This dude was clearly meant to counter Xerneas and Yveltal, but he spent all of his home being an inferior Garchomp. Then Zygarde finally realized his true power in Alola, and proceeded to take his revenge on the whole world in Galar’s Max Lair.

Zygarde is such a cool concept that was entirely wasted in its debut generation. It's truly awesome that for once, Game Freak actually realized this and made it up to him in Gen 7 onwards.
If only Zygarde had better Sp. Def and it's 2 special moves where one hit Dark types and the other will hit fairy type and hit harder, Zygarde be more viable

It's a great Uber's mon at that, now in Gen 9 it has Tera, meaning a mon with 216 hp, great defences, but a bad defensive typing gets a good defencive type in normal or water or steel, normal especially gives stab to Extremespeed, making it even more threatening@@nbassasin8092
Turns out when a Ground type move can hit Flying types and Pokemon with Levitate, Air Balloon, or Magnet Rise, it's absurdly broken given that the only resists to it are Grass and Bug.

@@ethantreadway9478 all official sources point towards GameFreak's GEAR project eating up too much staff time to work on the game. Mr. Iwata's passing was unfortunate but I don't know how much it would've impacted game dev.
Zygarde embezzled all of the funds for Pokemon Z to take a nice trip to Alola, and it... worked out pretty well. RIP Kalos though.
Also I LOVE that this thing is basically a planarian hivemind. Green and black are so great together.
Hopefully we get a Kalos remake in the next 5 years, it would be wonderful to see the region expand, or simply allow travel to Parts of Paldea and Galar

Shoutouts to Alola for finally adding in the cool Zydog and Complete Zygarde we’ve been seeing throughout Gen 6. At least the anime gave it some much needed attention dedicating a whole season to it. Also, Zygarde and its forms has one of the best shinies period. The minty white and green (w/ a hint of red in the Complete form) is amazing
I'm glad I have two of its shinies in Gen 7
Zydog is really one of the best glowups gamefreak has given us. I was getting sick and tired of Legendary pokemon always looking like machine like monsters or ugly dragon abominations, like they forget pokemon appeal to people cause they're cute and cool looking, not weapons of mass destruction. But this WAS the generation where Masuda and Sugimori admitted they deliberately made pokemon ugly or unappealing cause they didn't want them all to look "cool" and I get that, but.... the choices they make always seems to be spiteful against the FANS of the series.

I know you don't do comment votes anymore but I really do think Arcanine is the pokemon most deserving of a remake.
It's insane how much VGC and singles presence it has now.

Aura Break should really drop the power of Fairy and Dark moves instead of breaking the other two legend's abilities, I think that'd be a neat change to its null ability slot (Outside of Ubers that is)
Or half the power of mega evolved pokemon or Z moves, dynamax too i guess.
And maybe give Zygarde Aura Break after it transforms
I think it should nullify terrains and hazards stuff like that
So remove its weakness to Fairy and adds a resistance to Dark? That really fits its role as bulky pokemon
@@ispeakcockney5387 Not outright remove, but add some buffer too. Kind of like Tablet/Vessel of Ruin, but 33% and only against Fairy and Dark moves. So that Xerneas Moonblast goes from 95 BP to 63 BP
This video has aged quite well
Zygarde didn't get to be featured in a third Kalos version, but it was the focus of the last year of the XY anime, which was the actual debut of its complete form, and is the best overall season of the anime, so it got a pretty good consolation prize.
One of those rare situations where the anime had a better storyline than the game it was adapting.

Omg I’m so happy that you’re covering Zygarde!! Its role in the XY&Z anime completely stole my heart…. I know it isn’t the most viable thing, but I just can’t help but love to use its epic move, Core Enforcer 💚💙💚💙💚
One of my favorite theories is that Guzzlord is a corrupted Zygarde. So much of the theory makes so much sense, and when a fan asked James Turner (the designer of Guzzlord) if the theory was true, his response was, “Ah...that’s something I think I can’t go into too much. They do look alike though, huh:)”
Take a shot every time someone says Zygarde was robbed/we need Pokémon Z. This thing is my third favorite Pokemon and my favorite Legendary. Loved using in competitive and the anime made me love it even more.

Well to me it’s not just that Zygarde it’s its own game, A Pokémon Z could’ve fixed most, if not all the problems X and Y had
During Gen 6 development, Game Freak was also focused on another game since so many got tired of making Pokémon games. That’s why Gen 6 lore feels so rushed and unfinished.

I like how Zygarde went from having 1 form and 1 signature move to 3 forms and 4 signature moves in the next generation
Apparently Thousand Arrows and Waves were even both in the code for XY but weren't obtainable until Sun/Moon, it's so painfully obvious there was supposed to be a Pokemon Z
...And now, three generations later, Zygarde's finally getting its game in Pokemon Legends Z-A.
This almost gave me war flashbacks to the gen 7 suspect test of Zygarde. The set variety on display for a pokemon getting the ban was staggering. I feel like it’s more common to see a mon get banned for having 1 or 2 sets that are so good it doesn’t matter if you bring a counter to them. Zygarde’s flexibility with thousand arrows was truly a thing of beauty

Came to comment about the announcement of Pokemon Legend Z but I can see I am not the only one 😂. The foreshadowing in this video is real.
Im still mad Complete Zygarde didn’t have the Inverse battle ability; it was always weird that as Zygarde was supposed to counter Yveltal and Xerneas, both of them where immune to one of Zygarde’s stabs.
In Kalos there was that one house next to Zygarde’s cave, where you could battle an ”inverse battle” where all type matchups were completely reversed. It was a cool idea that Complete Zygarde would have had an ability based on this effect, where it reverses the type matchups while on the field, and suddenly the Dragon moves are super effective on Xerneas while Ground moves to Yveltal. This would have also created many other interesting scenarios in Ubers.

How I'd fix Aura Break:
It would continue to affect auras as normal (even if new auras eventually are made.)
However, it would naturally reduce the power of super effective hits like filter/solid rock.
That's that. Zygarde is such a cool third "box" legendary.
Aura Break should be Zygarde’s only abiltiy, including Complete forme tbh. Complete forme is such a great design.
