Hi Anna. Confidence in own abillities and knowing when to ask is important. Getting the job done right is important. No need to be the center of attention, however it seems that going unnoticed is impossible. In the end I think intuition plays a big part in how we approach others as well as any task we set out to do. What others choose to call that behavier is irrelevant, you have to be able to keep your mind open and try to understand others. You cannot lead nor follow if you are clueless. Sad part though is that some people see this as arrogance which it is not. I just do not settle for " this is how we always do it" . Just ask them why and often it is habit more than what is the best solution.

Sigmas by nature constantly engage in threat assessment and employ situational awareness.. some so far as OODA loop techniques. Self sufficiency compels this.

as far as I have observed. The birth of a Sigma in Asia usually happen within a very highy educated, yet strict and controlling family. That kind of family have enough materials to provide the boost of the child intelligence to his/her peak, wile in the mean time by excuse of 'bad influence', isolate the child from extra-school activities and their peers. The isolation in years gradually make the child abandon the needs of socialization. Also, as the family is controlling and strict, they start to notice the unfairness in parental treatment of him/herself compared to peers, and with it, developing a rebelious character overtime. But apart from delinquents, the Sigma can control and temporary suppress 'the rebelion', due to high education received from the family background. Being different and isolated really make a young sigma a target of bullies, this is also the keypoint of that 'Self-help, self-improve' mindset. Being bullied at schools and controlled at home also harden the sigma's mentality, as well as drive him/her away more and more from the society, giving birth to the 'lonewolf'. In my opinion, it depends on the education level of the controlling family that will create either a sigma or a submissive, introverted beta. All of the sigma friends who I know well, come from the very same start. Dont know how it looks like in your place ! :D

You have to realize that it’s a guideline. Everyone is different. I consider myself a Sigma, but I don’t meet every single criteria. I don’t think you need to match every single thing on the list of criteria to be considered a Sigma. I mean who’s making theses rules anyways. What authority are they anyway? For instance I very much enjoy small talk. I personally don’t consider it a waist of time because it builds other people up!
You're not sigma if you care about making friends at all. Sigma's don't give a fuck about making friends. Whoever wants to be your friend will just be your friend naturally you will not have to try to fit in. That's beta behavior. But some advice for you. Just try liking yourself first.
No, it's a personality thing. It's based off of someone's experience & perspective. We all see the world through a different lense & we all have different reasons for thinking and being or becoming the people we become. Alot of it is developed during childhood & in our teenage years. This is when most people form their perspective of the world & what they are / want to be within it. Depending on the perspective of their experiences with people & life in general is what eventually determines / forms your personality. But no one is fixed into any specific type just because genetics. It's more like a choice that we make, but it's subconscious thoughts and choices we make as we age. So technically people can change personality types if they put in enough effort to change the way they think and how they view the world around them. But most importantly, it's your own perspective of yourself. How do you see yourself? Or shall I say, how do you subconsciously feel about yourself? This is what makes someone Sigma, Alpha, Beta etc. Also remember that as humans we all form different values on an individual level, that also plays a big part in how a person thinks, and the way they choose to operate within this world.

