Steam had a sale on it about a month or so prior to the release of Dragon's Dogma 2 so I picked it up for like 5 bucks and it was the deluxe edition with all the DLC. I had already started a playthrough and made it to the capital and was starting to finish up Act 1 when my XBox controller crapped out. I did NOT want to use mouse and KB to play that so I watched your tutorial and used my PS4 controller : )
Anyone who cant get it to show in windows. You need told hold share first then hold the PS button at the same time. The light will then start flashing blue, two times fast then pausing repeatedly. You can then find it in windows.

Hey Ed! Once it’s paired you should just have to turn the controller on and it’ll connect to windows since it’s paired and it’ll look for that device when it turns on…
I have this issue, I have done the connection perfectly and play some games, but everytime I want to play again, I have to unpair and pair again, because for some reason doesn't recognize when I press the PS button 😢

Hi @motionoftheocean ! If you buy the game on Steam I think you should be fine with just the controller because Steam provides PS4 controller support assuming it acts like one. Alternatively an Xbox controller would be a safe bet too.

Hey Seb! Yep it’s pretty simple I had to do it again recently on another PC. Plugged in the USB adapter maybe checked that I had the latest drivers for the Bluetooth adapter from the website, but it works right away. You pair up controller or device or whatever. If you don’t have Bluetooth on your computer already.

Hey @sebm8845 Have you tried resetting the controller? Locate the small reset button on the back of the control, next to the L2 domed button. Use a small tool to push the button into the tiny hole. Press and hold the button for 3 to 5 seconds.
It doesn't detect it is a PS4 controller. I tried installing Input Mapper but it only detects that it is a xbox controller. How do I make steam know it is a ps4 controller because in games it shows me xbox button layout?

Does your computer have Bluetooth? You can connect with a USB cable or you will need to add a Bluetooth dongle of some sort if you do not have Bluetooth. There are some options in the video description for Bluetooth dongles.
Hey Brook ! I’d start by updating the Bluetooth drivers on your pc, resetting the controller with the pin on the back and updating the firmware on the controller.

Hey Keke! 1. Any controller like this will work wired with a USB cable 2. To connect wirelessly your laptop needs Bluetooth not WiFi. The laptop may have this already and if it doesn’t you can get a Bluetooth adapter. 3. GTA 6 will work with all controllers, they would never restrict it to a single controller from a single company since they are a multi platform publisher. Also consider an Xbox controller as they work well with Windows without additional software on most all games. In the end choose a controller that’s most comfortable for you. Hope this helps

@NycFlocka_ easiest way is to plug it into a PS4 console if you have one while connect to the internet.

@TheRoamingHistoryador I don’t currently, I should probably do a video for the PS3 controller as I have set it up in the past where I connected 4 at once. You use the SCP Tool. Which emulators are you using?
@@LovingTechLife currently on the works on installing DuckStation (PS1), then emulators for PS2, PS3, PS4, PS5, and PPSSPP (for PSP).

so helpful. but do you think in usb method it will damage the case? cuz the controller will steal power from the case to charge up the controller
Hey Parsa! You’re welcome glad you found it helpful. Not at all the controller and PC are designed to a USB standard so they are made for this.

@parsaeslami4443 It will draw power from the PC but the power supply will be big enough to power all the USB ports without any issues
