- In today's video we're going to be discussing 11 signs you're a sigma male - the rarest type of man. But what is a sigma male? How do they differ from an alpha male? And what really makes this type of guy such a rare find? We'll be looking at some of the sigma male traits from their personality to the way they live their life.
If you saw our alpha male video you probably nodded your head and thought "hmmm I can relate but something's kind of missing". Then maybe it's because you're a sigma male instead. And that isn't to say you are below or above the alpha male because we can treat both of these dudes as individuals but kind of similar in some aspects.
But most importantly you have to understand that the sigma male does not actually fit in at all. He isn't the type of guy who has this urge to be his own boss. And he doesn't really feel any sense of accomplishment if he knows that people are following in his footsteps.
You literally could be described as someone that loves their own freedom and really doesn't care for any validation from anyone else. But possibly the most easiest way to describe a sigma male is the quote "you feel like a lone wolf"

Started my own "Sigma Male" club a few weeks ago and our first official meeting was last night. Nobody showed. Fuck'em. I had a great time.
I was there..you just didn't know.

Combine these styles, looks, and movements in their prime, Luke Perry, Stallone..Stinga all the way, cause you can be broody and sad, but yet draw people in with your eyes. Alphas can impress all they want and even try to make you look bad. Women see a mysterious cute guy not drooling over them, that's what they want. If stigma learns that and truly never shows their cards despite how much they fall for someone they can stay in charge the entire time. The problem is most stigmas are loyal, and some women, once they discover you are great at heart walk over them until they become dark mysterious and meet other girls. Then it's a tennis match, best never show your feelings.

It’s interesting to me to see maybe a little of why I am the way that I am.... not trying to “convince” myself of anything but I’ve always been an “outsider” within my own family and friend groups. Would drive my friends crazy when I was growing up cause they were all going somewhere.... where I didn’t want to go and I’d just say “aight cool..... I’ll catch y’all later” and go do what I was that I wanted to do all by myself and be perfectly fine with that. Also explains to me why the “alpha” males that would run in my circles always bumped heads with me..... cause I didn’t give a fuck what they said or what they did and I wasn’t going to follow what it was they wanted simply because they wanted it..... cause fuck em..... but going back to the original point..... I just find these videos interesting to help explain to me a little of why I am the way that I am.

When a sigma male chooses to join a group setting. People gravitate towards him. When he leaves people wonder why left. Outsider are forced out.
Sigma male is that one lone kid in school that big bullies don't want to mess with cause he'll fight back.

Haha me, I was definitely the small kid throughout elementary/middle/high school but never experienced any bullies. A few tried in middle school but those got shut down pretty quick.
...and tear them to pieces..which is why you walk away.
I was the lonely kid that nobody played with. I was bullied all through school from 4-13yo because I was the youngest, smallest and weakest but smartest; easy pickings for the bullies. I had no help from the school. Back then the teachers would tell me that I need to learn to fight and stand up for myself and an occasional beating would toughen me up. Except that Mom, a churchgoer, would teach me to turn the other cheek and Father was never around, which is why I usually had a bloody nose most weeks.
Whenever I stood up for myself I'd get in trouble from the bullies switching the story around.
Yep. I'm a sigma male. Had zero anxiety about the pandemic in 2020, especially the lockdowns. I spend 99 percent of my time alone....but never lonely.

Sigma male here, I have no social media, I only have 2 friends, but I legitimately trust them with my life. I love my peaceful solitude and being in nature. I love hiking, dangerous game hunting and overlanding. I am passionate about serving Christ and he is the only ruler over me. I never even knew until i watched this that there was a demographic of men similar to me that felt like they never fit into the mainstream categories. Pretty cool to find that out.

I did not know there was a thing called Sigma Male. Alpha and Beta males are well known, and self evident - I know classic examples of both. While 'categories' are not critical to self growth it does help to identify core characteristics of personality that can be objectively identified as a set.

I’ve just recently heard of “sigma male” and it describes me exactly! People I’ve been telling me for years that it’s odd that I travel all over the United States and Canada by motorcycle alone, and go on vacation the other countries by myself. I would walk away by myself and laugh knowing they were just jealous and envious. Even though I never wanted one I finally have a label
I think this describes me fairly well. The “taking time to think” part is especially true. I wouldn’t say that I have a lot of risky hobbies but I’m not exactly intimidated by danger. In fact, the older I get, the more I feel like safety is somewhat of an illusion.

I realize I am a Sigma male. I knew I wasn't an alpha (and didn't want to be) and I always fought with them growing up because I wasn't doing to allow myself to be a beta. I never wanted to play that game. I didn't feel I needed others to define me. I preferred one or two close friends (usually they were women) than have an abundance of "friends."

Maybe watch other personality type videos to see how they overlap. It can be quite easy to convince people to relate themselves to things. It's how palm readers and other con related artists convince others to trust them. That being said, I did find that I related to atleast 95% of what was described. Interesting word choice Sigma.. its used to denote standard deviation or expected variation. Usually 1 Sigma represents being within 68% of the mean. 2 Sigma includes being within 95%... 3 Sigma 99%... so being rare means existing outside 2 or 3 Sigma in standard deviation. And of course our friend Sigma denotes mathmatical sum. Are we not the sum of everyone and everything that matters to us? Are we centered enough that we can relate to anyone around us? And given some effort we can relate to nearly anything? This is my own twist on thinking about what it could mean to be "Sigma" from a mathmatic maybe poetic prospective anyway...

I don't know why this video was recommended to me, but I am glad it was. Never heard of the term Sigma before, but it makes a lot of sense. I haven't been thinking very much about it before I saw this video. I have never cared or felt the need to put myself in a category. But Sigma seems to fit me a whole lot more than Alpha or Beta. Not everyone is the same though. Everyone has different mindsets and personalities.
Like most people, I was trained (programmed) to do what others want or expect me to do in order to win their approval. It took me many years to realize that I should just write my own "script", rather than follow the one given to me. Question everything. Why should I conform to the customs of society? Go to school, fall in love, get married, and have kids. I've noticed what "love" has done to most people who play the game. Most live in stress and misery. I wanted no part of it. It would have been the height of irresponsibility for me to bring another human into this world.
I prefer being a lone wolf, or just a "Loner". Why should I "fit in" with a bunch of losers? Having relationships with females would contradict who I am. I've never met a female who is on the same level as I am, or who even tries to rise to a higher level of culture or knowledge. Just another "pile of rocks".

Yes, I often get told that I should ring my family more often and can go years without contacting my friends. But I have never felt lonely. I have achieved far more in life than most people that I know. I always had multiple groups of friends I could never stay with the same group for long. I also set goals of learning a new life skill every month. For example, learning to use Excel or learning how to wood work.
