I bought this Audi RS5 crash damaged from auction for my girlfriend to use as her daily car. Now i have repaired it i need to get it back on the road and sort the exhaust noise. The Audi RS5 has a 4.2 N/A V8 but you just can't seem to hear the V8 rumble on the stock exhaust system, so i bought a cat back no res @MilltekSport exhaust! The new sound of the exhaust is crazy!!

New exhaust sounds great. But I also thought the standard exhaust sounded better than the BMW anyway. I think that sounds like a bag of nails in a biscuit tin, but I'm sure im in the minority on that opinion🤣

@@ShadowRS5 hey mate the ride quality i found was better sluggish , very boaty and the power was no where near 450hp. In fact I got beat in a race by an M140i (stock) Best thing I had on my RS5 was an X-pipe. X

Hannahs smile tells us all how much she loves the audi,I was gutted when when the mustang went to a new owner but I sure love that audi and the V8 noise is just magic,I love the enthusiasm you both have for these cracking cars and I'm pretty sure lot of other subscribers would 👍

the grills and wing mirrors need blacking out and window tints dechrome and maybe a chameleon tint?

Without a doubt, one of the best changes that can be made to the audi rs5, I am looking to cancel the intermediate silencers of my rs5, but in Spain I am having a hard time finding material. I love your channel ... Greetings
Awesome that you've done this .... it's exactly what I've been wanting to get for my RS5, mates got a Milltek on his RS6 and it sounds amazing.

What an awesome transformation of this car...brilliant as usual Mat!
The Milltek downpipe sections you have still have actually have resonators in them (they look like secondary cats but they're actually just resonators), you can actually get a non-res version of them too, often referred to as "US spec" version for much loider sound. Do the non res downpipe version and then it should be ASBO loud.
The V8 RS5 cats are built into the headers and require an engine drop job to remove them, so I would get the non res downpipes first and see how you feel whether you need it louder or not :)

Absolutely loving the RS5. For me, a blacked grill and a couple of performance enhancements would be plenty. The car looks amazing, sounds class and is a bit of a sleeper. Just the chrome grill that puts me off! Keep up the great work Matt!
All it needs now is a de chrome on the mirrors, front grill and around windows, that Audi makes a great noise now. Nice one Matt.👍🤟✊

Honestly, all you need is a resonator delete, once those are out it’s going to be nuts loud as is! Mine is perfect with the res out on the factory sports exhaust

I have an RS5 and do not want obnoxious sound, or too raspy. Did you Xpipe or straight pipe.
@@jasonberry4908 mine was the standard upgraded exhaust with just the resonator delete, sounds perfect, mine has the valves to shut to its quiet like a diesel when it needs to be
Only has the straight pipe to replace the resonator, the rest is standard as is. Any more and it’s far too loud
Love it great job. Mine has the standard exhaust with the middle silencer removed and sounds pretty good. You mentioned about wheel spacers and i have just ordered 15mm all round 👍
I have an RS5 10mm and 15mm spacers perfect. I want to res delete but not sure of the best way. Did you straight pipe or X pipe
@@jasonberry4908 hi jason, mine was done before i purchased the car. Its had the middle big silencer out and just straight pipes. Its basically the same setup as the sports exhaust mat has put on the rs5 in the video
@@craigbone9231 thank you, it is hard to read the sound over you tube. So you have straight pipes on standard exhaust, so it still sounds fine, ie not too raspy.

The car did not sound bad at all without the mufflers. However, the new mufflers is definitely a good upgrade from stock, it does sound better on the road. More power to your channel Mat.👏

That’s Milltek’s semi resonated system. They have it with no resonators on the downpipes, mid piping, and the back boxes only, or on the other end of the spectrum, there’s a resonated version with the mid box and the downpipe resonators. I have the same as this and it’s a great upgrade from the stock sport exhaust with a deleted mid box. Removing the cats is going to be engine out, and likely custom. Talk about very few options...

Smashed it again brother 👌👍👏 and if am honest I think it's perfect the way the exhaust is now not every exhaust mod has to be obnoxiously loud lol plus don't forget it's for your girl so if she's happy on how loud it is just leave it and concentrate on the other mods.
