Skip to 7:27 for how to make a double flare.
In this video I go over the process of diagnosing, removing, and replacing a ruptured and or rusted through brake line on my 2002 Ford F150. This process is mostly the same for many vehicles that have old rusty brake lines so it should be helpful for other cars and trucks out there as well.

Same thing just happened to me. The break is right at the mounting bracket. Thank you for sharing this video. Exactly what I needed.
Thank you. Great vid and almost exactly what I have to do in the morning. Never done this before but you’ve helped. And my son is going to help me as well
Great video. Good job teaching the kids mechanical aptitude. You can never go wrong learning how things work and being able to get yourself out of a stranded situation.
I sure am glad I don’t live where salt is used in the winter. Great job on the video.👍🤙😃
Haha I KNOW. Salt is horrible. Once I stopped at a salvage yard in Alabama and couldn't believe how clean the cars were underneath! They were like brand new!
Nice job. When Scotty Kilmer started teaching brake line repair, many learned the sloppy, illegal technique of compression fittings. With flares on both ends, and no compression ferrules, you're good. Probably worth replacing other lines soon, that short flexible length at the end should be easy to swap out.
Another good vid benji ... Your little helper was good as well ...
Appreciate the nice closeups.
you should do bleed again with the engine/car start. because sometimes pressure inside the master cylinder and brake lines are different during the engine start and during engine off.
Thanks
Good vid
How do you put freon in roof top ac after I put on bullet piercing valve
Hi Ben,
do you have a video replacing the brake pads?
Great video, but a heads up ... from what I read, a bubble frare is not meant to be reusable or if reused, only as a temporary fix.
Bracket trap corrosion stuff
Would you recommend a mini bolt cutter to cut the brake line?
Pumping your brakes will bleed-out your reservoir ….so the best way to stop your vehicle is to first set your park brake. This presses your wheel brakes manually against the drum or disks. Then when you apply your brake pedal there is less distance to apply your brake. Try this going down hill.
Did you have to take the battery cable off?
it's called a bubble flare up front.
Spray fluid film
Bros got the Bluetooth rocker panels😂
