Ethos Overdrive - Tele

Van Zandt TLV R2, Ethos Overdrive, Boss Katana, MXL 990 off-center and about 20cm back from the grill, straight into a Focusrite 6i6 with no post-processing or EQ. Pedal bypassed first, then used with the overdrive section, getting sounds with neck, bridge, and neck+bridge positions while testing how the pedal reacts to the guitar's volume knob.

Sounds great. My ethos od is really noisy with the switch set to bright on the od channel. Bummer, really opens up with it on.

Interesting! Do you think yours might need a service? My FX loop was extremely noisy too but I've read that it's an issue. Sold this a while back but I'm tempted by the latest offering with the two channels and the reverb

Hopefully it doesn’t need service, it’s brand new. Maybe I need to mess with different settings to see if it quiets down some.
I was actually about to buy the new one but I’m playing through a deluxe reverb amp and that’s what it’s modeled after. I figured I wouldn’t benefit from a pedal that copies the circuit of the amp I’m using. No regrets though, the ethos overdrive is great.
