Can the lid be fully closed, or will it sit slightly higher when closed due to the grades? Further, i think i might add a flavor bar for the gas model, because the holes above the burner to prevent it from getting dirty. What do you think?
Does anyone use these grill grates for the Weber Go-Anywhere gas variant? What is your experience? Would you advise using a flavorizer bar in combination to protect the burner or not? If so, would you buy the narrower flavorizer bar just for burner protection, or the premium flavorizer bar variant that almost covers the entire surface of the bottom of the barbecue?
Hi, does your lid close properly with the Grillgrates in position? I have just tried Grillgrates on my Weber Go Anywhere for the first time, but the “ribs” of the Grillgrates seem to be too high for the lid to close properly.
@@romanianredneckbbq thanks for replying. I contacted Grillgrates and they replied saying this occurs on some grills, but that it is not a performance issue so it is not something to be concerned about. They went on to say that sometimes there are grills that vary slightly in size from the normal spec and this causes the lid closure issue. I'm sure the problem could be rectified, as there seem to be a few people talking about this on the internet, and Grillgrates must be aware of it. It's a shame, as otherwise it's a good product.
Why don't you leave the spiced meat in the fridge the day before? It's much better. It will pass the taste and smell of spices. A little oil or olive oil, spices, mix and leave covered at least overnight before grilling.

Love your vids and cooking style. 🇬🇧
Thank you !
If you turn the pork chops twice at 45 degree angle you'll get the perfect diamond has marks you see in cowboy cooking
Yes, I usually do that with steaks. I need to make more videos with the Weber go anywhere soon.
I'm certainly getting one. Perfect for when I go camping@@romanianredneckbbq

It won't close down all the way but you can shave off a bit of the lid hooks. It should work great with the original flavor bars

Hello. They don't close all the way unfortunately. :(

Hey my friend! Working on something for you, but wasn't sure of the best way to reach you!

That's very true, but this was a fast cook, bought the chops and grilled it right away after work.

The lid won't fully close with the grates on, unless you cut the hooks off from the lid. The grill grates are easy to clean
