I so wish I could fund PL so he could finish this book. It may not have had the best pacing, but the writing was so unique and interesting. People love to harp on the "vol 4 was just weird bro" thing, but I'll take Laird's writing over Campbell's any day.
I didn't like Vol. 4, but no question that it was better than the IDW crap. I don't think Laird needs funding to finish Vol. 4, as he was literally giving the comics away free digitally on the Mirage website. You only had to pay if you wanted physical copies. I think he just lost interest in the whole thing. I think he still retains the right to publish comics set in the Mirage universe even after the sale to Nickelodeon.
