This was my first 3d printer and I bought it mainly because it had the features I needed for only $75 more than the base version. The printer is very easy to use for a newbie and has many security measures that make it easy to use.
Looks like a really solid machine at a low price. I like the linear rail, dual Z rods, direct drive and auto bed leveling. Budget 3d printing is so much better now then it was 3+ years ago.
Yes, this is my very first 3d printer and after overcoming few beginner's challenges it is pretty impressive. I print 99% functional stuff for my Finch setup and it's been fantastic. Machine itself works flawlessly it's just nozzles I have to pay attention to.
I have an SE and my friend has a KE, neither of us have had a single problem with using it. We're both robotics engineering students so most of our parts are PLA, PETG and TPU which all print fine off both printers. Her KE is definitely significantly faster but both seem very reliable and easy to use.
Why I love it? Because after a very simple assembling, its a plug n play 3D printer. Using Creality Print you can slice and print using wifi. Very fast and reliable.
Love the "out of the box" experience is improved. Would also encourage (if they haven't already) to have companies to create (or have content creators create for a company) good maintenance/tuning videos. That way there is great foundation of educating, if that needs to be addressed. That's what we strive for. The best experience and the best prints.
Running klipper on a pretty modified v2 and it's brings so much new life into printers. So happy to see it becoming more popular. Just switched from cura to orca, loved curas interface and why I used it. Orca nails it, adding more features, and one click printing for klipper which is fantastic
I have the k1 max and the qidi x max 3 and the KE. The KE is the most reliable out of them all. I use orca and klipper with it and it just doesn't disappoint.
My V3 KE Printer arrived with a faulty CR-Touch sensor. Took a month to resolve that. 8 weeks later the Y limit switch failure and no response from support. Bed must also be warped beyond what auto-levelling can cope with, as it kept burying the nozzle and wound up coating the hot-end in melted filament (and filled the sock). Going for a high-end (non-Creality) printer next. Really appalled at Creality customer service.
I have a Bambu Lab P1S and absolutely love it. I came from a Anycubic Kobra and a heavily modded Ender 3 V2. The jump was staggering. Those two printers are now retired and I'm now needing another prnter to supplement my P1S for quick and small prototypes. Assuming build volume isn't a concern (for me), would you recommend the Ender 3 V3 KE or the Bambu Lab A1 Mini? I believe they're the same price if you don't get the AMS. Which I don't need.
300mm/s is super common, in-fact a couple of my prints over the past month or so have been at 300mm/s - everything has changed in the last 12 to 18 months - extruders are moving more material, heat creep is becoming less of an issue as heater efficiency is increasing. Even high-speed filaments are having an impact as they melt and cool quicker and more evenly.
I've had mine for 4 days now and I'll be honest with you... it was a pain in the ass the first 3 days... here's why: 1.- The Printhead was heavily bent frontwards for some reason... it seems the printer had some rather heavy boxes over it at the warehouse which bent the whole printhead assembly. 2.- It gave me error code 2941 as soon as I switched it on and tried to auto level and Z Axis calibration. 3.- After 5 or 6 prints it got a weird extrusion unit clog and I couldn't load filament to it anymore. BUT! and here's the BIG BUT (hehe).... all of those issues.... at least for me... were SUPER EASY to fix! and what I LOVE about this printer is the fact that you can literally take the whole thing apart and then put it back together! So here's what I did: 1.- The printhead was bent for some reason... if you drew a straight line touching the lowest part of it, you could measure around 15° angle.... so I looked for a video on how to disassemble the whole print head unit (there's a Creality named channel that has service video tutorials for all of the printers), took out the print head metal assembly (the one that screws to the X Axis rail) and using a pair of pliers and some microfiber cloth to protect the paint from scratching I bent that MF back... it wasn't perfect and I still have less than a 1° degree angle... I would say it's like 0.0001° or so... it super minimal... but I got it to almost 90°. 2.- After bending the printhead back to almost 90° voilà! all weird Z Axis errors went away! :D It seems the printhead was so bent forward that the sensor the nozzle also has caused the system to freakout and always fail the calibration process. 3.- Since I've already taken the printhead apart... I had knowledge on how to take the extruder out... so I did and the thing is super easy to take apart too! 3 screws and the thing opens like a book! So I did that, removed the extrusion hardened steel cogs and found the filament clog between the cogs and the tube that leads to the hotend... used a hot needle and took that sucker out... DONE! FIXED! The thing I'm trying to say is, this machine or any other machine, be it Bambu Labs, Creality, Prusa, etc will never be perfect and will have their fair share of hiccups... but what I love about the Ender 3 V3 KE is that it's so serviceable that if you like to tinker or have some basic knowledge of taking apart machines... you can easily fix the things yourself... and if you have no idea what to do there's great communities out there willing to help! Also, spare parts can be found for reasonable prices at your mayor online retailers. This is great printer and I hope everyone gives it a chance! Great video review! I now want to try printing flexible materials thanks to you! haah
Have you seen Snapmaster 2.0 F250 and F350, print only? Can’t find any real reviews. I’m 73 and looking for my first printer. Dealing with the files and software is my big concern. I really like your reviews.
