Okay that glass door right off the bat 🤘🤘🤘 looking really impressive!!
Dude, you are famous if nothing else for that. LOL
They need to ship you a metal door 😅
well i did ask!!!
you will never hear the end of this joke lol
Someone needs to hurry up and invent the Star Trek transparent aluminum to have a truly Jessy-proof door that will still let you see your prints. 💜
LOL Uncle Jessy breaking that door , his face is still hilarious no matter how many times Ive seen it.
When I’m feeling depressed, I just watch that video
The 😮😮❤❤
Q3qqqqq❤a@@TheRealSamPrentice
Missed opportunity to do 5 filaments on the unit, would fit the bigger printer better too
this system is also made for K1 series, that's why
need to wait for bambu to come up with one first before they can copy it lmao
Sorry, had to pause the video to make this comment. But the way you closed the door is not going to shatter it. What shattered the door was when it swung outward and hinges applied a lot of pressure to the glass in a small area, that’s what shattered it. Closing it hard so that pressure is spread out across the sides of the glass isn’t going to break it as easily as two hinges in a small area. I’d be more impressed if you tipped the printer on the side like Uncle Jessie did and it didn’t break. Now, on to watching the rest of the video.
Well let’s get that footage recorded today then
How much and when will it be available?
@@fireman1776did you even watch the video?
I'm glad they responded here because I was thinking the same thing except that it was a bit shady that in order to test if they fixed the problem of the door breaking when it's opened to hard.... they close the door hard. Seeing his response let's me believe he just overlooked that detail instead of trying to hide it.
take care of your printer and you’ll never have to worry about it.
Great update, thanks for sharing and keeping us up to date on exciting new tech!
Ok Creality has my attention again. The heated chamber and the 350mm size kind of kills anything else out.
totally agree - size of this is amazing
It doesn't matter how big if it's buggy and breaks down and doesn't print well, then what's the point?
@@CaptainFettCosplaybecause Creality is more than 10 years in the game because their printers break down all the time?
@@Vinz3ntR their time in the game is irrelevant. Their quality control is terrible and their machines always have issues. Do you not remember the k1 mess? This type of machine is not supposed to be like an Ender or a CR-10 hobbyist machine for tinkering. It's supposed to challenge Bambu and just work. The K1 didn't. The K1 Max didn't either.
@@CaptainFettCosplay Sure thing but if you have experienced printers with heated chambers you know that a printer without one is like a printer without a heated bed was in 2015. You wouldn't buy one. Buying a printer without a heated chamber will soon be like buying a horse back when cars were becoming mainstream.
Hi Sam, on the live feed you just said that the new kit could be pre-ordered now, but there's nothing on the UK Creality site yet. Do you have a working link to the preorder pages, or can you tell us when there will be one?
Such innovation, much wow. That CMS is definitely something new and different that no one has done before
They say imitation is the greatest form of flattery.
I mean its creality what do you expect? Their current corexy are copied from bambu down to the name, the even added the “c” for carbon on their latest one which should’ve stood for “copy”. The hotend of this one looks different though with no fan in the front so lets see if it’s something they came up with or they managed to copy someone before they even released it
I almost missed the irony tags
User experience - that is the thing to be the most focused!
Great job, Sam! Really looking forward to seeing more on this.
Thank you !
Very interesting. Lot’s of stuff to look forward to. Quite a missed opportunity to not include a heater/dryer into the material system. Maybe it’s not too late?
I know right!!!
That would put this over the top for many. It would certainly be worth extra cost to consumers to not have to buy a separate filament drying system.
I heard it has an Active heater chamber
Bump this comment
I been waiting for this since end of last year when I first heard about it, great quick review, excited, need to make a built in file for a poop basket 🤔
45kg? thats a chunky boi
Since this is running klipper, on paper the CFS SHOULD work with pretty much any other printer running klipper right? Would be interesting if it does cus that means it may be a viable stand alone item.
Watch this space ;)
This is my curious question too.
apparently there's an upgrade kit coming for the K1/K1 Max to use the CFS.
@@boitmecklyn4995 ... where did you get that info?
It was on the live stream yesterday
With the rfid, is that going to be interchangeable or is it going to be that it's their filament only?
