Welcome to another Mortal Kombat 11 video!
Now In todays history of breakdown and analysis I will be talking about non other then the gunslinger of the series, Erron Black.
I hope you enjoy this video and learn more by doing so! I know alot of you have been looking forward to this one so I am happy to give you all what you want and what you ask for!
Erron Black was one of my personal favourite additions to the MK universe In MKX and Im so glad to see him return In MK11! Now despite his small appearances in the universe, Black has had a few retcons here and there that have slightly tweaked his story so hopefully I am to clarify alot of that here!

I'm surprised a gunslinger cowboy never appeared in the old school MK games. I mean they had cops, soldiers, and ninjas. Why not cowboys? Well better late than never. I like Erron Black. Not my most favorite, but he's cool.
Ive been playing MK since the first one, and I love Erron Black. I think his inclusion is ,by far, one of the best things to happen to the franchise. I just wish he was used more..
And yet considering the young version supposely being klassic, If he appeared in MK3 it would of been badass, More better than MK3 Stryker anyway
Plus he could of been in some fanmade games like Mortal Kombat Project or even Mugen

One of his best lines in game is a character intro with his past self, I think he says something like "One day you're gonna trade in that gun for a heart" he has some genuinely good lines it's just a shame that we didn't get it in the story mode.

Erron Black just oozes badass. Definitely a great addition.
To bad they haven't done SHIT with him but then again that might be a good thing after what they did to Sindel.
Doesn't having a gun in a one on one fighting game break some kind of rule? Don't get me wrong I am very pro gun but it just seems like a totally unfair advantage.

to be honest I think that's why I love him. He follows his own code and doesn't shove down anyone's throat, you know, how heroes always are on a high horse and then the villains are always on and on about their revenge or master plan. Erron's like "hey, its pay day."

I think they both just didn’t really care, they were from the old west (presumably) and have seen some shit in Outworld and modern tech that they’re just like 🤷🏼♂️ lol
In Kotal’s chapter, right before D’vorah shows up if you look at the background very closely, you could see Past Erron and Future Erron briefly battling each other, though it’s a blink and you miss type moment
Older erron black was probably thinking he might be out of a job serving the emperor due to his past self's actions and allegiance when he arrived in the current timeline and if he ended dealing with his younger self he might accidentally kill him due to having more experience thus erasing himself from the current timeline. So he was in a lose-lose scenario. He's actually very lucky Kitana decided to keep him around if he still wanted to work as the emperor's guard.
Before dvorah come in kotal's chapter past and present erron are lose to each other meaning they could be battling each other
The only reason why Erron doesn’t seem really effective is because of plot armor,he could have killed so many of the main cast.
Lol could you imagined that if that happens when Ed is done making him all mystery and hidden his potentials? 😂

@@masterbater8197 Yeah well it was confusing on what Kotal wants them, At first he wanted them killed until he imprisons them and needed them alive for Raiden's negotiation, And if Erron killed them, Not only he would get paid cuts or suffer his wrath, But i still don't understand how in the current game when Erron perfectly shoots well, Sonya was able to dodge all his bullets like a ninja turtle.

Damn, Erron Black does NOT have plot armor. He Lost every battle in mkx and mk 11. Poor guy...
Yet he's a legend and 2nd oldest Earthrealmer, He should be more challenging.

And considering that my Boi Kenshi isn't in the game and Scorpions fuckin dead Erron's odds are a lot better than expected.

I like that Erron Black is similar to the western trope of the wandering gunslinger and mysterious stranger from classic westerns.
In a way, Erron Black got the Boba Fett treatment. He was mostly there just to look cool but not pose any real threat. I know Boba became a much bigger deal in the comics, but in the movies he hardly did anything.
Y'know, except get Han captured and delievered to Jabbas.

Uncle Grimsley and that is still mostly Vader’s doing. Vader and his Stormtroopers were the ones who set up the ambush, with Boba Fett tagging along so that he could deliver the body of Han to Jabba.
@@alexanderchristopher6237 wasn't it Boba who tracked the Falcon TO Lando's place? There's a scene in which Vader's Star Destroyer passes by the Falcon, which is hiding behind space junk, but Boba was right behind them as well. When they took off to Lando's place, Boba followed them and reported their location to Vader, which allowed Vader to set up the trap.
@@unclegrimsley839 Dosen't change the fact that Vader pretty much wrapped Solo up and handed him over to Boba. It wasn't Boba who captured Solo, it was all Vader. Boba didn't beat Solo in a fight, which he should've been able to do easy, even with Leia and Solo there, since he is known as the deadliest Bounty Hunter in the Galaxy. And in the next movie, Boba was knocked in to the Sarlac pit by a blinded and physically drained Solo by complete accident. Jango got a far better treatment in one movie than Boba did in three.