Can this print multi-color - since there's no AMS, can the first layer be printed in color a, then a filament change and finish printing in color b on the same piece? If not, I may have to move up to the Bambu A1 with AMS.
I have just been burned by creality too much. All 6 printers I got from them only functioned as advertised for about a month before falling apart in some form or another.
If you have the budget, the A1 mini is the best experience in 3D printing right now between your choices. The KE is a great choice, second to the A1 mini.
Bought one a month ago... Had 2 problems, the first I sorted myself the second caused absolute mayhem and has led to a printer fit for the bin. Why do Creality use hot glue on the connections on the header pcb board. I had a blob of death that killed the hot end and led to one of the cable connectors on the pcb header coming away due to hot glue. Purhaps Creality could make spare parts easier to get here in the UK... But due to the fact they make so many variants of boards etc it's hard for them to do. Stear clear of the KE.
My first 3d printer was an anet a8. Then I upgraded to an anycubic chiron. Then I got out of the hobby. Nice to see a creality printer finally saying "let's make the experience a nice one" finally hahaha
Yeah you say that, mine worked for 10 hours now just comes up with an error code and after trying all the fixes I found online for the error code still nothing, I’ll be sending mine back tomorrow and I’ll be buying something that’s not from ender…
Im a total beginner, so can i ask what brand filaments you recommend. Ive had my KE about 10 days and have only used ender black PLA, i have not used the small sample of ender Ultra PLA either. Should i install vanilla klipper? And lastly which Slicer do you recommend besides Creality print?
I watched this review when looking for a first 3D printer. So I purchased the Creality KE. It has been awesome and has been running non stop for the last week. Then saw the video about the Bambu A1. For longevity, which would you recommend?
I agree that the setup out of the box is great for most prints, but even a very small amount of error can ruin the functionality of mechanical parts with tight tolerances, such as bushings, and small gears 0.1mm can be the difference between a part that spins perfectly, or one that ceases up every half rotation
I'm trying to pause a print with the ender3 v3 KE just like you did. It's does not seems to work either with the touch pad or by placing the PAUSE command in the gcode. Either way the printer head retract itself, drop the filament temperature to 140 and then resume printing right away. Since the temperature does not go back to 220, the print fail with a 2111 error message. I'm on the lastest firmware : V1.1.0.13.
I noticed STL was mentioned. I just got this machine and have to put it together…I’ve never used one. I just bought some STL files from Etsy. Why am I getting the feeling these won’t work ? Any pointers would be beyond appreciated! Thanks
I'm thinking of buying this printer as my second machine. You stated that this KE is compatible with all slicers, but I've been reading a lot of Reddit posts about people having issues getting or creating profiles for this printer in Cura or Prusa Slicer. If I wanted to use Cura after purchasing this, could you point me in the direction to set it up properly?
I'm currently waiting for this printer to be shipped to me, looking forward to it! Quick questions: the SainSmart TPU link takes me to a 95A hardness version of this material, is this what you tested? Would it be posible to go a bit softer, or maybe it's not recommended? Which max. print speed is recommended for printing 95A TPU with this machine? ThanX a lot, great review!!
