I like your approach and I understand why you do what you do. Personally, as a cancer survivor, so far anyway, I think that it is important to cut down on all the foods and things you mentioned, as opposed to totally cutting them out. So, I guess for me, having a deli sandwich every blue moon, or having a bowl of ice cream once in a while is okay. I personally believe one the most important things you can do is exercise and try to limit processed foods. Primarily, I think one of the keys is to lose weight. If you eat just 300 less calories a day, say 1900 calories per day, YOU WILL LOSE WEIGHT GRADUALLY OVER TIME. It's important to eat fruits and vegetables but it's also important to get enough protein. I am on my journey too but these are the things I've been prioritizing. I am feeling much better being on a low carb, high protein diet, and working out five to six days a week. That's 2 t0 3 days of lifting light weights and 2 t03 days of walking/running. Good luck on your cancer journey.

She has mentioned that before, she is in favor of not removing things completely from our diets, buy as you do having a deli sandwich or even drinking a glass of wine every blue moon. Exercise and plant forward as well eating protein 3 times a day is what she advocates in most of her videos.

Or if you must have juice, make your own! Use fresh fruits or vegetables to make it though, not the juice mixes from the supermarket, and if you must add a sweetener, use just a bit of honey.

As a 70 year old recovering from ovarian cancer treatment, including a complete hysterectomy, do I really need to be concerned about estrogen? It would be helpful to distinguish which cancer patients need to be concerned about hormones. Also, you report high-fat foods increase the risk of *breast* cancer. What about other forms of cancer? Is there any research demonstrating a correlation?

    • @shirlburris-fg8eq

Yes. My cancer doctor said you need to be. I had a full hysterectomy after two cancers. She told me cancers can come back after you've had a hysterectomy. Mine did plus a third. I'm 66 and doing chemo. The cancers can come back vaginally. And it's a burning pain with light bleeding. After first round it was already killing the cancer. Make sure you see your cancer gyn regularly.

@@dramycancerrecovery You can get Cancer from too much stored body fat. I have too much stored body fat because that can make a person produce estrogen. However you have to produce enough estrogen or you will get osteopenia or osteoporosis. I have my teeth & my gums to worry about. I don't want dentures or implants. Then if you lose too much bone you don't qualify for implants. At 63 years old I still have all my natural teeth. But my gums are slightly receded. I may need gum grafting done. My looks are a big concern of mine even at my age. I use to be really thin when I was younger back in my twenties. I weighed in the 90s. I didn't like weighing 100 lbs or over back then. And he killed over with a massive heart attack at age 38. He is still missed to this day. Life is just too short. One must have some simple pleasures. Oh, I do have toilet paper that smells like lavender. I refuse to believe that causes cancer. Anyway, sometimes one had to take certain advice with a grain of salt. @crazychinesewoman, please! Stop and think about what these doctors are telling you not to eat or drink. I have watched so many of these videos that I decided I’m going to stop. They are driving me crazy. And not one of these doctors bother to show proof of what they are saying. Just by saying there are studies to show this or that does not make it so. Not one doctor I have watched shows any proof. Just hearsay. You can do whatever you feel is best for you. I use half n half or heavy cream in my coffee. Another thing none of these doctors talk about is how the environment plays a part in one’s health. If we stopped eating and drinking everything a doctor says, we would be eating and drinking nothing. And what about the air we breathe? I’m sorry to go on such a rant. Please do what you want. I’m just not a person that has trust in doctors. Think about all the vaccines they are pushing that gave harmful side effects. Anyway, I think I’ve said enough. And I apologize if I have offended you in any way. Just please be careful and think about what you(we)are being advised to do. After all, there are natural cures for cancer that are never discussed. Take care and be well.

It could be a number of things, I can think of a few possible/potential reasons. Deli meats are said to often have bacteria or fungal species growing on them, including Candida. Candida overgrowth seems common in people with cancer and diabetes. (I even found out recently that pregnant women are recommended to heat up their lunchmeat to kill the bacteria??) Then, many of the meats are smoked, like someone mentioned, and smoked foods are known to be carcinogenic.
The processed meats also usually have additives and often times those additives are ingredients that are bad for health and some of them are even known to spike blood sugar and inhibit important good bacteria in our body. Some processed meats are also high in plastics too. Fresh cooked meat is different than all of these processed meats because it's not smoked, doesn't have other ingredients added, and you rinse and cook it to minimize and kill any leftover bacteria so that the bacteria don't enter the body alive. Meat is best to eat hot or heated, and part of this is probably because the unfortunately unhealthy living conditions of most animals and therefore most meats are high in Candida because those animals were unhealthy when they were being raised and likely had bacterial imbalances as a result. When I occasionally eat lunchmeat (in moderation) I rinse it & then heat it before I eat it

I had surgery, chemo and radiation for breast cancer. I try to use natural products and find out this info. I find this information very disturbing because no one has ever mentioned this to me before.

The ketogenic diet is supposed to be good to avoid cancer ,I had breast cancer and eating Red meats isn't advised ,so I only eat chicken and Turkey ,never touch sausage or bacon ,it gets so confusing, but intermittent fasting is highly recommended, I do 14 hours fasting and when I have finished chemotherapy, I will do 3 days water fasting, each month

@Debilee16 sorry to ask so many questions but when you do water fasting do you only have water? Can you use electrolytes? Do you use vitamins? I am wondering about doing a 3 day fast followed by keto with the restrictions you have mentioned above. That said I realize that I am responsible for my own decisions. Any advice you give is helpful but I am still 💯 percent responsible for my choices. Thank you sooooo much. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Some great info here, but you're wrong about juice. Assorted juices in small amounts is extremely healthy. Daily juice in small amounts helps retard Shingles&infections. Cranbery Juice stops e-coli from adhering to tissues This is important for aging men&saw palmetto works better with a little daily cranberry juice. Grape Juice has reservatrol that's good for the heart. High Pulp orange juice will have some bioflavanoids(vitamin p) to help to open cells for vitamin c absorption. You have a point about too much sugar, but in small amounts juice is extremely healthy for those without diabetes&it gives an energy boost. Also back to shingles. After age 40 anyone can get it. Daily Vit C makes shingles virus run.

Ok , ummm lavender and high fat dairy makes no sense to me sorry even if their is a studies on that still won’t believe it because they been used trough centuries by millions of people and it was good for them with no any harm, but what really matter is the quality you consume. The lavender need to be organic always and the dairy needs to be full fat pasture raised especially raw diary is the best!

Then how do you store your food? They have been using plastic containers for years. I never got Cancer before that. What about psychiatric medication? A lot of my friends got Cancer & died from being on these medicines. Because they increase your weight & expand your wasteline. I know because I was on it. Then I had radio active iodine done to my thyroid. After that is why I got Cancer because radiation kills healthy cells to. Thats why I did advise any women not to get that done to them unless they have graves disease. I didn't have graves disease I had a nudule that was noncancerous that was in my neck. Before the radiation done to my thyroid I never had any Cancer. This is ridiculous they store fresh produce in plastic bags. What do you do with that? I might as well quit eating period because there is nothing I can eat. I use to be at one time at 89 lbs when I was in my twenties. And weighed at 100 lbs at the heaviest. I definately didn't want to be any heavier then 130 lbs. I am at this point trying to lose weight because I am at least 30 lbs. Overweight.