Looks awesome love the build size. Just purchased A p1s and ams but it was a bit pricey due to not much Supply in NZ. Creativity has a bigger Market in NZ so glad to see this unit coming soon :) (went with the bambu cos i needed multi color)
this printer seems to be my next step after I learn more about 3d printing. Just had the A1 mini for less than a week and I'm blown away, I definitely want a large printer next and having multicolor and enclosed seems to be great.
Wait and see what Bambu's offering is, the X2 Carbon is coming this year. Creality has a lot to prove with the K2 Plus before I would consider it over Bambu Lab
@@SNESChalmers147I would have to agree. Used Creality a fair bit but honestly Bambulabs is setting a damn high bar.
@@SNESChalmers147yes I agree. This looks good and I’m glad they are getting it out the door but I will wait to see if Bambu has a response.
@@SNESChalmers147any idea on timescales. I'm about to pull the plug on Bambu (first ever printer). Will the next one be a generational leap ?
I will be ordering this Sam. I think Creality has taken their time with this. Awesome video as usual
The chamber heater along with many of the quality of life improvement features makes this product look very promising. Just as i was giving up on Creality... Qidi and Bambu need to step up once this comes out.
Bambu Labs x1e has a heated chamber as well. Im thinking creality is gonna end up lacking on some key elements to price this low which will decrease the overall quality.
@@rp101aquatics6 lol X1E is $2500 and a rip off. RIP bambu lab
@@LilApe you can't say rip as if Bambu can't release their own advancements lol
@@rp101aquatics6 Rip bambu lab.
Looking Fantastic Sam. Looks Really Polished
Thanks!
How’s the print quality compared to bambu? I had a k1 for a short time and loved it but it had screen issues so I returned it and bought a bambu p1s. The print quality on bambu is just a little better. Curious how this k2 stacks up.
Cant wait to see some reviews and testing . Loving my K1 Max
I love how theyre making the CFS a finished product, rather than a random box that just sits on top
This is a great first look, Sam. I really like the temperature and humidity readout in the CFS. Given the continued issues I'm having with my K1 Max, though, I'm reserving judgement and will keep a skeptical eye on this.
What kind of issues were you having with that one? I've seen lots of good and bad experiences there
Its appearance looks good. The main thing I would love to see improved is the user experience. Auto calibration for filaments. Less ways for prints to fail for those not as experienced in printing. Plug and play basically.
Great info , thanks Sam
Sam, if you have any pull with the engineers, can you suggest to them to add a threaded insert hole pattern (or at least clear holes to add threaded inserts) for the poop chute so a printed bin or chute can be affixed to the back without modification or removal to the rear plate
I’ve had a chat with them today there are things I’d change like the usb and the position of the shoot. I’d like to see it at the front
@@TheRealSamPrentice While I agree with the USB location not being ideal, that's a lot easier to change with a ribbon cable or something internal than the location of a the chute. Multiple assemblies would be affected including software to move that chute location. And honestly, the chute location is fine IMO, just needs an attachment point for a printable bin or longer wrap around chute.
Is it multi-material or just multi-colour? Aycubic announced a similar multi-filament unit but their's looks like it only does multi-colour. Need to be able to mix and match filaments for soluble supports etc.
There’s another printer to add to my shopping list, loving the improvements and the 350x350x350 build area 🤩❤️🔥
It all looks good, let's hope that Creality has fixed VFAs and other issues of the K1/Max with the K2.
It was fixed with the k1c by using smaller gears
@@214ES Smaller gears and bigger rods too I believe
@@Reds3DPrintingthe also used smaller motors for some reason. you can get the gears for the k1 for like $9.
looks good love the reference to uncle jessy look forward to seeing his and frank built reviews
Is there any word on whether the multi-colour system will also be available for the k1 series?
yes, Creality said it would work with the current K and v3 Series
Holy Crap amazing. Sam again you hit it out of the park
He has yes as always ❤
I see u in lives, i see u here, i see u everywere
Nice! Can’t wait to do some side by side comparisons. 😊
Can't wait!
hey sam, great job with the 10th event today. congrats
Hey, thanks!
Is the hot end all metal? Are there hardened nozzles? How difficult is it to change nozzles?
if its anything like the k1 you'll have to wait till micro Swiss comes out with a hardened upgrade
Poor Uncle Jessy will NEVER hear the end of the door joke lmao
Nice, thanks for the review. I do wish the CMS is backwards compatible with the K1 series.
Creality's motto: "A step forward, not looking back, at your expense, Creality!" DONT BUY THIS SHIT, been using creality and switched to bambu lab A1 mini. no regrets.