I like your reviews, can you do one with an enclosure, i would like to print abs which is temperature sensitive and more suited for an enclosure set up. I am looking at this one K1 Speedy 3D Printer Combo, thanks
I have an ultimaker 2+ at present, things are moving towards more speed and still maintaining quality, i was looking into a bambu, but my friend told me about the creality and how happy they are with it and how they are so much cheaper too. I lijke the versatility of my um2+, easy change nozzle and run any material, i have printed flexi, which i have to print half speed of pla or abs, because of the bowden, so i am interested of the print speed of tpu/flexible and whether i can print abs, which can be difficult
How did you pause to swap filaments? I couldn't find a way to do it. Usually I use Pause At Height in Cura but this machine doesn't yet work with Cura.
@@spartan2451 I guess you just cut the filament when you want to change color. The sensor pauses the printing, you replace the filament with another color and you continue printing
I am currently tied between two different models, the Creality Ender 3 V3 KE and the Elegoo Neptume 4 Pro for our first home 3d printer. I am slowly leaning towards this one, but not a 100% certain. Right now I am still watching reviews and waiting to see if there will be any easter sale. What's your take on brand customer service and reliability, is one more favorable?
I don't own (iet 🤞LOL) Creality ender 3 v3 KE but I own Elegoo Neptune 3 Pro and I can tell You, is not even close to the Creality KE so if if You can take it ...
@@LoyalMoses I ended up going with the Creality Ender 3 KE and Rooted the machine running Fluidd/Orca. Couldnt be happier, now I am looking into 300 x 300
The only problem I'm having with my KE is that the gantry doesn't appear to be square, so tall, skinny prints have a lean to them. I'm just afraid to screw with it to try to fix it. Not to mention it only impacts a specific type of print, so it's not a HUGE deal.
@@LoyalMoses Not much; maybe a degree? But it's enough that my prints of the SpaceX Startship/Booster all failed because the parts joined with a noticeable bend at the joints. For the Booster I was able to rotate every other segment 180 degrees and get a roughly straight ship, but I had to pre-join the Starship to get anything close to normal. :( It's my first printer, so I really don't want to risk breaking it.
I’m fairly new to 3d printing, is a core xy machine better for bed adhesion than a bed slinger? I seem to be having adhesion issues with my Ender 3 machine lately, mostly PLA and it’s the S1 pro I believe
I'm a complete noob when it comes to 3D printing, for quite a while I didn't see a lot of point in having one, but not so long ago it dawned on me how beneficial one could be to me. I have a car that is a classic in age but not so old that it doesn't have a lot of plastic trim and such. Because it's getting older some of the plastic components are becoming more and more brittle and are impossible to replace, hence my new found interest in 3D printing :) I've been looking at and reviewing a good number of entry level 3D printers for a quite a few months now and was on the cusp of buying one only to find it was discontinued and also I read online through other review articles, and TH-cam videos, that 2024 would bring new things. And it looks as if it has :) This printer is now looking very much like it will be the go to printer for my needs, previously it was the Sovol SV07. I'm not sure there's a whole lot of difference between them, I'll have to do a comparison. The Creality might take the prize though :)
Did your printer have solid bed? I think there are printers with loose Y bearings (could be undersized rods) leading to the bed rotating moving up and down at speed -> ruins print quality. Z frame mounting to plastic base with heat inserts from top does not feel very forgiving for tightening the bolts or long time endurance. But this printer still feels like value for money :)
I bought the SE just because I'm new to this world and didn't really know the advantages of the KE. Now I want a KE just because the WIFI printing. Transferring the files with with a SD card is soo inconvenient....
@@LoyalMoses Yeah overall I'm pretty happy with the prints of the SE, the printer is running fine. The only thing I want to try is upgrade the model fan. Since if mainly blows on the right side, in one specific print it became very obvious the lack of cooling in the left side overhangs.
