- Hey guys and welcome back to another Mortal Kombat video!
Now In todays history of breakdown and analysis, Ill be talking about the tragic tale of the yellow cybernetic ninja of the series, Cyrax.
Now In order for me to cover and talk about Cyrax I must first go all the way back to the original timeline and talk about his first appearance, his fall In armageddon and his rebirth In the rebooted timeline.
Ive always had a serious soft spot for Cyrax In the MK series due to his stylish combos and set ups but this character Is a true underated hero, I cannot deny that in almost every game gets it rough, forcibly being converted against his will, getting beaten down and in the end taking his own life on 2 DIFFERENT occasions, but Its all aspect that love about his character, his sense of loyalty and righteousness Is what really does allow him to stand out.

Cyrax is definitely my favorite cyborg in MK. I always loved how he turned good he always did have humility.

I don't think Cyrax died in mk11, much like Sektor he is shut down and can be reactivated but asked sub-zero to not wake him up if he continues in that shape, so sub-zero bows to save him from his cybernetic fate and let him join the new lin kuei thereafter

@Outlaw By Nature nah Sektor did die there, sub just used the recorded memories to show scorpion the truth, im mk11 kronika brought him back. But in mk11 sektor was disconected from the server or something and was shot down, same happended to cyrax, and then kano reactivated sektor so cyrax should be able to be reactivated

Unfortnately. Cyrax was left behind when Kronika teleported Frost, Noob and Sektor away.
And besides, And even if it is possible to restore Cyrax. The Spec Ops dont have anyone particulary good at cybernetics. And besides, in one of Sonya's intros with Sub-Zero, she demanded him to give her Cyrax's body to destroy it on order that all Cybers needed to be dead. So the Spec Ops are a nope in helping restore Cyrax.
The only person I could think that is able to restore Cyrax is the Doctor in Kabal's ending in Mk9. Who is responsible for developing Kano's laser eye. However, he seems a bit shady. But yeah, I can only think of him.
@@civilsecuritylite12054 I meant as awakening him, which would be possible if the timeline didn't restart again. Intros aren't really canon anyway. There's no way the make him human again tho, that's like his whole shtick.
But in the original timeline he restored him with tech they should have no doubt to do it
The highlight of Cyrax's story for me was when he joined the Special Forces. Ideally I would like to see him return in the next game and rejoin Earthrealm's defenders as a more prominent character, though weirdly I would prefer him to stay a cyborg - the core of his character is that he could retain his humanity despite being more machine than man.
I hope that too bc that self-sacrifice personality had gotta 2 stop

When i played as human cyrax in MK9 my friends and i would say "safety disabled, combat mode engaged" in the intro lol
Cyrax really deserves more love. He is an awesome character.
Cyrax was one of the first characters I played and enjoyed when I got into the series. I hope he comes back as dlc as I would love to be able to play as him again.
Yeah, he was the first character I played when mk3 came out.. He's fun to use and has only gotten better to use in mk9
Sektor and Cyrax have the sickest redesigns in MK 11 and we can't even play them SMH 😭😭😭😭😭

When my friend asked who Cyrax was, I said he’s a victim of the cyber initiative. When he asked what the cyber initiative was, I said it was the ninja Cybermen... because midway really kopied the Cybermen.

I want Cyrax to show up in the new Kombat Pack so badly. I hope he can show up in the next MK game as well..if there is another game coming out in the future.

Now, I get why people want the 'borgs back in MK, BUT, it's like Ed Boon said: "We can't always have EVERYONE'S favorite characters come back in every game. I'd rather miss out on them one or two games and than have a bad ass version of them come back with a good story line than just have the same characters in every game over and over again. And I LOVE the cyborg characters!

Oh yes Cyrax my second favorite Mortal Kombat character of all time. I love this guy and everything about him I hate how he's absent in today's games but his legacy runs deep and I'll always love this character

He was forced in the reboot of the series.
He was forced in old timeline as well. Jax and sonya helped him.

When i was a kid I just referred to Cyrax and Sektor as mustard and ketchup lol

I think in the new timeline in MK12, Cyrax, whose real name is Felix according to wiki, might be reborn as a human being with no memory of the Lin Kuei, nor of the cyber initiative. But later in the middle of the storyline, once he regained his memories from the previous timelines, he would once again rejoined the Lin Kuei to assist Sub Zero (Kuai Liang).

They never treat Cyrax well nowadays he was freed and restored once, but nowadays he’s died twice never getting the chance to be restored.

It was maybe explained somewhere and if so i forgot but….it always bothered me how Bi-han was defeated so easily…its not supposed to be that way unless underhanded tactics were used

Cyrax and Kabal were my two favorite characters in MK3 since it was missing all the ninjas except sub zero who was my other favorite. They had the best combos hands down. I loved comboing with the net, two well timed bombs and a 3 hit combo then teleport lol…I was never a huge Sektor fan unfortunately.
