The roads you are on seem way to familiar as I live in windermere area haha, Great explanation and video put together! I'm also in the market for an RS5 currently and your videos definitely help!

The B8 Bilstein Performance ones are for lowered cars. I use them paired up with H&R springs on my 13 RS5. Great video!

This is really helpful as there aren't too many options for replacing these other than lowering kits or insanely expensive OEM Audi struts that have a reputation of leaking. My 2014 RS5 Cabrio went into the dealer last week for ECU / TCU programming issue. OF course my extended warranty just expired and they sent me videos of badly leaking rear struts and mildly leaking fronts. The car has less than 30K miles on it but she's 10 years old now so I guess it comes with the territory. Audi is asking nearly $5500 to replace factory struts which is highway robbery. I see this was posted nearly a year ago... did you ever get the front struts replaced with Billsteins on the stock coils too? If so do you have a part number for them by chance? Id like to do all 4 corners at the same time and get it over with.

Thank you for the feedback, and to answer your question no, the fronts are still stock and doing fine. It's a weird issue with this generation, for whatever reason the rears had more likelihood of failure, while fronts usually ok (still going since this video released) sorry could help you there with part # try using Bilstein's site, its good a finding the right part number, else just email them directly, good service!
      Thanks for watching 👍

OK. I have questions. What year is your RS5? You said the OEM replacements you put on did NOT work with an active suspention, does your RS5 NOT have Dynamic / Comfort etc for drive settings? I was told by a reseller that the B6 model you mention, will NOT fit my 2013 RS5. What am i missing?

This north american RS5 is not equipmed with DRC, just coil over suspension in the front with independent shocks and dampers for the rear. In other words, if you have an RS5 with DRC, it is possible the B6 damper will not fit because it doesn't have the adaptive function that connects to the cars DRC module. HOWEVER i would go on Bilsteins website, play with the configurator, and see if there is a model of damper that connects to your DRC, chances are it's just a different model number. Thanks for watching👍

I think my DRC systems needs replacing hoping it will be covered under warranty only one place in Newcastle

DRC can be expensive out of warranty, however you could replace with an aftermarket setup. Thanks for watching 👍
