    I am afraid that all this planning to add to the current offering CFS compatibility, is to keep sales on these units moving. If they came out this early and said no it's not compatible, people would wait and sales would dry up. I won't be surprised to find it's too cost prohibitive and won't be pursued. No matter to me because I am enjoying my K1's and Creality is the reason I got into 3d printing...Cheers!

      I purchased the K1 Max with the hope/expectation that multi colour could be added to it. Now that they released the K2, without knowing any cost of a CFS upgrade, I think it’s pointless as the difference in cost of the K2 vs the used value (I assume 40% of new +/-) plus whatever the cost of the CFS is probably not a lot of cash.
      Might as well just buy the K2.

    As for the poopshoot at the back I guess they do that because they have the space there. One option is to connect the poopshoot to a drawer underneath so that the waste can be removed directly. Many have built this into their shelves as a DIY solution. Manufacturers could integrate it directly into their printers similar to the drawer that Creality has built into the Falcon 2 Pro or they could offer it as an accessory.

    I’m very keen to find out more information about the K2 plus.
    Not particularly interested in the multi filament system, however if the price is right, I would buy it as well.
    Question for you Sam and Creality. Will the K2 machines be capable print CF/exotic filaments and has a Ethernet port.
    Also will they be available in Australia for a reasonable price.

    • @TheRealSamPrentice

      Yes it’ll be able to print all the filaments suggested and I hear various others, with the 350 degree hotend and heated chamber. It does have the Ethernet port and there are various security features to that port. Has there been any info on how the ams/cfs system could work on the v3? I recently upgraded from v2 to v3 (early adopter!) but was on the fence with the BL A1. Couldn't wait so went for the simple route of v3. I really hope they used a thicker aluminum bed plate. That would solve so many leveling/first layer issues. I've got my K1 Max pretty dialed now (over 1,000 print hours) but still have to heat soak the bed before printing to be consistent. I put a thicker bed plate on and it was amazing. Unfortunately the silicone heater on it died and had to go back to original

    Question, Should I wait for the K2 Plus or go for a discounted K1c / Max?
    I want to look into the rabbit hole and get my first 3D printer, currently looking at the K1c and the K1 Max but the Max is a little tight for my budget, also guessing the K2 will be at or above the Max's price. Bambu seems hard to find in ZA so I don't really see that as an option.

    Looking at Anycubic new color system vs CFS and Bambu. The BL and CFS have motor driven spools and Anycubic does not have motor driven spools. The motor driven ones look like retract is quite long and takes a bit of time while the Anycubic uses four tubes to extruder, no driven spools and retract appears to be short with I guess the extruder during all the work. Can you comment on pro/con of the two methods?

    • @TheRealSamPrentice
      @TheRealSamPrentice  25 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      Well my concern is on the waste side, it’s really only tool head printers that’s seem to overcome the terror of the purge, Bambu more recently introduced a purge reduction method that looks pretty interesting while the Kobra 3 to
      Me looks like a rip on the A1. The cfs has a pushing mechanism on the back of the printer but still has drivers in the cfs unit. My experience on the Bambu is them over working and delaying my prints which is a little annoying. Let’s be fair until this system is treated to a real battering we simply won’t know how good it is, all of the footage coming out right now seems to have a Creailty engineer stood right next to it in case it craps out.

    I know it's bed-slinger vs an enclosed printer, but how does the k2 and or k1 compare to the ender 3 v3/plus other than sizes?
    I find that space seems to be a huge game changer and having the 'poop chute' on the rear of a printer now requires you to use more space... which for me invalidates their size dimensions if you need to throw a bucket behind the printer or even make some kinda slide going into a small metal can for disposal...
    That, and as much fun as it is saying you can print 16 colors... or 20...i imagine how much space that takes up simply to not have to change filament... it's only good for someone with an entire studio for only 3d printing to put it all in.
    Overall the k2 seems nice but it's it worth it over a k1 or k1 max? I think the k2 is kind of lax, same speed, few new features that you don't really need, and multicolor... which the majority of people printing will even buy if it isn't affordable.
    Thanks for the video, I'm only printing as a hobby, and make things for my other hobbies... i think the k1 max would be the next upgrade if anything (whenever my ender 3 v3 plus gets here).
    I'll be excited to see how they compare
    I just watched your ender 3 v3 plus video showing the extra y motor and small differences...
    Now... to wait the extra week it'll take for my printer to ship from the us warehouse :(

The worldwide market is ready for a change in how business is done. We could mention the apparent improvements and changes added to the k2 machine (k2 series?) like a longer filament tube outside the wire chain and how it doesn't hit the lid or the different x axis guide ways. How many people complained the filament mount on the k1 series was on the back of the cabinet and not on the side?

Great it works out of the box but not as well as it should without a proper profile. They particularly forget different nozzle sizes. It makes me suspect it gives the reviewers an out because they frequently say the problems in their prints are just due to a poor profile.

    Meh, the build size is nice over the K1 Max but the AMS system is last years or the year before news! People want less waste multi color options not more AMS systems! Can do 4 colors on a K1/MAx with a 3D Chameleon for $179 so not much groundbreaking here. This is a little better option with the poop shoot and you don't need some of you build plate for a purge block like the 3D Chameleon but it is only a marginally better option!

    Not having a heater in the CFS is pretty stupid. In higher humidity climates, a spool heater is a must for certain filaments. Ideally, 1 CFS would have 4 separate heated zones, but I understand this would be costly for a mid-level printer. Creality should have made each CFS to heat to a specific temp so you can print up to 4 different materials with 4 CFS units. Alternatively, to avoid copying Bambu, they could have made individual heated spool modules, so we can add a module as needed.
    On an unrelated note, did they make the build plate thicker? The K1 Max stock bed warps too easily.

      @TheRealSamPrentice  26 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Well anycubic managed the heater in there one. I agree with you tho! The bed appeared to be thicker on the k2

    You are the enemy of the rabid bambu-fan-boys herd. As a bambu user, I have to be very careful to not even insinuate that it may somehow be the machine when I ask for help . I actually feel that competition is good and if creality wasn’t there Bambu would command a huge premium. Another thing about competition is that if it is clean, it will drive much better products. But, right now, Bambulab machines are the apple of consumer 3D printing, so I am happy with it.

    Weirdly enough both (benchy and spiderman) multi-color prints were just a layer change print, at least the benchy for sure, and spiderman was so thin that you couldn't see the different color change on layers if any. A proper multi color print with 2/3/4 colors on the same layer would add more trust in the CFS / AMS unit!

    A 350×350 XY print area is really interesting, but why do you have to combine it with a height of 350 mm? As far as I'm concerned, it's very rare for me to exceed 100 mm in height. In the same vein, why always have a square bed? If one day a manufacturer made a printer with a print volume of 400×300×250 (XYZ) I'd probably be the first to buy it...
