  • This is a class one of the Iyengar Yoga Beginners series. In this class, Naseem goes through the introductory level Iyengar yoga poses. Make sure you breathe softly through the poses and do not practice just after the meal.
    Naseem Kapasi is a committed and disciplined yoga practitioner based in Dubai, UAE.
    She holds a Junior Intermediate teacher certification in the Iyengar yoga system and has been teaching in this style since 2004.
    Iyengar yoga is a yoga discipline that emphasizes body alignment and precision in movement, which enables and allows various levels of ability in strength and flexibility.
    A mother to twins, Naseem is renowned for her committed and concise approach.

    A great class . Thank you 🙏 . I am getting bad knee pain during parsvakonsana, how can I improve ?

      Hi Mouna , if the Knee pain is in the bent leg then put less pressure on that knee and reduce the bending . Hope this helps .🙏

      Mouna plz practice the parvakonasana with chair or wall support that gonna reduce the pressure from your body weight to the knees. Also if your knee cap are weaker don’t go for it. You can begin with knee strengthening practices like setu bandha sarvangasana.

    Cant bend my knees like tgat due to osteoarthritus

    This used to be one of the best video series for Iyengar Yoga. Sadly the ads coming up at odd times, especially while you are in between asanas has spoilt the fun for me. I agree that one would want to make money out of such videos, but i have completely stopped practicing using these videos as the couple of times I did, my asanas were interrupted by ads.. in between your practice what should one do, stop your class and wait for the ad to get over and resume. It would be better if the ads wld come in between 2 poses.. kindly take this as feedback, incase you could do anything about it, it would help. I have stopped following the series for this reason.

      Hi Angel! Thank you so much for sending us your feedback. So sorry to hear your class was disrupted. It must of been very frustrating! The ads usually run before or after the class but not during the class as we don't want our subscribers to be disrupted during the asanas or workout. We noticed that this happened in couple of videos and we fixed the issue now, so you can go ahead and enjoy Iyengar Yoga classes without any disruption :)