It is. They're releasing kits for the rest of the K1 series.
Are you uploading any more detailed videos on this printer? I am really interested to some more details and test prints. First layer, ringing effect or some other calibration tests would help everyone understand the capabilities of the printer.
Any idea if the K2 will have the same belt drive gears as the K1C?
at 0:53
you point your finger at a DC input. Should be 24V. Is the CFS powered by the printer? If so, and if that applies to another 3 CMS, why should a DC input be installed there if you cannot operate the unit "without a printer"? In my opinion, this could mean that the CMS can heat up after all and couldn't there also be a humidity control?
Or is that the feed for the bypass filament? Doesn't look like it to me, but then where is the feed?
at 3:02
I recognize a humidity symbol on the touch display to the right below the representation of the 1D spool. What setting options come up when you press it?
Came for the k2 plus stayed for the cleaning lady! :) heh
Yay! Thank you!
@@TheRealSamPrentice I'm so intrigued by that dual Y stepper motor v3! I hope you cover it before leaving china! Ill have to really step up my game if I wanna get my hands on one to race it against the v3 and k1c >:)
It’s in the works
Very much looking forward to this machine. Using my X1 Carbon with the AMS is great but size has been a limitation for some designs I want to print in multiple filaments. This will be great to use and likely more in line for cost for myself and others.
Bambu will come out with a larger unit, watch.
Hi, when it will to go to market? Ordering 2 K1 Max in 1 month, wondering if i should hold off.
Will multicolor support will be for K1 MAx as well ?
Good to see a decent bed size. Been looking at Bambu but bed size has been the issue for me. This looks like the go to printer.
Will the multicolor work on the k1 series?
Will this release forces Bambu to release X1 XL?
I like how they went large with 350mm3 build plate.
Very interesting! Does the CMS have actively heated drying? Or is it just a monitor for temperature and humidity ?
Just a monitor, no drying unfortunately.
I literally just got a K1C 2 weeks ago, is the multi filament system going to be available for the K1C?
man i am so pissed rn.... i am thinking about getting a refund and buying the k2...
Where is the poop gonna go?
Is the 640mm height inclusive of the cms unit?
When will be able to preorder the k2?
wait so is the CFS not usable with the K1 line?
Anti Shatter Glass? Freaking amazing 😊
looks incredible for the price, really love the door
It’s funny that people care more about the door lol
...and now... I'm having buyer's remorse with regards to having purchased a K1, several months after release and still with all sorts of problems plaguing it.
This machine does look good. It'll be interesting to know what the price for it all will be and what the actual user experience outside of the marketing office/Engineering Lab will be like. 👍👍
merci pour cette review , belle machine , hâte d'en voir plus , merci ...........
any idea if the addon coming to ender 3 series?
So on the FB live stream a post said prices will be out at the end of July. So the current models have been reduced and I’m sure a sell off is happening to make room. The multi color system compatibility for the K1 series seems like a poop shoot will need to be added?
Does the CFS (or CMS) support multi-material or just multi-color of same material?
That's not CMS job to guarantee multi material support. Adhesion is performed by slicing software. CMS will feed whatever you want to.
I'm happy to see this emerging. My top question is price. Another key question is will they support rooting it?
Does it have a heated enclosure?
More interested in the qol updates over the ams. Looks promising.
Outstanding job on 10yr hosting ! Watched it all. I think they said CFS when available will have a retrofit kit to use on K and V3 series. Can you confirm and maybe share some pricing? No price mentioned for K2 Plus or CFS during the live 10YR.
Do you know if it has bed adjustment knobs underneath the bed similar to their older printers?
yes but not like other printers.
will there be an attachment for the k1 max for multi color printing? or only the k2?
Yep there will be
Bellissima stampante con un bel piatto di stampa grande!!!!! In piu multicolore!!! Spero che uscirà presto in vendita ❤😊
This is awesome! I cannot wait to see if this thing will be as good as hoped! Finally some real real competition! Now they just need to fix the app!
First time I've seen the Jessy glass breaking. Awesome.
Might get this since you can flash these with klipper 🤷♂️
Man I’m glad I waited to buy a new printer…almost pulled the trigger on the ARCO from Phrozen and this looks way more polished
Still have the lidar? They get rid of the nozzle cooling and only use the aux fans?
