cannot get it to connect again. Any idea on how to fix this?

ok to anyone seeing this and having a problem like aryaman singh has i have found a solution, so if you look around the web you will see some solutions that work but are mildly annoying such as making another account and putting that as primary and then logging in on your actual main account, basically the reason or atleast for me that my playstation could remote play with other accounts besides my own is because What is happening is that when you press the PS button, the controller is connecting to the Playstation directly, which will disconnect your remote play session if it's connecting with the same account on both. so theres option 2, grab a wire which does not seem like it works but the good/bad news is i got it to work! you just gotta find the right wire that will connect to your computer correctly (example, your computer makes the windows noise once the remote plugs in) so as stupid as it is and as bad as sony executed remote play, the best way to do it is buy a long usb cable and if your computer makes a noise or well you see it work then thats it! sorry if this was a confusing explanation but i just spent 2 hours working this out and hope this could help someone out too.

For better video quality. Make another account and sign into remote play from a second account. Use your second controller to switch account and sign into your regular account... the quality still isnt what I expected. I may have to get an elgato capture card

gamer youssef t check your internet speeds you need at least 2mbs of internet and even then you might want a higher speed because I have mine is on 2mbs and during fast motions it stops and then comes back 😭

Unless you have a gaming laptop equipped with an HDMI in port you most likely will need a monitor or some kind of adapter. Most laptops just have HDMI our. Good luck on your search!

When you log on to the ps4 first log on to a different/guest account and then when you connect your controller and it asks you to log in, use your main account and it will work perfectly. The reason it doesn't work if you try log in on the same account is because you are basically trying to use 2 controllers (phone/laptop being one of them). I hope this works for you.

Can't with HDMI as unless your laptop has an HDMI in port which most don't. They have HDMI out ports. I don't know about the enhance never saw anything on that.

have a fix for it, just follow these steps:- It may sound complicated but it"s not:) 1 go to the sign in screen 2 right click immediately and press on properties 3 copy the entire address url 4 go to google chrome and paste it 5 you will be brought to a sign in screen, so sign in 6 After signing in you will be brought to a screen which says redirect on the top left corner 7 copy the link of that redirect page 8 go to the sign in screen and press ctrl+l to open up a open window 9 copy the link in the box and you're set to go
Hey guys need help with this. I connected my Mac book pro to remote play no problems. And my dualshock 4 to the Mac via bluetooth no issues. However; the remote play app does not pick up the dualshock for some reason and only the keyboard works with it. I have tried USB as well -- I only have USB Type C on my mac so had to use a connector of course. No idea what I am doing wrong; please help. Thanks
It could be the connector. Sony sells its Bluetooth dongle for wireless play with the controller and PC. You could try that but it would cost you money.
So i don't know if anyone else had this issue, i've been playing it recently working like a charm the 1st time i used it. The 2nd time, i couldn't connect to it. It would say "Connecting to PS4" , i left it for about 1 hour and still says connecting. Does anyone have a solution?

Ok I fixed it, the controller HAS to me connected via USB to the computer or else signal is lost. BUT now everytime I connect the PS4 controller to the computer I lose sound/audio for the PS4?

Yeah all disk games work. I play only disk games for the most part and it works fine.

The wireless dualshock 4 adaptor is pretty expensive. Does a Skywin Wireless Controller Adapter? It says it works with all controllers

It sure to be honest. Check the PS4 remote play troubleshooting on Google, see if others have that issue. Could be so many things.

My volume isnt working. When I plug up the remote the sound cuts off. I can hear it when it's not plugged up
You probably need to change your sound output on the laptop from ps4 headset to laptop speaker.

Unfortunately this does not seem to work with windows 10, it seems the program for ps remote play cannot be run, the only solution I've found is restoring an earlier version which is just stupid, hopefully Microsoft fixes this problem.
i have 2 questions, i have a ps4 pro and my laptop is really bad at handling graphics but will my games still be ps4 pro enhanced? and also how to do this with hdmi?
Can't with HDMI as unless your laptop has an HDMI in port which most don't. They have HDMI out ports. I don't know about the enhance never saw anything on that.

Usually they are HDMI our ports which don't work. Unless you have an expensive gaming laptop with HDMI in ports it won't.
I don't know if you can help but i tried this but i was always get The connection to the server timed out message I tried it in low and reinstall it and still the same message
You would have to search online could be so many things. This process is hot and miss sometimes.
If i turn off the computer, the ps4 and the internet and cut them all back on, assuming the internet will automatically connect back to the PC and the console, will remote play still be connected?

Thanks, as for that error my best suggestion is to enter it in on google and see if someone has solved it. I'm honestly not sure what that one is.
have a fix for it, just follow these steps:-
It may sound complicated but it"s not:)
1 go to the sign in screen
2 right click immediately and press on properties
3 copy the entire address url
4 go to google chrome and paste it
5 you will be brought to a sign in screen, so sign in
6 After signing in you will be brought to a screen which says redirect on the top left corner
7 copy the link of that redirect page
8 go to the sign in screen and press ctrl+l to open up a open window
9 copy the link in the box and you're set to go

If you want to use the controller with Bluetooth you need to buy an adaptor. You will need to get a USBC adaptor then also the Bluetooth adaptor.

tricey Only if you change the software to either Windows or Mac. Chrome OS is unsupported.
tricey you can run linux on that, then install windows through linux but it’ll take quite a bit and is a lot of steps
Hey guys need help with this. I connected my Mac book pro to remote play no problems. And my dualshock 4 to the Mac via bluetooth no issues.
However; the remote play app does not pick up the dualshock for some reason and only the keyboard works with it.
I have tried USB as well -- I only have USB Type C on my mac so had to use a connector of course.
No idea what I am doing wrong; please help. Thanks
It could be the connector. Sony sells its Bluetooth dongle for wireless play with the controller and PC. You could try that but it would cost you money.

So i don't know if anyone else had this issue, i've been playing it recently working like a charm the 1st time i used it. The 2nd time, i couldn't connect to it. It would say "Connecting to PS4" , i left it for about 1 hour and still says connecting.

Ok I fixed it, the controller HAS to me connected via USB to the computer or else signal is lost. BUT now everytime I connect the PS4 controller to the computer I lose sound/audio for the PS4?
You might have to change the audio settings in your computer. They might be defaulting to the controller.

Yeah the setup you need the TV then after it should work without it.
