  • Do you have leaking Dynamic Ride Control suspension on your B7 RS4? You can replace the often faulty and costly DRC suspension with the BILSTEIN B14 Coilover Kit.
    This customer came to us after Audi informing him that one of his DRC shocks was leaking and required replacing. Equally shocked by the price of replacing, he wanted to find an economical solution to replace the failed shock.
    The BILSTEIN B14 Coilover Kit replaces the factory DRC spring and damper setup at each corner, with the factory hydraulic lines being capped off, which means at a later date, should you wish to re-install DRC shock and spring set, you could.
    Whilst the BILSTEIN B14 Coilover Kit is an economical replacement it also improves road holding through optimised spring and damper settings and adds ride height adjustment within a predefined range for a reduced arch gap to improve the aesthetic, making the B7 RS4 look even more aggressive!
    For those wanting to optimise the handling further for their usage and feeling, you can also opt for the BILSTEIN B16 kit which has all the features of the B14 but adds adjustable damping between 9 different settings.

    Just installed b14s. They can go pretty low. In rear you won't be able to squize 1 finger in. Same for front but i did not wanted that low . I think it shorten shocks life. Love the ride quality for that type of money. My drc hard line was leaking but i think front was already shot! , so i ditched drc. Removed DRC tanks and hard lines. What a difference when turning. !!! Car drive smooth now , !

    Holy just what I needed, I was thinking of picking up the B14's. Was this car set to the lowest it goes? These are the coils I want but I'm super worried it won't go low enough for my needs.

      Happy we helped! This customer didn't want his suspension low, so we set it to as close to stock as it could go. You could go around 20-30mm lower than this.

    This is not an upgrade. It's an alternate solution for when you don't want to spend the money to stick with the superior performing DRC setup.

      Said no B7 RS4 customer that's experienced both before

      Can confirm factory DRC is next level, but expensive so I'm now looking for a video to show me how to depressurise it to install coilovers 🙃

      What to look for / be careful with eg pinch bolts etc close ups of rear set up .
      Did you fit bump stops ?
      I'm running b14s on my rs4 b7 , would have like to see if you managed to use them .
      Cheers

      We can look to do this in the future but we’re always limited with customers cars, BILSTEIN dampers have internal bump stops.

    My DRC shocks are still in good shape, should I sell 'em? I placed an order for b14s :) can't wait, my HARD line on DRC started to leak! and i think rear suspension feels a bit sponge ! I think it's time, even if you would repair DRC the whole system is getting old, like hard lines...... so it is better to slap coils on it and call it a day! I'm still thinking how to cap the old suspension...did you guys cut the rubber lines? :)

    • @RegalAutosport
      @RegalAutosport  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's up to you really... You can usually get them refilled but if they are leaking due to line/damper failure then its likely the cost of repairing all of that might outweigh a BILSTEIN B14 kit.

    I have B14s & I'm happy with them but was wondering if B16s are worth the extra price for my other vehicle... Only difference as far as I know is damper setting adjustability.

    • @RegalAutosport
      @RegalAutosport  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The setup BILSTEIN have with the B14 is perfect for road use. If you really want to dial in the handling and optimise the handling for your preferences or use case then the B16 is the way to go.

    I am installing the same coilovers on a S4, which is almost the same. How do you do to fit the "small" front spring (the top one) on the rubber part that goes between this spring and upper arms mounting part ? Do you modify it ?

    • @RegalAutosport
      @RegalAutosport  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the comment, we haven't installed these on an S4 so can't really comment. For support, yo'd be best to speak to the place you purchased the coilovers from or the manufacturer of the coilovers in this instance.
