After 2 years with my ps4, I actually didn't knew that I could connect my ps4 controller wirelessly to my pc! Thanks man!

my controller connects to bluetooth fine, but when it comes to big picture mode, it either connects to steam but is slow, very buggy, and disconnects very often or it won't connect at all. Any ideas?

I recently started using Controlers for PC games that are good with controlers (Enter the Gungeon for example) and its super fun, though the Steam controler has only one joystick so i had to get a joystick for the track pad and it does not feel that great still.
I just think the PS4 controler looks nice, Even though i dont really play Playstation anymore (I only own a PS2 that i think is broken, I never used it so)
@Legendary super Saiyan Broly The computer is probably trying to use the controller as the audio output, go to sound in the control panel and select your headset, then click "set default" and that should fix it

I'm using a regular 2.0 BT to connect my PS4 controller, since my PC doesn't have an in-built BT system.

Thank you so much :) Now I don’t have to use the usb charger to play on my laptop lol. I followed the steps and it worked. Hold down the PlayStation icon and the Share button for a few seconds (there shouldn’t be any lights blinking on your controller once you hold down the buttons, just wait a few seconds and then you’ll get the rapid blinking lights on your controller)

@@phokingtao i would really recommend downloading ds4 Windows, if it doesnt work the traditional way, this can help stabilize the connection in general and also makes overall connection and set up easier

Guys, make sure that you go "More bluetooth options" at the bottom of the "Bluetooth & other devices" page, than click on "Allow Bluetooth devices to find this PC". It solved my problems!
mine doesnt say that, mine doesnt have the bluetooth toggle on and off button either.

I can find the Dualshock 4 controller when looking for a bluetooth devices to link to, but it wont link, it just tries to link infinitely until the controller falls out from inactivity and then it says it failed ofcourse..

Does anyone have the issue that you have no sound through your headset after connecting it with the pc? The controller works but the sound is coming from the monitor and it doesnt show me the option in the sound manager that i can use the wireless controller as the main sound source

left click the audio sign at the corner of your taskbar and it should show a couple options from where the sound is coming from its gonna be connected to the controller but you can change it
Make your headset the default audio device when you plug it in it'll default it automatically i disabled the controller in sound setting.

guys, When i followed the steps above, Steam wouldn't recognise my controller until I restarted my PC.... Worth a try if your having issues. Also disable any other controller software i.e. DS4

I've tried this so many times. None of my controllers work. And in my bluetooth area that tab to toggle bluetooth isn't there. Neither is any blue tooth tab in the action centre. Does anyone know how to fix this?
A couple of possibilities: 1. You may not have bluetooth on your PC. Most computers don't have bluetooth out of the box. 2. You may need to update/install bluetooth drivers.

do you have a Bluetooth USB on your PC or a Bluetooth antenna? you need it for Bluetooth. You can check by going to setting, Bluetooth device's then if there is a switch for Bluetooth and its *on* then its should work
When I go too find turn on Bluetooth there isn’t even a option that says on and off I have no idea what to do

My controller does connect trough bluetooth and turns on with white color but after 3 seconds it automatically turns off
What I did is I went to Inputmapper after and clicked PS and Share button again and then it worked. So first you need to connect it to PC and then you need to connect it to the conversion software, in my case Inputmapper which has been solid for me.
@@dondorcha5896 i have found the problem apparently most third party controllers don't work on PC.. it can connect but it won't be recognized as a controller and it won't have the necessary adapters so you need one that is either from sony or it should specifically say that it can connect to pc
@@kevk9306 I'd imagine you're safe with the big 3. Ps4,XB1 and Steam controllers. Inputmapper configures XB360 controls on to the DS4 as it doesn't have any other controller layout. I need it for GTA5. With Rainbow 6 Siege it connects without needing IP at all and the same for Rocket League. It may have something to do with GTA being released last gen but I feel it's a bit lazy of them to not have these options on Steam unless they are somehow bound by some copyright law I'm not aware of.
When I connect my ps4 controller, it always ends up turning off saying that it was connecting then it immediately says "paired", which means its connected but not entirely controlling the computer. I need help bruhh.

@@mr.santana8547hey I found a solution. For some reason the first time I used blue tooth with ds4 it didn't work because I haven't installed the driver thing for the ds4 controller. Just delete the controller out of device managements and try to connect it while ds4windows is running in the background. Don't exit out ds4 windows, just minimize it. It will force to make the ps4 controller seem to be like a Xbox 360 controller.
@ExSlurpy - its a program that makes the computer thing that the ps4 controller is a Xbox controller making it more compatible to the games
