Hey folks! Quick correction on the 302 deck height from '73 to '76 - it's actually 8.229 inches. Ford made this change to lower compression ratios for emission regulations and to adapt to lower-octane fuel. After '76, they went back to the 8.206-inch deck as better emission tech came along, letting them balance performance and emissions without the taller block. Just wanted to set the record straight. Thanks for catching the error and be sure to keep holding my feet to the fire! 🫡
Hey Ed great content. I really do enjoy your videos. Always informative. I have the 4.9 with a column shifter. The shifter was broken and I rebuilt it. Took time to find the parts but I did it😊
I'm not an artist, so I use AI to generate images. It has no idea how to make a 302 so it just makes a generic, and terrible, image of an engine. It's not great but that's part of the process. It's either that or I stop making videos until I learn to draw. 🤷
@@BullnoseGarage As if there aren't thousands of pics of SBF's on the Internet. And where's the buildup of a twin-turbo stroker 460 9-second Bullnose? Where's the Bullnose drift truck nerfing competitors into the stands filled with fans? I want entertainment, dammitol.
@@BullnoseGarage Do you know how many channels use others' pictures under Fair Use laws? Most of them. And I don't need to Google diddly. I have 12 289's and 10 302's. Your vid is aimed at newbies. Good luck.

Great video!
Oh yeah I received the T-shirts and my wife loves hers. I have not had a chance to wear mine yet but tomorrow is Saturday ! Thanks again.
Thanks man, I appreciate the support. Glad she likes it. I got a bunch of my own stuff and it's all really nice.
@@BullnoseGarage You’re welcome. Happy to support your channel

You are the AI 🤖 master!
???? 2000 FORD EXPLORER 5.0 RED LINE IS 6 WHAT CARBURETOR DO I USE FOR THIS EFI ENGINE I NEED HELP IM TOTALLY CONFUSED
Put a turbo on your 300, keep it below 7psi boost and have reliability that’s unmatched and pony’s of a hot rod 5.0.
Deck height is wrong..
73 to 75ish maybe deck height 8.226
Thanks for the heads up. It was 8.229 and only between 73-76. Ford did it for emissions. I'll pin a comment with the correction.
None of these fantasy engine drawings even remotely resemble a 302. Artist is on the pipe. Big pipe. Big time.

You're right about the newbie thing at least. Goes for my entire channel. I'm not ashamed of that at all.
