Got me wanting to build a 410, but I ain't got 410 money. 🤣
Budget 393 can be done under $1000
Love to see good folk teaching on the ol Ford power.
Have a 94 351w ready to build for 408 this gives me satisfaction that my 750hp goal will be fine on a stock block
Wow it looks great, with all the extreme hours, miles, abuse on the dyno, street, track, with boost, she damn near
looks like it was put together this year. With amount of HP you are getting from a SBF single turbo is beyond
amazing. It really goes to show a awesome build, awesome maintenance, and just strong these Fords are!
Built ford tough. Proof is right there in the video. Aint no one hiding anything
Looks good, glad nothing got destroyed
Me too !
Look forward to the refresh and updates on pinning the cam better, I'm saving my pennies for a build very similar, but thinking of blower setup..
It's like being back in shop class, I love your content. Thanks for keeping it coming.
Thank you for this!! Always wanted big power from SBF's and you make it hard to not grab a junkyard 351 while I'm in the middle of this 347😪🤦🏾😂also thank you for responses to these msgs. Your awesome fr fr. Love your content from Northern California 👏🏾💪🏾💯
Thx for being part of the channel !
Looks good. It's crazy how much a production block can hold. I can't wait to see what happens next.
That's a whole lot of power and a really clean motor
thanks!
Looks clean, doing a 393 .040 over, thanks for heads up on those short throw lifters, on the other vid.
Glad to see there wasn't any carnage. You have definitely inspired me and many others im sure. From the On 3 302 stuff till now. Keep on keeping on. 👍🏻👍🏻
Thats great to here thanks again man for being on the channel!
Nice! Love to see sbf windsor motors! Tough as nails!
Yes they are!
One of my favorite things to do take motors apart love it
Always impressed with your engine breakdown and build knowledge! You definitely know engines inside and out!
Thank you!
Hey Dan, received my Tshirt today in the mail. Looks and feels good. Buy a T-shirt or hoodie from Dan folks you will be glad you did. Take care everyone, Brent
TY my friend!
You are very welcone
The upload, I was waiting for. So, pretty much timing component failures? From, the looks of it. Thank you, for the upload!
Yes i didnt realize the retainer was that bad until the tear down here. We will be double pinning the camshaft.
Looks dam good
I never got more than 2000 km on an oil change. And that was under 400 hp.
Great video, as always 👍
Thanks again!
I’m gonna guess it looks fine. I never had an issue with my 410W and it was NA and I was always bouncing it off the rev limiter. Also was a jerk to it and shot it with 75hp dry shot of nitrous without any nitrous tuning in the Holley.
Why not just watch the video? This was boosted. Yours was NA.. big difference.
@@NeomustangsI watched the video. Exactly what I thought. Your cam retainer bolt backed out and chattered on the threads and your dowel broke and your oil pump pickup was messed up. I had a roller block from a 96 van. I also put 48k miles on my motor before I sold it. Could’ve used hone and rings but other than that it was running strong. I’m guessing you’ll be honing and putting new rings in. Are you going to go bigger than 410 or are you going to keep that 4” stroke and 4.040 bore?
@@RadDadisRad Same engine all new wearables. Heads were brand new upgraded best they could be. Might run a custom cam instead of that one. I dunno we will figure that out after rotating assembly is locked in.
@@Neomustangs nice, it’s a stout build.
A credit to Ford engineering 😎
Ford engineering😂, these engines make despicable power stock. Whole top end doesn’t flow well
Man it looks good! Think that variable cam timing was causing your low hp levels 😅. Shoot I’d put it back together if it was my broke butt, lol. Fix the valves of course.
Just going to redo the bearings, rings and freshen it up. Wont be that much. its been 3.5 years i owe the motor a close look before we beat on it even harder.
Main girdle is a must on 351 Windsors making over 600hp. They tend to get a little bearing walk around 700 + hp. That thang looks good.
I'd polish the crank, new bearings, put it back together and flog on it. It ain't hurt. BTW, what oil you use?
Brad penn 15/40. And thanks. My thoughts exactly.
