I actually really like D’Vorah. she’s unique, she’s interesting and despite betraying everyone else, she’s loyal to the hive mind. this explains why her alliances are always changing because she’s smart enough to know when an alliance is done for and another one suits her interests. I like a character who’s well written and self aware
Agreed , yeah NetherRealm kinda went crazy with the story line but they did introduce some interesting characters like D'Vorrah , Erron Black etc , don't like all the new characters but a few stand out as unique original and bad ass .

But in the new timeline it’s like this Tanya freed Mileena from prison and teamed up with her and Rain to have Shinnoks’ Amulet and keep it from being taken from Kotal Khan and D’vorah and also D’vorah served Kotal Khan and work as a spy for Quan chi to take Shinnoks’ Amulet from Kotal Khan.
------------ Scorpions younger self is 90% the reason his future self died, and Kotal is 90% the reason why Mileena was killed, not to mention he stole her rightful place as Kahn

She’s basically survival of the fittest turned assassin because she tried to usurp Shao Khan, betrayed both Mileena and Kotal, and lost with the Brotherhood of Shadows so I can’t say why I hate her. Though having arachnophobia and having her kill Hanzo does rub me the wrong way.
Honestly, This One doesn’t mind D’Vorah at all, but This One would like to see her die. Maybe one of the Netherrealm folks had a crush on her, but it’s just This One’s theory.
I really feel like they didn't do her right. She has a lot of potential being a mercenary type doing anything to survive as soon as her life is threatened she'll do whatever it takes but they just make her loyal to the largest villain. I feel like there's a lot they could do make her more sympathetic but they made her sadistic.
She is a GREAT VILLIAN. Love her as a villain. She is so versatile that she can fight anyone, even Gods. She should always be a big part of MK as far as I’m concerned. When you have a villain you love to hate, appreciate that villain. So many great stories can be written around her. She is the enemy of the heros and the villains as well. I would gladly write stories for her if I were an MK Writer.

D'vorah is a superb character! Her name actually Honey Bee (Or just bee) in my native language (Hebrew). In the bible (OT) her name was D'vorah and she was a notable Judge (who ruled the Israelist, before the time of the Prophets and the Kings). Her name is still given to daughters, but these days it is rarely heard. Outside Israel though, the name is still common with linguistic changes: Deborah, Debbie, etc. She used to sit under her tree, judging, solving bickering parties, give advice, and sometimes commands. My 1st and 2nd school years my teacher's name was D'vorah who died last year may God rest her soul. Bees are a collective adhering the queen of their hive. With all that said, you can upgrade her character, and easily find a solid reason to keep her role in the game. My favorite MK character was Quan-Chi. Until his return, he's replaced by D'vorah. So don't kill her!
Of the four newbie villian characters from MKX(Ferra/Torr, Erron Black, Kotal Khan, D'Vorah), she's probably my favourite. Very original character design, super creepy, and some fun abilities. I loved Mileena and hated to see her die, but I did think they way they did it was awesome, and I think it served the story well. And besides, since when has death been anything more than a minor inconvenience for an MK character?
I think im one of the only people who actually likes dvorah and thinks her introduction to the story is perhaps the best of the new outworld characters. Upon introduction we see kotal, ferra torr and erron black all fall to kung jin. Kotal was meant to be shaos replacement and he got killed by one of the new recruits. Dvorah is introduced and is instantly recognized as someone who switches sides to fit her interests and a legitimate threat to reoccurring characters in the series and even the main protagonists. If you look at her kharacter info and her tower stories its clear she fights for whoever helps advance her goals, taking sides to ensure her own survival and therefore the survival of her entire race. With her fatality in 11 turning her victims into her spawn and her ability to fight with the best in the series i feel she could be a huge story element even being the main villain of a future game taking the position of shang tsung or goro as a mini boss. I hope in the future we see the kytinn return under her rule and we get to see them in action rather than just hearing the story

I do agree that D'Vorah is an interesting character, because of her aforementioned attributes. It's like D'Vorah's making more and more of an impression as the MK games progress, as she got to kill off two central characters (Baraka, Mileena, and Scorpion), not to mention that she would've killed both Rain and Tanya if Cassie Cage didn't intervene. In a way I do feel that D'Vorah fits the Neutral/Evil trope, because's she's pretty self-serving and wishes to restore her fellow Kytinn, as well as using deceptive/heinous methods in order to achieve that goal.

Unfortunately D’Vorah got nerfed in MK11 which puts her in the bottom tier when she was mid tier in MKX but an interesting character even if she is hated for killing fan favorites Baraka, Mileena, and Scorpion
D'Vorah and her race was heavily inspired by Empress Kreeya from Mortal Kombat Conquest. Kinda makes me want to see Kreeya in the games alongside The Dragon King.

With all that said, you can upgrade her character, and easily find a solid reason to keep her role in the game. My favorite MK character was Quan-Chi. Until his return, he's replaced by D'vorah. So don't kill her!

D'Vorah is seemingly the only competent character in Mortal Kombat. That's why I love her so much. She doesn't fuck around.
Of the four newbie villian characters from MKX(Ferra/Torr, Erron Black, Kotal Khan, D'Vorah), she's probably my favourite. Very original character design, super creepy, and some fun abilities. I loved Mileena and hated to see her die, but I did think they way they did it was awesome, and I think it served the story well. And besides, since when has death been anything more than a minor inconvenience for an MK character?
I think im one of the only people who actually likes dvorah and thinks her introduction to the story is perhaps the best of the new outworld characters. Upon introduction we see kotal, ferra torr and erron black all fall to kung jin. Kotal was meant to be shaos replacement and he got killed by one of the new recruits. Dvorah is introduced and is instantly recognized as someone who switches sides to fit her interests and a legitimate threat to reoccurring characters in the series and even the main protagonists. If you look at her kharacter info and her tower stories its clear she fights for whoever helps advance her goals, taking sides to ensure her own survival and therefore the survival of her entire race. With her fatality in 11 turning her victims into her spawn and her ability to fight with the best in the series i feel she could be a huge story element even being the main villain of a future game taking the position of shang tsung or goro as a mini boss. I hope in the future we see the kytinn return under her rule and we get to see them in action rather than just hearing the story

I do agree that D'Vorah is an interesting character, because of her aforementioned attributes. It's like D'Vorah's making more and more of an impression as the MK games progress, as she got to kill off two central characters (Baraka, Mileena, and Scorpion), not to mention that she would've killed both Rain and Tanya if Cassie Cage didn't intervene.
In a way I do feel that D'Vorah fits the Neutral/Evil trope, because's she's pretty self-serving and wishes to restore her fellow Kytinn, as well as using deceptive/heinous methods in order to achieve that goal.

Unfortunately D’Vorah got nerfed in MK11 which puts her in the bottom tier when she was mid tier in MKX but an interesting character even if she is hated for killing fan favorites Baraka, Mileena, and Scorpion
