  • Debbie and Mark wanted to show what its like having a conversation while both were struggling with post traumatic headaches. Post traumatic headaches have many different sources and have many different manifestations. Mark has migraine headaches, which he has had since before his TBI, but which have been made worse by his injuries and effect his memory and word finding. Debbie has headaches from elevated ICP, or hydrocephalus headaches. These cause her to stutter and have trouble with memory and processing delays.
We wanted to show you us while we struggled so people without brain injuries can better understand the nature of post traumatic headaches.

Thank you for sharing the aspects of brain fog (from misty to pea soup) and what is dubbed neuro-fatigue. My wife still does not get my scenario that my hat is too tight or the split second ice pick to thru the skull. However, I am supposed to be compassionate with her migraines; hence the tension does build on a month to month basis. Hopefully, one day science will provide a helmet (like Magneto's) that quickly does a EEG and records the data. Until then, we banter about, "You are lucky that you do not have what I have."; thus the giggles start and provide some relief.
In a future topic of video, please educate about acephalgic migraine and its relation to ABI. Neurology has not come far enough to embrace this situation and treatment is like playing roulette.
