This isn't even a competition. Mariah is one of the greatest sopranos in non-classical music, well at least she was in her prime. It puzzles me as to why she still attempts to tour at this stage in her career. Michelle is underrated, she has some nice moments and her material keeps getting better.
She was! Her technique might still let her support but the ease with which she sang is gone and almost all of her clips are from the 90's. She was literally a perfect vocalist, but she's 50 now! None of her merit can be taken away but she isn't the same anymore

The fact that Ariana can hold her own next to people like Mariah and when all these videos are from her first real year in industry says a lot. Now her resonance and vibrato is even better.
Belt? Ariana can belt all the belts. She has a wider vocal range for belt than the rest. I do prefer Mariah than the rest. My list is:
1 Slayriah (So beautiful and passion.)
2 Ariana Granslay or Slaychelle (Ariana for ease and confortability while Michelle for support)
3 Leona. (Too pitchy and way trying too hard)
Leona isnt always pitchy...these are just Bad clips and she's not trying too hard lmao do some research
Mariah: A star vocalist unbeatable technique raspy gorgeous tone and more resonant and supported than the rest
Leona: The best falsetto and vibrato in the game that will send chills down your spine. underrated singer
Ariana: the most beautiful unique tone that is very pleasant to the ear. and it improving vocally every time she sings and has more belting range than the rest
Michelle: unique tone and great agility. raw vocals we will always remember her for

In my opinion Mariah actually can belt higher but she keep her voice in natural position,safe, sound better and didn't sound damaged

RYAN 2.0 thinking at a technical standpoint Mariah has more ease being that she supports all of her belting range while Ariana supports only a small portion. With Ariana it’s either a hit or miss because she doesn’t have the control Mariah does. However she is improving.
Moonlight GH if you’re thinking from a technical standpoint, Mariah has more ease because she supported consistently in her prime up to G5. The technical definition of ease is both being able to access a part of your voice AND support it. In belting Ariana does have “ease” if you’re talking about being able to access that part of her voice, but Mariah’s ease is superior because she’s supporting what comes out along with accessing that part of her voice.

So I went to see Leona live on Friday...and she slayed omg. That soprano is still intact. She saved her high belts for the 2nd half but it was head voice that really slayed. Her Ave Maria was so beautiful and displayed her effortless resonance and beautiful tone in head voice. Plus she did the head notes in Happy and the long belt she does in Bleeding Love followed by an F5. I managed to record a little clip of Happy with the C6 but my iPhone ran out of space :(
She sounded really strong in Power and Fire Under My Feet!
+Slaychelle Omg I was there on Friday too! I was blown away, she was better than I ever expected. Ave Maria was unbelievable :O everyone stood and clapped for so long hah! I think Happy might have been taken down a half step, but still really amazing. Did you hear the F#5s on FUMF? Much better than any of her live performances I've seen online! There were actually open and powerful. And she hit that Eb6 in Power!

She took Happy and FUMF down a semitone but her belts were so free and open on Fire and I loved the head melisma in Happy. She has the best head voice of any pop vocalist today IMO. She slayed Power and the church break down on Thunder OMG

I'm happy her instrument is in top form again but you could hear in the early performances of her new material that she was struggling a bit - even her falsetto wasn't as bright... And I'm a big fan!
Personally:
Mariah slays all in this video. And she doesn't even have to try.
Leona Lewis is an absolute vocal beast! She may not have much ease from E5 up, but her vocal tone is unbelievably stunning! Her mid belts give me life! Her vibrato is what stands out amongst all. If they threw her falsetto/head voice in this video, then it would have been over for Mariah, Michelle and Ariana. She has more/most resonance between A4-D5/Eb5. And her Bb4's and B4's are just out of this universe!!!!!
Ariana has so much ease in her upper chest, but she gets shouty and throaty. She has a lot of work to do on her technique. Easily one of the best belters of this generation.
I don't particularly like Michelle's tone, but she's amazing.

Michelle Williams screeches to much. Not for me I'm afraid. Mariah is amazing - in her prime, she and Whitney were perfection. Ariana has a beautiful voice to, no point in denying that. I've seen plenty of videos of Leona Lewis singing live, where she has sang beautifully. Her tone is gorgeous. I personally love her voice. Not sure why you chose just to show clips of her being 'pitchy.'
Anyhow, all can 'sang' - it's just a matter of preference and opinion - so these comparisons are useless really.

To be fair this is an upper belts battle, and that’s Leona’s weakest part of her voice. If it was a full vocal range video, Leona would come after Mariah! :) and easily win the head voice battle

Great video! Can't wait to see what Leona will be able to do live with her upcoming album. Her G5s from "I Got You" at G-A-Y she was ill and it was like 1am in the morning (I was lucky to be there!). She said her voice is the best it's been and she's done an A5 belt on her newest album with quite a lot of F#5s (plus G/G#5s).
OMG she hits an A5 belt on I Am? I can't wait to hear it. Flawless singles this era, so excited for the album

MICHELLE FLIPPING SNATCHED MY EDGES WITH THAT F5 GROWL @8:20 OMG.
1) Mariah : Queen of Vocals! Perfect control over her voice from the lowest to the highest note. Her musicality is perfect as well and she is able .To pitch an exact note without using vocal runs. Just a goddess. Perfect enunciation and she is able To easily carry emotions.
2) Leona: This girl is underrated but she is very good. She has a naturally weak low register but she sings that notes with a stunning techinique, being able to easily sings very low for a long time. Her mid register and upper chest are perfect. Her belts Are also really nice and executed with a neutral larynx but, expecially in her early years, she used to raise her larynx after E5 being still able To add melismas or other things maneging to still control that part of the voice. She has one of the most beautiful head voices ever heard. Nice enunciation and she is a great emoter too.
3) Ariana: She has a nice voice but her low have no resonance, her belts neither ( she is getting better though ). AWFUL enunciation due To her possible tongue tension. She brings , most of the time, 0 emotions. Her voice is dry as unbuttered toast, she often sounds cold and her voice is too high.
4) Michelle: I don't know her ( i know who she is , i just dont follow her as an artist ) but, as i can listen from this video, she has a nice voice with a good technique but her belts are nasal and sometimes unsupported. Don't know enough of her so I can't rank her higher than this.

Leona is my fave, but I think it showed that she doesn't display upper belts as much as the others. They all slayed tbh. Ariana in the very last clip though, I nearly collapsed! I've never seen that clip, she's becoming so much better! :O