@@LoyalMoses I’m a beginner in 3D printing so I wouldn’t even be sure if I was having a problem :D I was mainly concerned if it would create a problem though. I’ll try to tune my printer today but they all require rooting which I’m not very familiar so I’ll look into that, thanks!

Just stumbled upon your videos yesterday. Looking into 3 printers. I looked at this one, but based on your thoughts on the Artillery Sidewinder X3 Pro, I just purchased the X4 pro. Hope I made the right choice 😬
thanks for the vid. I am looking to start 3d printing spaceship models, battlestar galactica, star trek, star wars, tec. This looks like a good one to get. Are there any others you might recommend?
Love the video, was thinking of getting the KE but found out that the flashforge adventurer 5m was on sale for $300 and I wanted to try a core xy so went with that one 😅 really making me rethink with this video though
Those are vastly different machines. Different build volume, completely different cooling, different leveling system, dual-z vs single-z, different hotend, and on and on.
I've not tested an SV06, but have heard great things about them, especially compared to Prusa MK3s (which I have several). This Ender KE is a NICE machine, fast and solid, I like it a lot.
The printer itself is great. WI-FI will not stay connected. I have tried everything. Contacted support, 3 weeks to get back to me no help. Downloaded the newest version of Creality Print this morning. It won't open any files. Such a great printer, everything else about it really sucks. User experience has been awful.
@@LoyalMoses After all these months, I got Wi-Fi working this morning. It was an IP issue. Had to fix it through the router. I still can't get files to open in the new version. Progress anyway.
have you tried to slice with cura? if so and it worked how did you get it to work? mine said unexpected error when I loaded the cura file from usb and started to print. there was not a printer profile so i used the se version and it didn't work.
At least for begginner friendly printers the M5C is so much better am and cost only 350$ (if you use the free coupon provided) and 320$ when on sale, it's another level, build quality is like you probably have never seen, quality app too. 3 fans too. Had it for a while and just as a begginner really happy, though you need to use their slicer to use it online/drag the gcode to the slicer
Makes me wonder why the Ender 3 S1 was $400. Bambu gave a real kick in the butt to these companies who had become complacent and lacked innovation while milking us with cosmetic levels of upgrades.... now in 2024, everyone has or will have 500mm/s bed slingers lol
So many people in the comments in other videos are so preferring my to buy the bambu a1 when it's more expensive unless I buy the mini but smaller dimensions. Their insane pressure of discouraging me to buy ender. Hard to trust review videos. I wonder if comments are AI too. I really want to buy ender because many video reviews knows how to upload misinformation because I can confirm it myself.
As a digression I see you do not subscribe to the myth that filament must be stored in a sealed airtight container.......judging by the amount of filament stored out in the open on the shelf behind you.
My V3 KE arrived today and it was printing TPU perfectly right out of the box. It's such a step up from my 3 year old Ender 3 Max that needed quite a few mods to print TPU. Prints that would take all day now just take 3 or 4 hours. I couldn't be happier with it. Since I'm disabled, all of the quality of life additions like auto bed levelling and remote start and monitoring are game-changing for me. My back and shoulders are so grateful that I'm not having to contort myself into the back of the enclosure to adjust the rear bed levelling screws any more - especially when I'm using an 85C bed for PETG!
This was my first 3d printer and I bought it mainly because it had the features I needed for only $75 more than the base version. The printer is very easy to use for a newbie and has many security measures that make it easy to use.

I just did pause and manual swaps, also runout sensor offers filament change.
@@LoyalMoseshow?
@@spartan2451 I guess you just cut the filament when you want to change color. The sensor pauses the printing, you replace the filament with another color and you continue printing
Surprised to hear about the glue stick. I don't need any for PLA. I did need it to make PETT stick though.
Yeah, my PLA stuck crazy good after I cleaned it with soap and water.
The Creality printer is better, but their after sales support is garbage. Elegoo has an incredible support
Did you decide?
