Thanks for this very good and informative video. A couple of things I did different, 1) Instead of cutting in half, I cut my cooking grate with one side about 9", still fits in for storage, but goes right up to charcoal box/loaf pan. It gives more indirect grilling surface without covering the charcoal box, in case you need to add charcoal/wood. 2) If you turn bottom grate over, the charcoal box sits lower and cooking grate sits in flange better for direct grilling. Otherwise, I did everything the same. Ron
Thank you for helping me decide my next grill purchase! Great ideas, great commentary, and very nice job with the video! It was shot nicely and had good content…and it wasn’t painfully long. Thanks again
I can see where rubber grip stuff would come in handy to keep that stuff from rattling around during travel. Would be nice to see some of your cooking videos when out camping. Some great ideas you have. Like to see it in use, especially cooling down cleaning out grill charcoal , and drip pan. Putting it back in van..
Damn dude, your using an angle grinder without a disk shroud never mind having one correctly adjusted. You then used it so the sparks where flying into your face and then you used a cutting disk as a grinder.... I don't work for OSHA/HSE but damn dude.
Are you still pretty happy with the charcoal firebox? I’ve looked at several different pans on Amazon and went with the same one you purchased. Am awaiting its arrival and was wondering if you would have done anything differently?
I swear when I saved this video, it included a section on how to fold an expanded metal grill topper to use as a barrier for 2 zone cooking. Am I just dreaming this?
This video has a section on folding metal grill toppers for two zone cooking. Maybe this is the one you are remembering. th-cam.com/video/ydv6_MQqzDc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=AMLSuMCnRecD_nr0
Great video mate I have a big webber but would like to have a small one I find the big one is too big for me especially for what I cook just wondering can you cook a leg of pork or chicken in this little one Thumbs up from Geelong Australia 👍👑🇦🇺👍
I see you and others putting the starter in the grill. Sometimes struggling with the handle. Why not just take the rivets off that hold the handle on and just use some ss hardware to hold it together when needed. If I was packing this way, that is what I would do.
After enough times packing it I seemed to have "cracked the code" with no struggle. I usually roll the gloves up inside the chimney. Others I have seen put a plastic bag with coals inside. Personally I like to be able to check on any consumables outside the kit. The cool things is everyone seems to be able to put their own spin on this. Thanks for tuning in!
I got it from Obelink in Germany for 80 Euro, shipping included, and it has side handles and thermometer already build in. It´s a Weber clone called Grill Guru and has a better design on the vents as well.

Excellent video. I can tell that you are a seasoned experienced griller and that you put a lot of thought into this.

Brilliant inspiration. I did it all the same. Best „Weber Go Anywhere“ video around.
Thank you!
Great video! Also kudos to whoever built that cool brick wall behind you haha not just a boring brick wall. It gives a cool illusion!
They call that "Clinker Brick"
Thanks a million for making this video. I really appreciate it. I’m new to the Go Anywhere. Your modifications make sense and I’ll give them a try.
As usual, some tips I would have never imagined.
thank you for taking the time to show us those adjustments. especially the bread pan :))
you are a born teacher !
Absolutely outstanding work! You have solved my "taking my dirty BBQ stuff away on holiday" problem! Love it, thank you!!!
Nice idea. Can we get a wee update on what you put in as essentials after 2yr experience. Highly appreciated !

Genius idea with the trivet on the fuel grate to increase cooking height space for larger cooks like lamb legs. Thx.
Awesome man the bread pan hadn't event thought of it... my wife is gonna kill me ...lol
Verry good video! im gonna modify mine tomorrow one tip from me, put a tempature reader on the top!
I have another one that has a thermometer in the lid. th-cam.com/video/AHn5By6mjzU/w-d-xo.html
Thank you for the tutorial. I need one of these.
What size holes did you drill for your "fire box" thank you

Happy to have run across this mod.
Thank you. Will trick mine out to carry in my TrailManor
Thats fantastic mate. Well done
Awesome video, thanks Mike 🙏
Great video and tips 👍🏻 I’m a Weber fan but haven’t put much time into my GA yet
Thanks for the great ideas
great information and I came back to watch parts a second time - but not really a "mod" more of an "accessories & packing" video
Thanks for watching. I would posit that the simple mod of cutting the grates enables carrying everything. Happy grilling!
Nice how to on the grill mods- not so much on "safe use of an angle grinder". It's a great grill- but even with the mods- how is it as a smoker?
Nicely done!!
Awesome! I think im gonna buy this grill
Great Video! Your Lid thermometer link points to a Spatula. Can you update the link? Thanks!
Just acquired a WGA and definitely going to do this. Awesomeness. I need to find your Amazon list now..haha
Links are in the description!
Great video! What size holes for firebox??
Brilliant! Thanks for sharing 👍
Hi. Great vid. Exactly what I needed to see. Finally just bought one of these. I can't seem to find the Amazon links. Not in the description. Thanks.

Love the brick wall behind you, what State are you in. Im in Cali. happy travels.
We are in TX. And they call it “clinker brick” is is the bricks on the outside of the stack that get overdone in the furnace.
Great mod, hope to see more videos from you
Great video mate

What about you’re safety guard on you’re grinder if that disc shatters glasses might save you’re eyes but it will shred you’re face
Good point. Do you have a TH-cam channel or one you can recommend on angle grinder safety? I'm always learning something!
very neat
Красавчик ✌️, привет из России 🍻
Nice vid! Don't forget the charcoal! 😁
I usually pick that up with the steaks. ;-)

Nice!
Great video.... but please use grinder disc protection next time.
no link for firestarters
hi. where can i buy such a small sheet (tray)
There are links in the description.
How did you get the holes in the bread pan? Thx!
Thinking I need to include a link to a step drill bit.
I do this all the time, but instead of gloves I put a nearly 2lbs of charcoal in a gallon bag and put that inside the chimney.
Please excuse a dumb question, but how did you get the big holes in the bread pan? They seem larger than any wood drill I've ever seen.
Look for something called a "step drill bit". It's a single bit with steps in it specifically for making larger holes in sheet metal. amzn.to/3L1Z212
What's wrong with using a wire brush?
The wires can be left behind and ingested.
How much is the Weber GA?
$64.99 on Amazon right now. Link in the description.
These retail for about $137 in the UK
Lol no

At the time of writing this they are £75 Inc postage online from Fenwick's.
Can i use indoor?
Yes if you want to fill your house with smoke
No ! you will Die!...
😂
Great video! I copied everything you did.
This guy?!
Very nice work, thank you!
