@littlesthepitbull The reason they caution against copper peptides with tretinoin is that copper peptides, the regular ones, not the encapsulated ones, can cause a flushing/blushing effect increasing blood flow and increasing the efficacy and side effects of the tretinoin. I'd love it if you made a review of the Theramide C-Tetra E.F. I've been using it over the summer and can't quite form an oppinion on it. I've heard great things about tetra-vitamin C since I can't use pure ascorbic acid (the G&G C-glow burns my skin). I am in dire need of a good derivate. Love how detailed your reviews are, been a long time watcher
You should check the forms of copper peptides used. Theramid recently changed theirs (to a cheaper one) and both CAIS and CAIL, use different ones. One being chelated with better stability and one lipid with its own benefits.
I'm wondering if the addition of palmitic acid in the NIOD ones could be what caused my breakouts from it? I hadn't thought of that before. I'd love to know where both brands source their raw peptides from and what country they come from, purity, etc.
@@NOBSBeauty AFAIK the lipid form was/is developed by Deciem. Most of the raw copper (possibly all) peptide comes from either China or India, as with many raw cosmetic ingredients these days. Can't really compete otherwise.
Oh thank you so much for being the one to tell me about this brand!! I picked up a ton of their other stuff too. Cannot wait to review that too. So jealous that you live in Italy! Wonderful country and such smashing food and wine 🤗

I'm super impressed at how the cut is healing now, I tried to do it everyday but I forgot it for a few days and I noticed it wasn't healing as fast and beautiful anymore. I use it at least every other day now and the wound is looking quite nice, I don't think it's going to leave a bad scar after all!!
I can’t find in product description, whether the copper peptides in this, are encapsulated. If they are, I’m less worried about layering it with Tretinoin. Have you used this at night with Altreno? It sounds like you don’t mix them, and I think you may not be using your Tret while you’re testing out the remedy for dark spots. I was so excited to use Remedy for dark spots until I saw it had retinol in it, and they are recommending alternate days with your Tretinoin. If I have to alternate days with that, copper, peptides, and my AHA/BHA peel pads. I would never get to use my tretinoin. 😂At that point, I have to choose what’s the most important. I would really like to try this & Remedy for dark spots but only so many days in the week.
Does this contain anything that is contraindicated for people with pre-skin cancers or that have had them before? Like growth hormones or growth factors? If it does could you recommend a powerful peptide serum without them? Thank you, and I love your channel❤
Thank you for the great advice in this video! I'm always unsure on layering with copper peptides, so I tend to keep it simple, but I find that frustrating, because I love both copper peptides and skincare!
I know what you mean, I've found that copper peptides are well worth changing my routine up a bit. Today my skin was super irritated and this serum really helped calm it down.
Did you notice a difference between the XL and normal version? In the reviews on the website people claim that the XL version is a light lilac and not a dark blue like the original one. Theramid claims that doesn't effect it's efficacy but at the same time in the small print it says: "Due to our constant striving for innovation and the availability of raw materials due to the current situation, there may be slight changes in the percentages and/or nomenclature of the ingredients, so the INCIs may vary depending on the production batch." Sounds fishy, don't you think?
Interesting, for me it seems like the blue tone is the same for me. Perhaps they changed suppliers for the copper peptides? I've bought a lot of raw copper peptides and each supplier has their own unique shade and tone.
@@NOBSBeauty That's good to know, thank you. I just had to think of it as currently there's a little "scandal" in the German skincare community. A couple of companies have been selling retinal products with allegedly high concentrations of 0.15%. Their formulations are white / clear but since retinal is of bright yellow/ orange colour, people got suspicious. Now it turned out there's basically no retinal in the products. And of course the companies are all saying they didn't know of anything and the supplier tricked them lol.