@@LoyalMoses I ended up going with the Creality Ender 3 KE and Rooted the machine running Fluidd/Orca. Couldnt be happier, now I am looking into 300 x 300
The only problem I'm having with my KE is that the gantry doesn't appear to be square, so tall, skinny prints have a lean to them. I'm just afraid to screw with it to try to fix it. Not to mention it only impacts a specific type of print, so it's not a HUGE deal.
Oh wow. How much is it off do you think?
@@LoyalMoses Not much; maybe a degree? But it's enough that my prints of the SpaceX Startship/Booster all failed because the parts joined with a noticeable bend at the joints. For the Booster I was able to rotate every other segment 180 degrees and get a roughly straight ship, but I had to pre-join the Starship to get anything close to normal. :( It's my first printer, so I really don't want to risk breaking it.
Dang it. I totally get you not wanting to break it.
I’m fairly new to 3d printing, is a core xy machine better for bed adhesion than a bed slinger? I seem to be having adhesion issues with my Ender 3 machine lately, mostly PLA and it’s the S1 pro I believe
The motion system doesn't affect bed adhesion.
I'm a complete noob when it comes to 3D printing, for quite a while I didn't see a lot of point in having one, but not so long ago it dawned on me how beneficial one could be to me. I have a car that is a classic in age but not so old that it doesn't have a lot of plastic trim and such. Because it's getting older some of the plastic components are becoming more and more brittle and are impossible to replace, hence my new found interest in 3D printing :)
I've been looking at and reviewing a good number of entry level 3D printers for a quite a few months now and was on the cusp of buying one only to find it was discontinued and also I read online through other review articles, and TH-cam videos, that 2024 would bring new things. And it looks as if it has :)
This printer is now looking very much like it will be the go to printer for my needs, previously it was the Sovol SV07. I'm not sure there's a whole lot of difference between them, I'll have to do a comparison. The Creality might take the prize though :)
Exciting! Thanks for sharing!
I just got one just a little confused about printing tpu it doesint seam to work
Join our discord, we can easily help you there!
This printer is FANTASTIC for the money! Highly recommend.
I bought the SE just because I'm new to this world and didn't really know the advantages of the KE. Now I want a KE just because the WIFI printing. Transferring the files with with a SD card is soo inconvenient....
Yes, that can definitely be nicer! How is your SE running though? You like it?
@@LoyalMoses Yeah overall I'm pretty happy with the prints of the SE, the printer is running fine. The only thing I want to try is upgrade the model fan. Since if mainly blows on the right side, in one specific print it became very obvious the lack of cooling in the left side overhangs.
You can add a nebula pad to your SE, to give it a lot of the KE features, so you can WiFi print on your SE
I just got this printer. Top left part of the bed is offset by -0.73 while the rest sit below -0.5. Should I be fixing this? If so, how do I do it?
The mesh leveling should take care of that, not a problem at all. Have you been having issues or just concerned?
@@LoyalMoses I’m a beginner in 3D printing so I wouldn’t even be sure if I was having a problem :D I was mainly concerned if it would create a problem though. I’ll try to tune my printer today but they all require rooting which I’m not very familiar so I’ll look into that, thanks!
Oh! Try not to mess with them too much like that until you have a little more experience. Join our discord if you'd like some tips and help!

Just stumbled upon your videos yesterday. Looking into 3 printers. I looked at this one, but based on your thoughts on the Artillery Sidewinder X3 Pro, I just purchased the X4 pro. Hope I made the right choice 😬
Oh! The x4 lineup is great! Video soon!
Is this printer loud? Also can you pause prints?
It's not a LOUD printer by comparison, but the fans are louder than a normal machine.
It's loud enough to consider it having it's own room for long print sessions, especially overnight

Hi, if i can get CR-10 SE with the price of this KE, Which one should i get. I can buy it for $284 shipped locally to Malaysia.
KE is a NICE machine!
Just found your vids. How did you use 2 colors on the ke?
Manual swaps. Pause and change filament or cut and remove it from the filament runout sensor and you are presented with a filament change option.
thanks for the vid. I am looking to start 3d printing spaceship models, battlestar galactica, star trek, star wars, tec. This looks like a good one to get. Are there any others you might recommend?
