Used one of these little Webers for years! I have replaced the grates with cast iron for the sear. Without doubt the best engineered and most versatile 10x16” BBQ on the market. The steaks look amazing, hope you had company to help eat all that!
The way that knife glided through that glorious lump of meat told me two things. One you know how to cook a fine steak, and second you know how to keep a sharp knife. I started out looking at reviews on the Webber traveler gas grill, but have decided on the the go anywhere , only cooking for two and have always used coal
I appreciate that. Thank you ! A sharp knife it’s necessary anywhere. The Weber go anywhere charcoal version is better and more compact, you can fit everything inside it for a easier carry out. Good luck !
I just bought this chacoal grill haven't blessed it yet for camping. I already have the weber traveler and it is not good for packing it in my SUV. It takes up way too much space and the odd packing shape if it . Literally 2 of these go anywheres are less that half the packing weight and shape compared to the weber traveler. I might just get a 2nd one but the propane version. Would use the charcoal version for my main BBQ and the propane of indirect heat. 11 mouths to feed each time I go camping
Yes, the traveler is nice but it takes so much space. I'm not familiar with the GA in gas version, have you considered Weber jumbo Joe ? It's basically a 18inch kettle without legs. I have it and it's got a lot of cooking space, especially if you use a Weber basket it's a beast for smoking.
@@romanianredneckbbq I'm spoiled by the size and packing shape of the GA. It's fucking cute 😂. And I still have to pack a family of 4 when camping so no for the Joe
Great video… the glove seems a little pointless though when after running the meat you’re handling the spray oil and your phone etc with the same hand 😂
@@romanianredneckbbq I do like your videos. I want to buy a Weber go anywhere in the U.K. but only the American market gets side handles which is a shame I think
Those steaks are HUGE. I work for a meat processor and can buy whole scotch fillets cheaply as I prefer to cut my steaks to my desired thickness but size wise, my steaks are always half that size, ie the whole fillets are smaller
Yeah, Thank you. It was a good price for ribeyes and one of them was cut from a rib roast. I ate to many steaks and don't like it that much anymore. It was a good day when the video was made, been almost 2 years.
You don’t mention what grade the meat is. That size ribeye in Prime (Snake River Farms or Double R Ranch) would cost over $300 for 2. I can’t afford that size. I get the size that runs $125 each. Occasionally I will get a “choice” grade. Choice comes in 3 levels. I will consider the Top choice grade. That would run around $80 per steak. Since you didn’t mention the grade or marbling. The grade of the meat is most important. The grill is just the technical part.
I like that you kept your glove on, the one that touched and seasoned the raw meat, and then contaminated everything else that you touched. Perfect example of, "Do as I say, not as I do." C'mon, man...
Am I the only one who hates those grill marks? I would never make a video with a dirty grill... but at least it shows how the grill looks after a few uses.
The grill marks are overrated and to much promoted on social media so I agree with you. The grill is getting used and it sits in my work van all the time for quick grilling on the lunch time so it's normal not to be clean on the outside.
Its a great little grill for being lakeside or camping. GrillGrates makes a great product too.
Yes, very easy to pack too
Great video, you have a very calm delivery. You cooked that beautifully.
Thank you! It was a great day
This is a great video. Thank you for taking the time to make it.
Thank you !!

Thank you! Cast iron is a must for searing anything. Amazing little grill and on the budget too. The camera was my helper on eating the steaks.
What would you recommend for this bbq? Grill grates, cast iron, stainless steel?
The grill grates that I'm using in this video or a set of cast iron grates. Can't go wrong with any of those 2
Can the lid shut completely with the grill grates?
No it won't

Good job 👍🏼
Thank you
Very nice video
Thank you
Love your videos. Keep up the great work!
Thank you ! I appreciate that you are watching my videos. New video coming soon
instead of timing 2 minutes with the stopwatch you could set a 2 minute countdown timer so you alarm will let you know when 2 minutes is up.
Great idea. Thank you
Makes me hungry watching your videos 👍🇬🇧
Thanks you ! I bet, came out delicious
Fain,keep it coming !
Mulțumesc!
thanks for the video, great work!!!
Anytime. I thank you for watching it.
Nice spot to stop for lunch, bet you guys enjoyed those steaks!
Thabk you. Very nice spot. Steaks were spot on, I'm still full 6 hours later
thx for the video! how come you grill with the lid on?
Thank you! Better heat control and keeps the flames away
Where can I get the grill grate?
I don’t think it comes with the grill
Looks really nice 👍🏻
Thank you. www.grillgrate.com
Look up the ones that fit your grill
Looks really good just how I like it medium rare!
Thank you ! It was really tasty
whats the difference between cooking the steak with the lid on and without the lid ? is it just you get more heat with lid on ?
That's right. More heat, the heat hits the lid and comes back to the meat and it's when you use the regular grates the lid just keeps the flames away
Where did you get thise grates for the go anywhere?

It's on Amazon as well
Salut, imi poti spune de unde ai luat GrillGrate?
Salut. Locuiesc in state și le-am cumpărat direct de pe website ul lor. Aici se găsesc oriunde, chiar și pe amazon

True. Ga is amazing! With 2 you can definitely cook for 11 people while camping
i don't spray petroleum on my meat! love your grill technics.
Thank you!

True, I don't usually wear gloves. It doesn't make any sense but it just looks cooler in the video.

Yeah. Side handles are useful. Maybe you can find online somewhere to get it shipped for cheap. The us version
Take a bite for us.
Done

no way i could wait 10 minutes .. ha ha :)
It's hard to wait yes, but it's got more flavor since the meat "relax" , thanks for watching

Thank you. It was prime grade from Publix. Nothing fancy, but it was delicious.

It wasn't the same glove. I had a pack of 50 in there, off camera
Looks okay inside but shame about the poor crust
Will do better next time. Thank you
But that's how it is with grill grates, you're not going to get an all over crust. If you want a full crust use a pan. He cooked this beautifully.
What are you on about. Of course you can get a good crust with grill grates.
The crust is awesome for presentation and taste but for full flavor crust a cast Iron is great
Yep definitely with some extra turns. I like both, grates and cast iron
Lose the olive oil, you don't need it.
Alright, thank you ! I usually don't use it
