Just a side not, when I tried to connect I had problems. I found that when I clicked on "Enable Remote Play" that Auto Connect to Vita or PS tv was not selected. After I checked that it worked fine. Just putting it out there if anyone else had the same problem. Other than that... GREAT VIDEO. Works perfect.

If anyone is having trouble with the freezing issue as soon as you select an account with the controller, make sure it is connected to your computer through a USB. Mine still didn't work until I tried ANOTHER USB and magic! It happened! Seems like only certain USB's are working so try all the ones you have :)

I've used ps4 remote play on my vita and it works anywhere you can get wifi , but you need to have the ps4 on for it to make a connection.

So when you have 2 Ps4's ( one for my son and one for me) I need to make mine the primary PS4. It will not affect his playing on the TV right? As I will play on my PC screen. Also if my PS4 is turned off do I need to do the same thing all over again?

yeah there's only one think required to make it work: a wide dedicated bandwidth. As I travel often for work I've been trying to make it work at the hotel without any good result (unless you go to best western 5 stars with dedicated bandwidth, 200 euro per night

Which type of laptop would be great for gaming?
Gaming laptops are pretty expensive so really depends on your budget. As for using this method to mirror your PS4, any computer that meets the requirements would work. See the link in the description for the specs

I think rest mode would work
when I put my ps4 into rest mode, it cuts the connection to the remote play app on my mac. I am unaware of how to fix this
you have to put the ps4 into rest mode before connecting not after connecting

when i try to use my remote it registers it as a second remote on my playstation and then my screen goes blank
