WOW. I don’t even know where to begin! There are too many things about this video that I love! Keep the butterflies, so gorgeous. The birdcage with the books inside was stunning. The paper machete bowl was so pretty. All the lamps were amazing. Keep the birds gold, otherwise you wouldn’t notice them and noticing is what you want! I don't want a cookie cutter home. I've always enjoyed having unique pieces for my home. I love your ideas. I have a worn out, weather beaten fence piece. I painted it like a flag. Well, a very worn flag. It's unique and I love it. It's big enough for 3 stripes and I have the perfect place for it.
Unique pieces have your thoughts in them and a story. I can remember my mom telling us where she bought things from at a yard sale. It's funny because now I find myself saying the same stuff. We are all so different and I want my home to reflect my personality. I really enjoy what you do for your home and your inspiration. ❤

Good afternoon, Bobbie! Yes, the eclipse was 94% here, so it was still pretty neat! My brother took his kids to our hometown in southern Illinois where it was a full eclipse.

My daughter sculpted a classmate's head in Terra Cotta clay. She gave me permission to paint it. Thanks for the idea, but I will go for a marble look with ivory and dark wax. I love the uniqueness of the butterflies in yours. I will tuck one into the hair of my sculpture after I paint it. (Terra Cotta is not a color in my decor, so I want to paint it.) I also brought my foyer light (lantern style like yoir back hallway) from my last house and filled it with a floral arrangement, adding seasonal touches on skewers. It is on my entry table.
I love that idea, too! What kind of dark wax do you use? Do you make your own with gray or black paint?

Yes I like the butterflies on the head better than the plant. Unexpected. And the birds should stay gold as it’s unexpected. Yes more unexpected styled videos. I think it goes along with a collected home. In my 20’s I had a coffee table made from a 5 panel door. But it’s taken me many years to get unexpected things in my decor. I just bought a very large H made from iron that was probably on a house. It’s chippy peely. It’s on my kitchen wall soon to be in my living room wall. I have a large colorful map of Iowa on my living room wall. Finally at 69 years old I want to decorate with more unexpected things. I’m having floating shelves built next to my fireplace to show off some of my collected finds. Keep em coming! The total eclipse in Dallas was amazing!

Yes to more unexpected decor ideas! I liked the sculptured head with the moss. The butterflies were beautiful but I prefer neutrals. Great idea to make books appear old by sanding the spines! Keep the birds gold as they are the star of the show! You’re one of my favorite TH-camrs!

I would love to see more of your ideas! The items you have found are elevated by the ways you present them. For example, the branch would just look like a branch if laid out on a shelf but tucked in among other items it is spectacular!

The head is so unique I think I would love to try that on my head that I was gifted from my grandaughter. The string of pearls keeps dying off in it anyways and this is so elegant.
