Okay y'all I did it. This was requested a lot, so I decided to compare all four of these talented vocalists. How many times are they going to be compared against each other? I know, I know lol. This is all for kicks, and a little pre-holiday gift. :) Enjoy

I personally like Ariana's voice the least, simply because it always sounds electronic and unnatural in the studio but she is much better than Leona on the high belts - though Leona has more body and resonance up to E5 (her belts in Come Alive acoustic for instance). Ariana maintains her tone effortless and her belts never sound pinched or squeezed here. Still, I'm biased towards Leona because she has the edge over Ariana in intensity
An obvious victory for Mariah, her tonal quality throughout her belting range is peerless here. I love her D5 in There's Got to Be a Way - she was flawless throughout that entire song. Those F#5s in O Holy Night gave me so much life too.
Tamar has a lovely, rich tone and that F5 in Silent Night was very nice. She definately has more vocal weight than the other ladies and is more of a Full Lyric. That A5 was EVERYTHING!
Mariah > Tamar > Leona > Ariana. Leona's C'#6 was my favourite here
Only Queenriah resonates all throughout her registers!!!

I think the Mariah should be second for belts and Ariana first because (i love her) but Ariana belted up to a b5 with resonance and Mariah kinda struggles with high belts/sustaining high belts. but she should be #1 in falsetto/head voice
Savon Williams Mariah struggles now but she didn't in her prime and besides that, I'm going purely off the notes in this video.

Mariah & Leona slay the other 2 by miles and miles! Ariana sounds strained in higher register and hardly has mounts of control! She's too soft to compete with the other 3 powerhouses. Especially with Mariah's whistle and Leona's head voice

Low notes: Mariah and Tamar did the best here, Tamar because of her slightly lower tessitura, Mariah thanks to her nodes giving her an extended lower register. Belts - Ariana has the best ease, having the highest natural voice and no nodules. Tamar mixes REALLY well, but lacks resonance higher up, and Leona can be slightly strained. Mariah probably has the best studio belts, being both resonant and flexible. Head voice - I would say either Leona or Mariah when they use real head voice. Overall - Mariah probably wins this in pure vocalization.

3.) Ariana
Of course mariah reigns supreme in this grouping being that the following 3 vocalist all credit mariah as their biggest vocal influence and its quite apparent upon listening to them all. Secondly, No sleeping on Tamar, one thing about background singers are that they're usually the most skilled singers in the industry. Singing background for toni all of those years really refined her technically as a vocalist and she has an incredible ear and limitless "supported" upper register and is very vocally agile. Leona and ariana are both skilled vocalist as well, however in my opinion ariana is still budding technically as a vocalist in just a few areas like with breath support and control. But all of these women are hella talented.

Mariah slays the other 3 by far. The roundest and most effortless sound from top to bottom. Not to mention she has a legitimate lower register. As for the others it goes Tamar > Ariana > Leona. Nice seeing a comparison with all light sopranos.

that girl would NEVER strain belting in upper register,LOL a light lyric soprano straining on a high note is unheard of!! ariana does lack power and resonance which was proven when she song with pattie. her upper range lacks power. it is just very high and light.

#Lambily here!! Mimi SLAYS them low AND high notes its so natural but in an ironic twist Tamar is not far behind her at all. I really like Tamar's voice.
Leona has an amazing operatic voice like an opera singer so pretty!! Her tone is SO clean compared to the others but she isn't as stylistic as the others minus Ariana. Leona sounds nothing like Mimi, its great to hear her sound.
I never heard Ariana before this. Ariana has a pleasant voice capable of whistle, perfect for pop and she is clearly inspired by Mariah. Ariana is great for pop but its not as organic, versatile or soulful like Mimi, Tamar and Leona.

**Mariah kept the best tone and resonance in all registers. Tamar has a higher belt range though. Leona has a unique vibrato. Ariana....Ummmm...didn't really hear anything unique....Sorry.... But the queen MC still reigns and will continue to remind others why Whitney, Celine, and herself make up The Vocal Trinity.

Tamar, Mariah and Leona are awesome singers, so I can't choose between them. Ariana is last for me. Her voice is just....there. She can sing, but she is no one special. I've heard many people who sound better than her who don't even have a record deal.

Arianas cover of 'Emotions' is actually awful, compared to Mariah's original, and the fact that everyone is like 'omg Ariana is better than Mariah!" but they haven't even heard any of Mariah's original music. Ariana's belts are barely even belting, its all head voice, anyone can make a sound with their voice, she doesn't have ANY resonance in her singing at all.
We need an updated version!!!! This was quite enjoyable

Mariah Carey first because she was in the game first and because she just has an amazing high pitched voice Leona Lewis second because she was the next voice I herd and I immediately like right away and her voice inspired me so much Ariana Grande third although she has such very good whistle tone that sound just like Mariah Carey she create her own sound and can sometime do it way better and in the new hip-hop sound Tamar Braxton fourth because she was last that I herd and I never thought she could be in any type of competition with any of these girls but hearing her voice next to there that completely changed my mine Now each girl has something special about their voice and very different no one can really judge what they sound like or who sound better cause to me they bring something with all the high notes they ever hit.........