@@attilaaluhut6250 Wow, the Transparent Lab's (which is made by the same Niche Beauty that produces Theramide) Retinal Age Reversal Cream looks totally white on their product photos. That made me think - does it even contain retinaldehyde? Can I assume it doesn't as much as it claims? Some might say it's because it's encapsulated, but if I compare it to a Slovenian brand Miss Alice, who also sells retinal serums, theirs look incredibly yellow, while Transparent Lab's completely white.
Hi, Sarah😀You have to try the Theramid retinoid f you haven't ordered it yet, it is as good as the copper peptide, don't even get me started on the azid serum, lol, this company is a winner!
I have definitely experienced irritation with copper peptides. I believe from a combo of my tretinoin use, salicylic acid toner and my workplace, I work at a pool, so I get a lot of exposure to chlorine. The sensitivity lasted a few days. I usually use my Farmacy BHA toner morning and night, even with my tretinoin. It's very gentle in my experience and this is the first I've dealt with any sensitivity while using it. I forgot to ditch the toner with the copper peptides and it really kicked up the sensitivity. Then I encountered sensitivity after using copper peptides the morning after tret (.05%). I use it probably 4-5 nights a week so it's definitely more heavy use. I've never dealt with much sensitivity, I think I have very tolerant skin. The stronger Ordinary copper peptide definitely has a bigger kick to it and you really do have to be careful. I wasn't nearly as careful with actives while using a sample of peach and Lily's because I totally forgot, but I never had any sensitivity. I do absolutely think it's worth it, but I would definitely recommend using it very cautiously, like tretinoin.
Did I misunderstand or are you saying the Ordinarys 1% copper peptide serum is stronger than this Theramid 3%? I haven’t tried either, but wasn’t going to try the ordinary one as i’ve heard many complaints about the tackiness leaves on the skin and was leaning towards ordering this. Thanks for clarifying. I hope the irritation dies down for you. I certainly have been there. I tolerate tretinoin really well but ever since I started it, I’ve had major issues with sunscreen. I can’t wear mineral sunscreens, so I just ordered a bunch of chemical ones from overseas and I’m hoping to find one that doesn’t seriously irritate my skin. I never had sensitive skin before tretinoin and haven’t had any reactions to it, but once I put on the sunscreen, even before leaving the house, my skin looks like it has a red chemical burn. Really frustrating.
@@ScoobyDoosMom the ordinary's is stronger than peach and Lily's version. I found my skin to prefer the lighter percentage! It worked a lot better with my lifestyle (lots of chlorine exposure) and tretinoin (.05%) on other days. If you don't have sensitive skin or sensitizing lifestyle or strong retinols, it's probably worth going for one of the other brands that have a higher %, and I think they're both cheaper than peach and Lily's
@@gwendolinehall1386 thanks so much for the info and for writing. I’m on Tretinoin for almost 6 mos and about to increase to .05 from .025. I was avoiding Peach & Lily simply because of their built in fragrance & having being warned that this can be irritating to skin using Tret. I never considered myself to have sensitive skin (but I’m now in my young 50s so maybe my skin changed?). I’ve done really well on Tret but when I tried adding mineral sunscreen after going on Tret, my skin had allergic reactions to every one: it was BAD! I had to discontinue all my skin care because I had what felt like a chemical burn. (I had been on Tret for months and reaction happened very shortly after applying the mineral sunscreen and I use no other skin care so I have no doubt it was that . I also only wore it in the house, so it wasn’t from a reaction to the sun; it was a reaction to something in the sunscreen. I don’t know if I was allergic to a specific ingredient or to mineral sunscreens all together. I am waiting for some J&K beauty chemical sunscreens to arrive and hopefully my skin can tolerate those because I obviously need to be wearing SPF. I am homebound at the moment and try to stay away from windows until I can find a sunscreen my face can tolerate. From what I understand, the encapsulated copper peptides are safer/less risky to not work together, but I’m not sure how I know which are encapsulated unless I can find that out from the ingredient list. I’m guessing you haven’t tried the Theramid 3%? Copper Peptide (navy blue bottle). That was the one I was going to order. I’m not sure if the cops are encapsulated. Trying to find ones that are, as well as one with snap 8, is becoming a real pain,
Your skin has become sensitive because of the BHA even though it’s sensitive. BHA is BHA usually 2%. I use this once or twice a week with my other acids.