The KE, SE, V3 are all amazing Creality machines.
I just bought one from Micro Center for 206 open box. It will print along side my Ender 3 V3 Se. I am saving money for a Bambu Lab.
Damn, wish we had Microcenters in England. I paid £250 ($315) for mine from the official website, and that's with a 15% discount
NICE!
With an external enclosure added, can you print polycarbonate?
PC is going to require some additional temps, so likely not the printer for that.
I bought a 100$ Tronxy X1 10 years ago and it lasted 10 years... I think ill upgrade to this.
Very cool!
I bought the other new Ender machine the Creality CR-10 SE. 😜
Awesome!
Love the video, was thinking of getting the KE but found out that the flashforge adventurer 5m was on sale for $300 and I wanted to try a core xy so went with that one 😅 really making me rethink with this video though
I've heard great things about that Flashforge!
How can i print from thingaverse with this printer?
Download the STL file and use your preferred slicer!
@LoyalMoses I have an STI Subaru but probably won't work. Also have Work wheels staggered. I get boost creep when I exceed 5400rpm
So this is a elegoo neptune 4 pro. Or am I missing something.
Those are vastly different machines. Different build volume, completely different cooling, different leveling system, dual-z vs single-z, different hotend, and on and on.
I've got the SE fantastic!!
never got the Creality Ender 3 to work
Sorry to hear that!
Would this be a good first 3d printer??
Yes, the SE or KE are good machines!
What about Creality CR 10 SE
I've not used the CR 10
How is this compare to the sovol sv06?
I've not tested an SV06, but have heard great things about them, especially compared to Prusa MK3s (which I have several). This Ender KE is a NICE machine, fast and solid, I like it a lot.
The printer itself is great. WI-FI will not stay connected. I have tried everything. Contacted support, 3 weeks to get back to me no help. Downloaded the newest version of Creality Print this morning. It won't open any files. Such a great printer, everything else about it really sucks. User experience has been awful.
That’s terrible, sorry to hear that!
@@LoyalMoses After all these months, I got Wi-Fi working this morning. It was an IP issue. Had to fix it through the router. I still can't get files to open in the new version. Progress anyway.
Will you be doing Anycubic Kobra 2 series?
I imagine we will!
Ender V3 Max nea or This Ender V3 KE?
Not had the max yet, so not sure!
Hey LM,
Do you have a discount code for us loyal fans?
Thanks!
I wish I did!
Does this one has klipper?
Yes, it is Klipper.
have you tried to slice with cura? if so and it worked how did you get it to work? mine said unexpected error when I loaded the cura file from usb and started to print. there was not a printer profile so i used the se version and it didn't work.
I have not yet. I am not a cura user for the most part.
TPU THE WORLD
At least for begginner friendly printers the M5C is so much better am
and cost only 350$ (if you use the free coupon provided) and 320$ when on sale, it's another level, build quality is like you probably have never seen, quality app too. 3 fans too. Had it for a while and just as a begginner really happy, though you need to use their slicer to use it online/drag the gcode to the slicer
Love to hear it! We have the M5C here in the studio, video coming soon!
I wish I had more courage to print in TPU...
What is holding you back?
Nice printer, I like it.
It really is! 💜
Makes me wonder why the Ender 3 S1 was $400.
Bambu gave a real kick in the butt to these companies who had become complacent and lacked innovation while milking us with cosmetic levels of upgrades.... now in 2024, everyone has or will have 500mm/s bed slingers lol
Absolutely! Competition is great, and it’s making it better for all of us!
Ke is a great machine, but also that A1 is amazing
So the neo with klipper?
Quite a few differences over the Neo
@@LoyalMoses guess I wasn't paying enough attention
I am going to assign you some homework!
Fantastic! This makes me happy to hear.
1:29 the Estonian flag colors, nice!!!
Cool!
Nice overview, another solid choice in the pantheon of 2024 printers.
Agreed!
KE = Klipper Edition
Yeah, lots of people have been saying that, obvious but I couldn't find anything on the Creality website.

Oh…I can tell already….these videos are going to be very bad for my wallet! ❤
