The encounter could have been avoided if they just had a conversation. A similar situation happened in the Archie TMNT comic. The turtles accidentally walked into Rat King's territory. They talked, and he let them leave. Not an action packed encounter, but it was civil. After that, I don't think Ratking ever showed up again.
Let’s look at the turtles’ pov their youngest brother disappeared They look for him and worry about him. And then Mikey show back said he was tied up all this time and said rats were going to eat him that makes sense that the turtles want some of kind revenge for hurting their brother
It's been a while since I've seen it, but I think the 4Kids cartoon gave him a backstory where he was transformed by some kind of government experiment.
Rat King is my favourite TMNT Villain. He is mystery, scary and sympathetic. You do make a good point about The turtles trespassing but to be fair, they didn't know Rat King lived there. And then you have the issue where Splinter meets Rat King, only to find his corpse later on. Even in death, Rat King left an impact.
Rat King is outcast, he’s actually really like be lonesome, with experience of traumatic situations that he’s had, he’s actually want loneliness, Just my opinion’s of it
Interesting take on the Rat King, the turtle just a killed a man for defending his property lol
I think they were mad because he took Mikey
I agree
@@ashleywimmers6481sounds reasonable

in the comics he's given a more supernatural origin as part of the Pantheon.

True.
Rat king was a god on the pantheon and a mental patient in mirage
I had a lot of TMHT (Europe) action figures. Rat King was my first bad guy and one of my favorites.
Sounds like nice memories!
damn rat king was just a fuckin sad homeless dude in mirage, poor bastard
Rat king 👑 is going to come in TMNT movie 🍿🍿🎥 so we want similar character
The rat king is probably the most confident villain in the 80s cartoon.

I LOVE THE RAT KING HE IS ASWEM

So 2 would be a accurate number
And this is suposed to be a kid show?
No. This is the original mirage comics and they were more mature than the 80s cartoon