If retinaldehyde makes products yellow, then why Transparent Lab's Retinal Age Reverse Cream is ALL YELLOW? I checked out our local retinal serum from Miss Alice in Slovenia and noticed theirs is VERY YELLOW and they too use encapsulated version, so that cannot be the reason why Transparent Lab's Cream is white. Do you think it's fake?
I bought the copper peptide serum from the ordinary and copper peptides from Skin Actives Science and put it into the bottle making it 2%. It lasts forever since I literally use exactly 3 drops nightly but I will switch over to this 3% once I know my skin is good with going from 1% to 2%. The $50 does seem like a lot but not really. Can you do a video on Skin Actives Science, I think you have bought the copper peptide liquid as well but they have alot of DIY ingredients including Growth factors.
Great info Sarah. I've just started using this. I've been using their azid Azelaic acid serum for about a year, and numbuzin no.5 serum a few months. I can tolerate it all together in my morning routine just fine. I don't think this combo should have any issues? My skin loves it. Just wanted your valued opinion. Thank you honeymoon!
Hi Sarah; great video and right on time coz I’m looking to incorporate copper peptide into my routine. Between this and TO copper peptide which one would you recommend,???
I’m having a hard time finding a vitamin c serum because l-ascorbic acid just flares up the capillaries on my face. I want to try this during the day- what are your favorite chemical sunscreens here in the U.S?
Hi, I watched a video from Claudia Glow's channel a question and answer interview with Dr. Ania. At the beginning of the video, she talks about the ineffectiveness of peptides in skincare. There's no way it works, because it just stays on the surface of the skin... it would be interesting to hear what you think about her advice . The title of the video in question begins with "how to eliminate jowls and improve the undereyes area with Dr Ania".
There is a group of people that don't believe in peptides- I am in the opposite camp on this topic. I also think tools like microneedling help peptides penetrate better if that is their opposition to peptides. The results from peptides are undeniable to me. The research on pubmed is also hard to refute. There's always going to be non-believers in everything, but to me what I've personally experienced using peptides is amazing.
@@NOBSBeautyIf you do micro needling, do you stop Tretinoin a certain # of days before? are you still using Tret? Id love to know if you prefer the Theramid serums over the Reviv ones you recently reviewed. Thanks, Sarah!
If you have dry skin this is great but if you are oily the Niod cais 3. Sometimes cais makes my skin very flaky, it does speed your skin renewal very quickly
I have used both and like both. If I had to choose it would be Theramid. It just has more beneficial ingredients. the ordinary is a great serum if you are on a tight budget and it is easier to find.
You mention micro needling… I did the at home Qure micro needling twice and both times, and days later experience the worst irritation and perioral dermatitis… maybe I started my actives again too soon? Should I just discontinue use of the four remaining Qure treatments I purchased? I’m so disappointed 😔
@@TaylorOwenPossibly Rosa damascena. More likely, you returned to using actives too soon. It’s best to wait 48 hours before re-introducing any retinoids or acids such as vitamin c.
@@vetsai8199 I think that’s it. I did it Saturday afternoon and eliminated actives through Sunday but wore makeup Monday - I could have used an active sooner than that… of course, once my skin cleared, I tried the Alpha-H midnight reboot serum I bought before starting Tret and my face blew up again… perhaps the highest strength glycolic acid was a very wrong idea.
@NOBSBeauty I find the serum not easily spreadable and use it when damn but find slight tingly sensation when applied damn with BOJ. Thanks for replying - you are awesome even though this video is not new you always reply xo
If you want to use this in the same routine with tret I would apply the Theramid Serum first in your routine and then apply a good serum or moisturizer in between them as a buffer. If your skin is sensitive it might be best to use them in different routines, but if your skin can tolerate it I think it will work best with a buffer.