Why is there such a buzz about Sigma males? Entire channels appear to be dedicated to this concept. If this is to be believed, sigma males would make up .001% of the population - some tiny fraction. So why would so many people be interested in learning about them? It would seem to be very difficult to become one if you don't have all the inherent properties of intelligence, drive, etc. Or is it, that lots and lots of people see themselves in this because it fits the classic "nerd" profile? I don't know. Is this even an actual thing - can you point to one real celebrity who is a sigma and just doesn't play one?
I have honestly struggled with the same thing. I can't think of any man that wouldn't "want" to live life on their own terms, be self sufficient, etc. Even the 40 yr old dude living in his mom's basement playing COD could be seen as needing nobody, living life on his terms, not interested in a partner, saying "HEy lok Ma, the internet says I'm a Zigma!" Perhaps you are spot on with the "nerd" profile. I think they are very relatable to one another with a couple differences. I feel the sigma would be more focused on value-add activities. The classic nerd is worried about virtual reality and the sigma is more concerned with winning the game of life basically. I also assume the classic nerd gets absorbed into the OnlyFns world. According to this video, I fit the profile. I own my own business, charismatic, no personal social media, I have the ability to do whatever I want when I want. Every single point described me perfectly. Does that mean I'm a Sigma? I don't know and honestly don't care. I think labels are just to make individuals feel better about themselves or that people just want to 'belong' to a unifying group identity. Even the terms 'Alpha' and 'Beta' are highly subjective. Given a group of 10 alphas, 1-2 may rise to the top under a set of circumstances thus making the remaining 8-9 betas in that setting. Likewise, in a group of betas, someone could step finally up and do what needs to be done. Does that make that one beta into an alpha even though his position would be much lower than the worst person in the prior alpha group? Technically yes as long as the dominate alphas do not integrate with the only beta group. A chicken's pecking order is a great example of this. From my research, the Sigma profile = A self improvement seeking, high intelligence introvert. To answer your question about a celebrity, the only person I can think of right off hand would be Keanu Reeves with his no social media profiles and general introverted behavior. Kind of a rarity since Hollywood is filled with the narcissistic alpha types.

No, it's a personality thing. It's based off of someone's experience & perspective. We all see the world through a different lense & we all have different reasons for thinking and being or becoming the people we become. Alot of it is developed during childhood & in our teenage years. This is when most people form their perspective of the world & what they are / want to be within it. Depending on the perspective of their experiences with people & life in general is what eventually determines / forms your personality. But no one is fixed into any specific type just because genetics. It's more like a choice that we make, but it's subconscious thoughts and choices we make as we age. So technically people can change personality types if they put in enough effort to change the way they think and how they view the world around them. But most importantly, it's your own perspective of yourself. How do you see yourself? Or shall I say, how do you subconsciously feel about yourself? This is what makes someone Sigma, Alpha, Beta etc. Also remember that as humans we all form different values on an individual level, that also plays a big part in how a person thinks, and the way they choose to operate within this world.

Why is there such a buzz about Sigma males? Entire channels appear to be dedicated to this concept. If this is to be believed, sigma males would make up .001% of the population - some tiny fraction. So why would so many people be interested in learning about them? It would seem to be very difficult to become one if you don't have all the inherent properties of intelligence, drive, etc. Or is it, that lots and lots of people see themselves in this because it fits the classic "nerd" profile? I don't know. Is this even an actual thing - can you point to one real celebrity who is a sigma and just doesn't play one?
I have honestly struggled with the same thing. I can't think of any man that wouldn't "want" to live life on their own terms, be self sufficient, etc. Even the 40 yr old dude living in his mom's basement playing COD could be seen as needing nobody, living life on his terms, not interested in a partner, saying "HEy lok Ma, the internet says I'm a Zigma!"
Perhaps you are spot on with the "nerd" profile. I think they are very relatable to one another with a couple differences. I feel the sigma would be more focused on value-add activities. The classic nerd is worried about virtual reality and the sigma is more concerned with winning the game of life basically. I also assume the classic nerd gets absorbed into the OnlyFns world.
According to this video, I fit the profile. I own my own business, charismatic, no personal social media, I have the ability to do whatever I want when I want. Every single point described me perfectly. Does that mean I'm a Sigma? I don't know and honestly don't care. I think labels are just to make individuals feel better about themselves or that people just want to 'belong' to a unifying group identity.
Even the terms 'Alpha' and 'Beta' are highly subjective. Given a group of 10 alphas, 1-2 may rise to the top under a set of circumstances thus making the remaining 8-9 betas in that setting. Likewise, in a group of betas, someone could step finally up and do what needs to be done. Does that make that one beta into an alpha even though his position would be much lower than the worst person in the prior alpha group? Technically yes as long as the dominate alphas do not integrate with the only beta group. A chicken's pecking order is a great example of this.
From my research, the Sigma profile = A self improvement seeking, high intelligence introvert.
To answer your question about a celebrity, the only person I can think of right off hand would be Keanu Reeves with his no social media profiles and general introverted behavior. Kind of a rarity since Hollywood is filled with the narcissistic alpha types.