Only having aux fans on both sides is a good thing. That reduces weight in the toolhead which will help with input shaper results. I'd be worried about the noise levels though
I hope that you can also use the cfs with the k1c
I am most interested in seeing how they have implemented the software side of things and, if the K2 line is staying on klipper, how that multi spool system is configured and integrated. Also seeing what other lessons they may have learned from the K1 line in regards to the web interface and what the enthusiast part of the community is looking for.
the K1 line of things works great once your root the machine and use Orca, the Creality print just isnt tuned enough. the same model with same infill and layer height is so much better with orca. Creality should switch to Orca as the basis for creality print
Great video, is the multicolor system compatible with K1 and K1 Max??
Yup with upgrade
@@Makerboy.Projects great thx for answering
I am very eager to watch an in-depth review of the printer and what stuff it has that makes it work.
Are you also doing the 3 V3 Plus?
Impressive features!
Man that ams system seems nice!
They call it "CFS". 🙂
Is it the same terror noise like the K1?
Prime tower, its not a purge tower, its used for priming the nozzle
Well if he knew anything about 3D printers, he wouldn't be shilling for creality.
Looks Awesome, I wish I could afford one...... My Ender3V2 drives me crazy, time to get a new one.
Stuck with my Ender 3 V1 for a while, finally bought a Bambu Lab P1S, Ender 3 became a paper weight
if the multicolor works as well as bambu labs this will take the market with this build size. any idea what the price range will be, i hope its competitive with the p1s and ams combo, if its the x1c an ams combo it will knock alot of ppl out of getting it, thats what made me go with the p1s over the x1c was being able to get the ams with it for less than the x1c alone. ive been loving my p1s tho an my only complaint about it so far has been wishing the build volume was 300x300 instead of the 250x250 an when it comes to printing multicolor u cant do the full 250 cause u have to have room for the purge tower an im always forgetting about the purge tower. cant wait for this to hit the market.
Creality is turning up the heat.
Looks great! Any mention of a Max size?
I now have, in addition to my new K1C, and K1 Max, I have about 5 more bed slingers that I am either going to donate to family and friends. All of them are out of warranty, so I’m going to update them with wi fi, on at least 3 of them, like a Tronxy XY-3, a Mingda Rock 3, a Voxelab Aquila,Mingda D2, and a Creality Ender 3, that I am wanting to upgrade to a Ender Extender 400. I would like to test out the new K2, and see what it is like, when it is released. I emailed Creality on it, but I haven’t received any response back yet.
Does CFS have in-built filament dryer and there is no need for the external dryer?
Unfortunately not :(
@@TheRealSamPrentice Then what is that temperature reading on the screen? what’s the purpose of it?
@meetpatel4225 humidity sensor and temperature
More interested in the CFS + K1 max upgrade kit.
I’m with you there
That took long enough. Excited to see us finally entering a MMU war.
Any idea how thick the bed is? Is it cast aluminum ?
5mm
Why not step up the CFS to 5 since it is wider and looks like it can support it?
Is the cms open source/regular klipper?
Well kind of as you’ll need to have an interface between the system and klipper so…
@@TheRealSamPrentice an interface like another mcu
I'm never gona buy a bambu because it is not open source...
But this K2 I will probable buy it, since creality has consistently released the file os its printers...
Cant wait!
Yeah but is the CMS compatible with the k1 series of printers? I like my K1C and don't need a giant build volume
I wouldn't want to buy another printer at this current time, but the CMS is interesting if compatible with the k1 printers
It is compatible. They're releasing kits and we'll probably need to change a few things like the toolhead etc...
@@mackinsvii9022 yeah i was looking at my k1c it seems like the rear fan could be removed and replaced for a poop chute and nozzle wiper, interesting stuff
Did you see any color prints that were more than a color change at certain layer height?
hands free auto bed leveling with lidar is a must.. hopefuly the will change the design
Interesting why is lidar so important to you?
What if instead of pooping out the filament, it printed the transition color in the infill, that way your not wasiting the filament and you wont see the different color in the print (will vary of course with different parts)
Very good idea. I tcould also calculate what remains in the tube and switch colour before it actually needs it, to reduce waste. This will not work for small changes though.
Will the ams system backward compatible with K1 Max? Hate having to buy another printer since I just bough this one.
yes it will
Yes!! I did, did I miss something?
Will the multy material system ve compatible with the k1 series?
When that upgrade is released yes