Interesting question- the Sub Q was holy grail for so many people. I liked it but could only use it occasionally without my skin starting to get irritated. I think that might have been from the salicylic acid in the SubQ. The subq is definitely much thinner in texture. I think a major difference is the inclusion of copper peptides in the Theramid. Here's an ingredient breakdown between the two products you will find interesting: incidecoder.com/compare-products/niche-beauty-lab-theramid-copper-peptide-4/hylamide-subq-anti-age-advanced-serum

Which is best would you say? Overwhelmed by all the peptide info!
@@grzeszczny when searching for raw copper peptides online, the ones I found were also from China.
@@NOBSBeautyhi does this have the same hard smell that geek and gorgeous does? And do you feel is noticably better?
Hi Sara.I'm hapy that you love it too.I told you abaut this prodact giune when it came out.Wonderful brand.Hi from Italy.
Oh thank you so much for being the one to tell me about this brand!! I picked up a ton of their other stuff too. Cannot wait to review that too. So jealous that you live in Italy! Wonderful country and such smashing food and wine 🤗
@@NOBSBeauty Wonderful place.I live in Tuscany.Hungarian Italian.Check the Retinylretinoate serum,alsaw 1 month new.For me a dup of Medic8 Intens Retinilretinoate 280€serum.
I bought this thanks to you! I am trying it on a very badly healing cut on my shin that was looking like it might scar badly.
Please answer me, which serum is better, this or NIOD?🙏🏽 ❤
Thank you breaking down how to use this product ❤❤
I was told to use my copper peptides as first step at night before my tretinoin.....are you saying don't do that? I only use in night routine....
What copper peptide powder do you use or did you use.
I’m enjoy this! It has a very emollient texture very good now for the winter months. I bought it because I saw it on your channel 💚
So happy to hear you're enjoying it, always nice to hear what works for everyone whether it's good or bad so thank you for letting me know. 😉
We most have the same skin type. I never been let down by any of your recommendations. Thank you Sarah!
Omg this is SO smart!!! Thank you for commenting
I hate missed the Black Friday sale but I do plan on trying this one I finish up the ordinary one.
Maybe new years / Christmas sale ??? I’m hoping I missed it too got confused with the web sites for USA 🇺🇸
Sarah, this product looks interesting. What do you use over it? Does it affect your melasma?
Great info Sarah. I've just started using this. I've been using their azid Azelaic acid serum for about a year, and numbuzin no.5 serum a few months. I can tolerate it all together in my morning routine just fine. I don't think this combo should have any issues? My skin loves it. Just wanted your valued opinion. Thank you honeymoon!
You look SO amazing!!!!
Oh thank you so much- you are too kind! I appreciate it 😊🤗
Hi Sarah; great video and right on time coz I’m looking to incorporate copper peptide into my routine. Between this and TO copper peptide which one would you recommend,???
Could this serum be used after microneedling 0,5+ depth?
I’m having a hard time finding a vitamin c serum because l-ascorbic acid just flares up the capillaries on my face. I want to try this during the day- what are your favorite chemical sunscreens here in the U.S?
Love your laugh 😊
@@NOBSBeautyThank you for your answer. 😊
@@NOBSBeautyIf you do micro needling, do you stop Tretinoin a certain # of days before? are you still using Tret? Id love to know if you prefer the Theramid serums over the Reviv ones you recently reviewed. Thanks, Sarah!
@@ScoobyDoosMom Great question
Whoops I used the ordinary toner and then copper peptides after I layered a calm toner after the the ordinary toner.
Would you prefer this over the niod copper peptide cais3? I use theramid's azelaic acid and retinol serums but wasn't sure about the copper peptide
If you have dry skin this is great but if you are oily the Niod cais 3. Sometimes cais makes my skin very flaky, it does speed your skin renewal very quickly
@@sunshine9993 thanks!
