  • Revisiting the Nux MG300, this isn't even the most recent update, but the Tweed Bassman is a really good model and it has lots of dynamics, a little bassy but that can be fixed with EQ. Makes for a really affordable rig and I think that you can just ride the volume knob for clean and overdriven tones.

Great Playing! And a beautiful guitar there! I think about getting a NUX as well. Can i play it with just headphones ? Or do i need an amp to plug it into?

Thank you! For the MG300, the output is a stereo output that converts to mono when you use a typical 1/4 inch TS connection to a DI or whatever you feed it to, but you can plug headphones into this output and get the full stereo experience with a 3.5mm to 1/4" TRS adapter for your headphones or with 1/4" TRS headphones. I'd highly recommend getting the MG400 over the MG300! The prices for the MG300 have gone up a bit and you might as well get the MG400 which gives you lots of flexibility with the additional footswitches and is still priced reasonably. The MG400 has a dedicated 3.5mm headphone output too.

hi, may i ask what amp you will recommend for nux mg300 + squier cv with a low budget?

Thanks for asking! If budget is a major concern I would explore the following options:
If you are only playing at home. Try to look for things that you may already have. Do you own computer speakers, a stereo system, or a large bluetooth speaker with 3.5mm AUX in? The Nux will sound very nice plugged into those, just use a 1/4 inch TRS to 3.5mm TRS cable or adapter. The MG300 Output is 1/4 inch TRS, and it only automatically switches to mono if you plug in a 1/4 inch TS cable.
If you need something to play with a band, and you need to be loud, consider a Keyboard or Acoustic amp as those can be found quite cheap on the used market. If you have more budget to work with, you can look at cheaper FRFR options like those from Headrush, you can also use a Boss Katana using the Power Amp In/Acoustic Setting/AUX in.
Finally, if you need to play quietly, you can purchase really good and affordably priced IEMs like the Salnote Zeros, these can be found on websites like aliexpress/amazon/shopee.