But then he got paid by Micha Bell and left the states before Sadie Adler could track him down in 1901

I wish there was a Shaolin Monks style linear adventure game with Erron Black as a protagonist.
Well he did sorta switch sides.. twice. Both as old Black BUT he seems in MK11 he seemed to be the young version that helped Kitana, The Showlin monk brothers, Baraka, an the others in rescuing Kotal so hes basically the MK version I feel of Riddick then an outright good or bad guy

His game style should be like similar how Shadow The Hedgehog game is, Like playing good, playing bad, Playing Neutral, It be kinda fun to see few different endings, His pistols should unlimited (Due to because a certain error of defying the logic of amount of ammos) While his rifle and other weapons are limited, It be cool also if he has his own few headquarters (Similar to GTA with safe houses) Where he does how he does and have his own work shop of crafting his own weapons since he's pretty a genius on how he improvise his creativity on his weaponry, Also maybe hooking up with the ladies similar to GOW style.

I love Erron so much! I wished we could do a game where you play through Outworld’s perspective.
We can play it like Shaolin Monks where we play as Reptile and Erron serving Kotal Kahn.
We can play others like Ermac, Kotal, Ferra/Torr, Baraka and even more.
I should write about this in my story “Disciples”

I would like to see Erron Black get his own story mode chapter, hopefully when a new sequel eventually comes. He deserves one.
I hope this gunslinger keeps showing up, he really fits with the rest of the cast and is just a complete badass

It was said that Erron Black comes from the Wild West era but was Found by Kano in Outworld, He has been in Outworld for over 100 years due to making a Deal with Shang Tsung whose's been alive for a long time, Shang Tsung slowed down his Aging Process
150 years and yet he's like close to be 200 years old

Its such a shame that he was so underutalised in the story. He is such an awsome character with cool backstory and with so much potential. I think this is the main problem with mk's writting especially 11. They have so many cool characters but they just dont know what do with them so they just toss them aside and turn the spotlight over to the main characters who we've seen a lot of already

Erron black is certainly one of the more normal characters of mortal kombat, compared to how many are elemental ninjas, fire breathing monsters, powerful sorcerers, and powerful god like beings.

About time! I've been waiting for one with Erron Black. He was always an interesting character to me since nobody knows which side he'll be on.

Always kinda thought he was from somewhere in Earthrealm in the American Wild west that somehow DID make some kinda deal with the likes of Shang or Quan or similar after somehow stumbling on them after I guess somehow growing up and gettin trained like narrated into being one the finest gunslingers of that time. But if hes a Black Dragon did THEY actually exist back in times like the Wild West &/or before?? That'd be an interesting story if you havent done so. Along with other origins like Scorpion's clan, or Lin Quei, White Lotus, an others like the very origins of the Revenat or Outworld armies. Really finding myself loving the MK lore. It dont seem much talked about
I've always kinda seen him as the Riddick of this franchise not really on either side as much as he likes to change sides...almost as much as D'vorah but no one seems to hate him much
No the history of the Black Dragon is that Kano used to be in the Red Dragon but he left and made the black dragon in the future and it says Erron doesn’t age so

Erron was a very cool character whenever I played MKX, his moves were so good and he just looked so sick.
I think that Erron black is a also a great addition to the new timeline, though during the mk11 timeline didn’t really make any sense I guess, we’ll is only because the young Erron just disappears and out comes the old Erron, I would like to know more about about the “new era” (mkx) characters that were new to the game.
This is how I imagined the gunslinger from the Dark Tower novels.
You know he needs his own bounty mode like tower mode but the higher you go the more money as the bounty is higher

Makes them. I mean a bullet needs a small explosion to fire. If there are magic users in outworld maybe there's an apothacary where he can buy supplies.
Remember in MK9 when Kano sold Shao Kahn guns? Most likely gets his stuff from the Black Dragon

I like to think that Erron Black existed in the original timeline, but only for short while. In his MKX Ending, it shown he made a deal with Shang Tsung for a long life. Here’s where it gets interesting, Shang Tsung double cross him later on, and stole his soul. Hence, why he doesn’t appear in the original timeline.

The older Erron Black does appear in the character conversations. But it's hard to guess since we don't have a really clear clue other than his loyalty to Kotal