Do you like this better than The Ordinary with copper peptide serum? Sounds like yes.
I have used both and like both. If I had to choose it would be Theramid. It just has more beneficial ingredients. the ordinary is a great serum if you are on a tight budget and it is easier to find.
I was charged duty which was more than the product was. Can you use this with growth factors?
You mention micro needling… I did the at home Qure micro needling twice and both times, and days later experience the worst irritation and perioral dermatitis… maybe I started my actives again too soon? Should I just discontinue use of the four remaining Qure treatments I purchased? I’m so disappointed 😔
Are you sure you’re not allergic to any ingredients in the treatment?
@@tiahnarodriguez3809 All ingredients:
Rosa Damascena Flower Water, Butylene Glycol, Panthenol, Glycerin, Niacinamide, 1,2-Hexanediol, Allantoin, Sodium Hyaluronate, sh-Oligopeptide-1, Carbomer, Arginine, Ethylhexylglycerin… I don’t think so??? 🤔
Can you use 2% niacinamide with it eg. BOJ Ginseng Essence water then this?
I think that would be just fine- give the Essence a moment to absorb and then apply the Theramid afterwards.
@NOBSBeauty I find the serum not easily spreadable and use it when damn but find slight tingly sensation when applied damn with BOJ. Thanks for replying - you are awesome even though this video is not new you always reply xo
What's on your eyes? So pretty!
I recently got the Natasha Denona Retro Glam Palette on sale and I've been loving it!
@@NOBSBeauty it suits you very much!
Can I use this with tretinoin
If you want to use this in the same routine with tret I would apply the Theramid Serum first in your routine and then apply a good serum or moisturizer in between them as a buffer. If your skin is sensitive it might be best to use them in different routines, but if your skin can tolerate it I think it will work best with a buffer.
How can it be 16% peptides if the most concentrated peptide is 3% and is far above on the list? Im confused 🤔

@NOBSBeauty thanks, the issue is rhe first copper peptide is at 3% then how do they get to 16% or whatever they claim i don't understand
So sad to see cyclic silicones on the inci 😒.
how does this compare to the discontinued hylamide Sub q?
Interesting question- the Sub Q was holy grail for so many people. I liked it but could only use it occasionally without my skin starting to get irritated. I think that might have been from the salicylic acid in the SubQ. The subq is definitely much thinner in texture. I think a major difference is the inclusion of copper peptides in the Theramid. Here's an ingredient breakdown between the two products you will find interesting: incidecoder.com/compare-products/niche-beauty-lab-theramid-copper-peptide-4/hylamide-subq-anti-age-advanced-serum
@@NOBSBeauty thanks! I still have some bottles left but im trying to prepare.. it really works well for me. I like the texture a lot too. I wonder if the Niod serum with the initials in the title is close.
I purchased this product after watching this review and I have it on my face right now. I wish I could take a picture and upload I use a lot of skin care and the texture of this product is very odd. I don’t even know how to explain it and it definitely doesn’t feel like it’s sinking into my skin. It just feels like it’s sitting on top. My face is also discolored lol I have blue spots everywhere lol it looks like my face is dirty, I tried rubbing in this product and it’s not really doing anything but just moving around. It’s very strange. I don’t know what to make of this. This is my first time using it though I will try again later and see how it goes.
Idk if you ever figured it out but I use a hydrating facial mist right before applying! I notice it does way better on slightly damp skin. It’s perfect now!
I rather stick with IDEBENONE from Prevage by Elizabeth Arden

Ascorbic acid has shown to have a reservoir in MICE skin. Not human skin to my understanding. If you have a study showing ascorbic acids reservoir in HUMAN skin, please post. Thanks !
Niche azalaic acid is 15 percent, which you can't find uyn the US. Nice.
Very good point, you're right, the US limits it to 10%. I've had good luck with anywhere from 10 up to 20. I think the higher percentage seems to help a bit more with my redness.
