Now, Rillaboom has def hindered it a bit but it certainly shouldn't be counted out!
Ive been waiting for this for MONTHS. My prayers have finally been answered!
Update: This did not dissapoint! Fantastic work. I've always loved gastrodon and im happy to see it got a lot of love over the years.
OMG I LOVE GASTRODON! THIS WAS SO UNEXPECTED
My favorite part about this episode is around 26:00 where we see Dario Freire used 2 different teams consisting of the same pokemon but in different orders, and he made the same placement with both. 🙃
Just wanted to give some appreciation to the editing this channel does. Specifically, your videos do a great job in showing off clips that actually pertain to what you're talking about at that point in time in the video. I've seen video game channels do video game analysis like this, but almost nobody nails that part of the video like you guys do. So thanks for all the effort you guys put in!
I always used gastrodon in my gen 4 playthroughs, such a cute blob thing.
Gastrodon And Quagsire Walk Into OU.
Tyranitar: You Don't Belong Here!
The Battle Ends.
Gastrdon And Quagsire: Did You Say Something?
I love the image of Gastrodon sitting on Pokémon like Dialga and Palkia
Gastrodon is either PU or OU, but that doesn't matter, it has the best scream
It's a very meta dependent mon, either it's trash or the absolute counter
@@jessicakoenigsbach true, same with toad and quag.
I really hate how I keep putting off including this mon in my team. It's got perfect synergy with my Talonflame.
@@redfieldwong717 remember when talonflame was a good mon?
@@DefinitelyNotEmma kinda like toxicroak
Gastrodon is a personal favorite of mine, it’s design is (somewhat) cool, and it has an AMAZING typing!! Really helped me out in many alolan playthroughs.
Isn't its hidden ability sand force and storm drain its regular ability?
yes
The pokémon who got me into competitive Pokémon...
Godstrodon will always be one of my favorites!
Using a Gastrodon in my draft league team, and it's wreaking havoc. Glad to see a write up on it now!
A Pokemon immune to Water and Electric, while only neutral to Ice.
*Scared Kyogre Noises*
Long time watcher, I don’t comment much but this was an excellent video as always! I knew Gastrodon’s history was an odd one, but I wasn’t prepared for exactly how wild of a ride it was!
This thing has been so reliable in my competitive Doubles Team I can't count how many times. So many matches it's outright won in the end because of its immunities and bulk.
Ugh I've been wanting to see this video for so long, logging on to see it on my homepage was the best news ever. Keep up all the great work FSG!!
The goat Pokémon that allowed me to finally beat Cynthia when I first played diamond as a kid
Hello False Swipe Gaming. I appreciate you put in the timestamps in the segments of the video. I love your videos being shot at 60 frames per second. Good work.
The only thing that would make this sea slug overpowered would be a new ability.
The new ability that I think it should get should be Sap Sipper. Imagine how much use it could get if it had that ability.
Gastrodon's weird tiering reminds me of an episode of cow and chicken, of all things. Chicken was training a snail boy for a triathlon and when he finally did it he got up on his real legs that were hidden underneath his body and walked away.
Even though he is NU his best niche was in OU... WHAT?
This video may as well be titled "how good was storm drain actually?"
@@bmac4 pretty good
Yeah smogon is a hot mess they do this a lot it doesn't make sense
Cuttlefish smogon doesn’t choose the tier. The tiers are by usage, it’s the players that don’t play it
It's pretty simple. It's best matchups are in OU - but it's not strong enough to dominate NU because it doesn't get there with raw power - it's strongest matchups are banned in NU.
I waited a long time for this video, one of the best new sinnoh lines, and we didn't get a lot of them.