Great job great video ❤🤟🤟🤟🤟
Impressive for sure. What oil do you run? Looks like Brad Penn by the green tinge
Penn Oil (brad penn) 15/40 with the zinc. Green Oil
Thanks for showing your tear down. Was curious to see if you had any issues with the block. Do you fill the block with concrete up to the bottom of the freeze out plugs? I have a 351 built the exact same as yours, was worried about pushing 1000hp with it. After seeing yours I have no worries.
No block fill
Thanks for your whole breakdown on the strength of the 351w,had a question pertaining to your budget 351w if someone out here can help me out,for the budget 387 build your using a 3.850 stroke crank, why not use the 4.000 crank? Is it because the 302 pistons are too tall to use the 4.000 crank and you would have to new pistons? Any help would be great because I have just bought a 351 to do the budget build but wouldn’t mind spending a little more extra for the 4.000 crank
You answered you own question. Yes
I'm not sure if you have done this already. But maybe you could do an engine breaking video once you get this one all back together.
i just broke most of the internals down in this video?
@Neomustangs haha. Sorry, I meant engine brake in, not braking. My bad.
The best engine for me 351w
Been following this car for a long time now, would love to see it get near an 8 second pass. These Windsor's are tough!
Do you run the stock pins that came with the pistons or did you upgrade to a thicker wall?
I am building a 408 Windsor for my dad with diamond pistons and it came with 4130 .155" pins. I am curious to know your opinion on pins given your experience
Thicker wall pins.
What kind of heads and what size turbo? I have a forged 357w single turbo build going together now. Nice stuff man!
Theres lots of recent videos covering all those in detail. thanks for watching tho i appreciate it !
Will that oil pan fit a 93 f150 . Another thing is that rotating assembly is made by is it forge also is that carb or fuel injection what boost turbo and waste gate was u runnin
Yessirrr 🔥
Like you said looks good for the abuse it been threw. I just had my 306 natural balanced hopefully it will help on that 2 bolt main block 😅
0 balance is huge in engine builds..
@@Neomustangs so I've heard and read lots about it and really make lots of sense to .We'll see on my little boosted 306 @12lbs sho would be nice to see little over 500 to the tire and live a happy life 😊
You wouldn’t have a set off 4.030 pistons for a 383 build with t.f.s heads
No sorry
Was those king bearings or clevlite I prefer king bearings
King iirc
What pistons and rods are you using Neomustang?
It says it in the video
Looks brand new still. What kind of oil do you run?
15/40 brad penn or penn oil with zinc. $100 a case? took 6.5 quarts (i ran a shorty filter)
curious what kind of torque numbers was it doin
Its in the channel. I mentioned it in the first 30 seconds lol
damn a d d
@Neomustang Are these a solid or hydraulic type lifters?
Hydro style.
Does K1 Tech sell a 410 stroker kit or do you purchase the parts separately?
IM sure
@@Neomustangs CNC Motorsports sells them. Starting at $2400. I want to turbocharge my next Mustang. Thinking flex fuel setup. We can get E85 from the pump near the airport, but what if I'm somewhere and I can't find it. Needs to run on 93 too.
If the rotating assembly is zero balanced then why do you have a counter weight in the harmonic balencer?
Was not the balancer that was used on that engine …. Was only used to rotate
How was cap walk looking?
there really wasnt any. we will go over that when we check the cracks and such prior to assembling anything.
Is the block cement hard block
No
Just asking.....why not carburetor intake ..,and use sniper or fi tech or aces kill shot ...again just asking why such a expensive intake , wanting to learn
Its what we had. Besides we made a change to this engine recently, will be interesting!
What's next ?
Lol like what are we doing with it? or the next video
How many runs per Oil change?
Quite a few. I changed it every 3 months. So there was quite a few miles/runs as we raced a LOT this year.
@@Neomustangs I was changing every 2 runs on the 387, thought the gas was thinning it out, it would start out at 60psi then after a few hits drop to 30psi, pretty sure it was the Rod Bearing going out now,
My oil was 60 cold, 40 idle/driving normal, 30 when i made a hit. Recovered when oil cooled back up to at least 55.. thats normal dude
@Neomustangs well we definitely had a Bearing failure on cyl 6, we have the engine back together, little tighter clearances than before but very limited part selection
