Can I tell you something? He sounds ever better in the theater, if you can imagine it. I’ve seen him two times at the Metropolitan, and I couldn’t believe my ears. Perfect lyric voice.
I didn't know Jeri from Survivor Australia played the piano! Benjamin's voice at this point is just perfect in a recital situation. Beautiful rendition.

Corelli was Corelli. Bernheim is one of the most fantastic lyric tenors in any generation, and yes, I’ve seen him twice on the stage. The two voices have no similarities, other than they’re both great tenors.
@@Alonepistachio The fact your whole family are opera singers and this is your idea of being "by far the best tenor of his generation" makes me think that your family are all terrible opera singers, or we just don't have very good tenors these days. The latter is definitely true, regardless. Also, I wouldn't being placing Jonas Kauffman and this guy together, although I'm no huge fan or Kauffman, they are both completely different voice types. In terms of modern tenors that are actually in a similar vocal category (more lirico eggero) Florez, Lawrence Brownlee, and Michael Spyres are all far superior singers. Don't get the wrong impression and think I actually like them though, they all sound like mosquitos, but they can sing. For non modern lirico leggero tenors, (i.e. actually good) I'd listen to Tito Schipa or Farrucio Tagliavini, Alfredo Kraus and Fritz Wunderlich was also excellent.
@@Alonepistachio lol you're his sister? 🙄 Probably no need to continue the conversation, coz we probs won't agree. Do thank your bro for contributing to mediocrity of today's opera world though.

Please keep an eye out for this new tenor, too. His name is Kim Min-seok.
This is the first time that I know him, so for this piece it's great.
Excelente interpretação !!!❤❤❤❤❤

Please let me hear that excellent piano accompaniment alone! She does a beautiful job!!!!
Stunning! So many nuances...what a technique!!

Wonderful performance!
Found him thanks to KQAC, Portland, Oregon. Looks like my new favorite in this gorgeous aria!

Una excelente y bellísima voz.
Stunning interpretation. Wow.
Linda interpretación!! Felicitaciones 👍✌👏👏💐❤
Merci
@@rosy3385 merci beaucoup ❤️
That's really nice! Congratulations!!
Phantastisch, wie er die Daynamik nutzen kann...
Thanks Happy 2020 from Chile.

L'intelligence de ce type!!! Après tant de braillards obtus, on a l'impression d'avoir trouvé LE ténor.
gracias... impecableee... gracias. salu2 desde arg!!!!!!!!!!!
Un bel pezzo ITALIANO

Çox gözel!
Nothing like Pavarotti
e brava anche la pianista. lui un pò retorico e deve ancora assimilare bene l'aria {anche stilisticamente}
Of course it is beautifully sung but please more from the French rep which has lain moribund for all too many years.
nice, but he does not understand the "italian" style...this is not a "Chancon"!
He is like a Lighter version of a Young Domingo.
The antithesis of Bel Canto..
A new Corelli? Time will tell. I am very positively impressed
Do you think his voice resembles Corelli`s?
Corelli? Why?
@@evakiseleva8570 his voice is the synthesis between Corelli and Di Stefano

Pas cette puissance, santé pour chanter. Dommage.
Nice voice, but a bit all over the place musically and technically.
@@Alonepistachio You need to listen to more tenors.

Because this not an opera singer. It's a pop singer with a good voice attempting opera as an amateur
@@simonebu Exactly!
Was brüllt er denn so? Wenn du das mit Gigli vergleichst, naja…
Really terrible, he has no idea on how to sing Italian opera
